This is just a standard coffee cake in case someone is averse to crumb overdose.
What is this "crumb overdose" you speak of? It CANNOT exist! IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Oh that looks good :)
I saw March mommies thread--so sad. Thinking of her
Well lucky me-I got a bacterial infection on my back from the chiros office. It is from these pads they put on my back--nice huh. Ugg I feel icky

Sha! I would think not but I was trying to be politically correct and cater to everyone's whims. Fine, I'm off to find an extra crumby coffeecake for those who can handle it. :p
Ally-Eeeeuw! I go to the chiro too and never thought about the pads that they use. Exactly how do they sterilize them? Yuck! Are you on a special cream or something? Hope you heal soon. You've got me all skeeved out.

sophiapd I am on antibotics-oral. Sorry didn't mean to gross you out!! They do spray them with something before they put them on so I assume it is to sterilize them! We assume that is how I got it because it is in the EXACT place where they put the pads.

Sophia, You made me cry! Damn it! It's a good thing I haven't worn make-up since before Collin was born. Hmmm...maybe that's why I spend my days looking like the walking dead....note to self...start wearing make-up again. :D My horizon of Hope basket is from 1998. It's not as pretty as the one you posted, but still very nice. MMMMM...crumbly coffee cake.
Ally, Sorry about the infection. Ick. I hope it clears up quickly.
**That is so sad about the baby in the March thread. :(

You made me cry! Damn it!
Nonsense! I can't take any credit. You and I are due to ovulate next week and our bodies are gearing up the hormones, making us sentimental fools. Whatever you do, don't show a Hallmark commercial or a Save The Children ad in front of me 'cause I'll cry like a baby. Now dry those eyes and have some extra crumby coffee cake with me. :D

Thanks! I needed that! Has anyone been over to chit chat to read the SAHM thread! yet again a disaster! There were some remarks that really made me want to scream, but I'm not nervy enough to join the debate. :p

kim ~ I've enjoyed each and everyone of the sigs you've had. They are so funny (and true). I agree that I believe that there are some people that just want to (and love to) debate everything.
Roseanne ~ Glad you had a fun time in the Bahamas. Sorry that the weather wasn't very warm. I'm looking forward to this summer so DD can play in the water. Bathtime has become her time to play in the water. She is mad when it's time to get out because she doesn't want to stop playing with the water (she loves to splash).
sophia ~ Have you ever been to the plant in Ohio? My mom wants to go there. My mom got me addicted to them as well. I have several baskets that they no longer make (the baby rocker basket comes to my mind). I can't wait for DD to get older and put the baby doll rocker basket in her room with a baby doll in it. Of course the first time it gets kicked or hit it's going to be put away and she won't get to have it in her room anymore. I take pride in my baskets. I have long list of ones I'd like to get soon. I got the sewing basket for my b-day last year and the brownie basket for Christmas. My mom has several of the special baskets. Those pictures of the coffee cakes are making me VERY hungry. What are we going to do with you?
Your comments about the Horizon of Hope baskets and the way you chose Alexa's middle name brought tears to my eyes.
SAHM thread ~ Yes, I posted in there last night and today it's already gotten ugly. I never judge or make comments on whether a woman stays home to raise the kid(s), return to work, or starts work after having a baby. It's a decision that she and her husband need to make together based on what fits their family best. If that means staying home, great. If that means going back to work, great. If it means returning to work once the kids are a certain age, great. I guess this is another thread in which there are those that just love to debate anything and everything.
You are judged on everything we do once we become parents. We've had it happen with us. DH plays on a pool league one night a week. We get asked each week why we didn't bring DD with us. Uh let's see....the place is usually filled with drunks (depending upon where we go), smells like a smoke factory, and just not the places that we want to bring our DD (or future children) in until they are a certain age. In fact after last week I've refused to go into a certain establishment because of the way the people acted there. The help wasn't much better (filled a cup full of ice and put about 2 tablespoons of soda/pop in there). And when I asked if they had Diet Dr. Pepper they answered no, but we have Diet Pepsi. I'm one that cannot stomach to drink Diet Pespi (never mind that they had Diet Dr. Pepper not less than 4 wks ago when we were there last) but whatever. I asked to have a cup of water and I'm still waiting on that water. We ordered an appetizer and they didn't have it. They'd have it tomorrow but not then. Okay, if you are going to have food then make sure you have enough on hand at all times. I hate that place.
I also get irritated at the people that are over the team. We tell them each week that we need to be leaving by 10 pm so we can pick DD up (my mom watches her that night). What time do they put DH up to play? The last match and it usually doesn't start until 9:30 or 10. Last Thursday it was that time and the match went on until midnight. I was NOT happy in the least. I got a headache and got sick feeling while we were there and all I wanted to do was go home but would they play DH earlier no. I'm sure that he'll have to play this Thursday after he gets out of class (it only meets on certain nights) even though he's told them that he can't play. It's just fine for one of them not to play because they don't get off until late but since we only have an hour after he gets out of class to be able to start and finish a match is unlikely to happen on those nights.
Julie ~ I love the breast cancer basket line because that disease has hit close to home (my grandma and two of my aunts have been diagnosed or had the disease).
Okay, I was just reading through our old pg threads the other day and got all nostalgic! It's strange that, although I've never met you ladies in person....I feel like I know you. It's nice that I can remember chatting with you all during the m/s and bloating and then through the birth stories and now that our babies are almost one! I guess I just wanted to say Thanks and let you all know how much I appreciate your stories and advice. *hugs* to you.
This is one of the reasons that I wanted to start a group thread for us here. I missed everyone after what happened at the other place. I felt like we all bonded over everything that we had been through during our journey. I thank everyone as well. I've learned new things from everyone.
I've been lurking on the March Mommas thread and one of the members delivered a beautiful little girl who has heart problems complicated by issues from Down Syndrome. I can only imagine how difficult that must be but she has the entire thread behind her (not to mention lurkers like me who say prayers for baby Noa as well) and I know from first hand experience how important and helpful that support can be. I never thought to find that on a message board but here we all are.
I saw that as well. She is from the same area as I am and I've talked to her in our group thread before. I'm so glad that the whole March thread has rallied around her and given her and her family such wonderful support. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as well.
ally ~ Sorry about the infection. Hope the meds take care of it. Are you going to be asking them to sterilize the pads in your presence from now on? Maybe they need to do more than just spray them.

hey ladies..sorry for the long absence.
That Coffee cake has me wanting some!
Ben is growing and growing. 21.7 on our last MD visit two weeks ago. He will be 10 months april 8th. Hates pasta but eats everything else. Mostly hates napping when he could be exploring the world(then again who wouldn't).
I think i have insomnia. Went to see my ddoctor. I wake up at 4 am and can't go back to sleep. than fixate on the fact that i am awake, get anxious and before you know it Ben is up and at 'em. So, i'm trying tylenol PM along with going to bed a little later (now i shut the light at 10 b/c i am so tired). Am i the only one w/ these issues? I had this initially when ben was like 4-10 weeks but its been going great until recently. Anyway, that's with me.
Ally..feel better with the infection.
will upload a pic soon.

Toss it. Supposedly breast milk can be frozen up to 3 months in a regular freezer and six months in a deep freeze. However, I found that any of my breast milk that was frozen even close to three months was cheesy and semi-rancid (yes, I did taste it :o ). I ended up tossing out so much of my now infamous 1200 oz. stash because of this even though I did have it in our basement freezer which was opened a lot less than a regular freezer would be. Ah well.
Edited to say Sorry about the insomnia. I've been sleeping like the dead lately so I can't really give too much input.

Frozen breastmilk: I defrosted a bottle from October two weeks ago which of course Asher didn't drink. (My freezer is full of breastmilk that I'm sure I'll end up tossing.) But it smelled and tasted fine to me, so I guess it depends on your freezer.
Extra crumby coffee cake: MMmmmm!!! When do I get to meet you, Sophia?
Our old thread: Yeah, I remember trying to reassure Ally frequently. And posting a long explanation about pasturized cheese in our first trimester. And Sophia's horrible morning sickness, though she did manage to eat some lemon chicken on Christmas (why do I remember that?) Liz buying about 30 dresses when she found out she was having a girl. Both Naamah and I wished we were having babies of the opposite gender (do you still feel that way? I love Asher to death, but I still sometimes find myself wishing for a little girl.)
Pictures: Later, I promise! My DH is the keeper of the pictures, and he just had oral surgery today.
ETA: Sophia: I misremembered. It was your MIL's Greek lemon potatoes, and I think it was Thanksgiving. :)

Old Thread~Ugh! I remember the morning sickness. That was about the only thing giving away that I was having a girl to Liz. There are some days I wish I had a boy, but I'm so in love with DD that I couldn't trade her in! The next one though had better be a boy, though!! ;)
Well, gotta go. American Idol is about to start any minute!

I'll be emailing you soon...there will be a NJ/NYC get together at Chez Kim in the near future. ;)

Sorry, but EEW!

Okay, I do believe that is EXTRA crumbly, but I for one can never have too much crumbly. :D Yummy yummy yum yum!
SAHM Debate
Ugh, maybe by being so close in CC proximity everyone's periods are just really close together and its making them all cranky and up for a debate? ;)
usawife
Thanks. :) And here I was thought I was just amusing myself...
Mrs. Chappy
Could it be a hormonal thing?
Or is it a time you used to be woken up by the baby? Thomas used to get up at 4am every night, and when he finally stopped my body still woke me up...then for a few days kept me up thinking 'well he's likely gonna get up anyway so why fall asleep?' It took me a bit to get back to STTN myself! lol
Old Thread
Sounds like you ladies had a nice time! Too bad I was late to jump into the gorup...but OH BOY! you are all so welcoming.
Huggies Overnights
Bought some today and am praying to the Gods of Pee that he doesn't leak and wake up 10 million times tonight. I need SLEEP.
Blah
Good news: I think I got my real period! Yay! A cycle!
Bad news: I think I got my real period! Boo! Ouch!
I bought Extra Strength Midol today for the first time in about 2 years. Thank God for Midol, is all I have to say about that.
Dreshny

Naamah: I wouldn't trade Asher in for a girl, either, but I'm holding out hope for the next one.

Dr's Appt~What a stinkin' waste of time. I walked in, they handed me two bags, and said to get another urine sample!! They could've told me that over the phone and sent orders to the hospital for a second set of labs! Then, I would've had to pay $25 for the appt! They said I should get a call in the morning with the results.
OMGosh! I cannot believe what happened tonight. We got a letter from our bank saying that we were over $400 negative in our account! Turns out somebody put in a $60 check as a $660 dollar check! DH is going to the bank in the morning to straighten things out. Ugh!!!

thesis Still working on it...only 10 days left to finish it. I should be working on it now, but instead I am on here and heading over to the juicy threads! I am so glad the ladies in here aren't like some of those people in the other threads!! I feel like I can say anything in here without having my head chewed off!
Mini-vacation I am kinda bummed. We were supposed to go to a lake about 3 hours from our house and stay at my DH bosses house. But his boss has to have emergency surgery on friday and we can't go! We are going to try and find somewhere else to go, but I am not sure there will be much since it's spring break!
Huggies Overnights We bought these about a month ago because DS was leaking through every night. The hasn't had a leak since!! The thing that sucks is that they cost like 12.00 for 60 or so. I usually buy 150 for 28!
Tgr Yikes about your account! Hopefully your DH won't have to sent to much time fixing the banks error.
kimthebride yeah for AF! Sorry about the pain! I guess I am lucky because my period is way different then pre-pregnancy. I am not sure if it's because I am still BF, but I don't have cramps anymore or any other systems. Before pregnancy I couldn't even walk because of the horrible cramps!
Mrs Chappy Congrats on being done BFing!

I’ve been so busy at work. They fired the boss I had pre-Maternity leave and things are just crazy here. I haven’t even had time to come in here and enjoy crumb cake with you ladies. :(
Sophia,
That basket is beautiful. I’ve never heard of them before.
Naamah,
OMG! I hope they get that straightened out soon. What a mess!!
Ally,
Oh no, I’m so sorry! Hope you get over the infection soon!!
Ms. Chappy,
4 months is about as long as I’ve gone (in a chest freezer). DD ate it just fine. Like the others have said, I heard 3 months in a regular freezer and 6 months in a deep freezer. Sorry about the insomnia. I had it right after Caroline was born. Call your doc and see if they can prescribe you some Ambien. Worked like a charm for me. Only thing is, my OB warned me to put DH on alert in case baby should wake up. You’ll sleep pretty deeply. Otherwise, I would stick with Tylenol PM if it’s working.
Kim,
Sorry AF has come back with a vengeance. My first couple were pretty rough, but they’ve gotten a lot better. That’s great though that you’ve had a cycle so quickly after weaning. Hope, hope!!
The Old Thread
Awww…I’m getting so nostalgic! Good times, good times! I remember how shocked we all were when Saathei found out she was having twins at her 20 week u/s. Kind of made me worry about mine. LOL! I remember when Winter Bride found out about ABS but couldn’t say anything for a couple of weeks until she was certain. In the meantime, she tormented us with the possibility of “some very exciting news”. I remember Julie’s lopsided belly, too! And reassuring her after episodes of early spotting. Oh! And who’s u/s was it where the umbilical cord looked like a giant penis? ROTFL!!!! We’ve had some good times together ladies. I feel so close to you all. One day, we’ll have to throw a real-life reunion somewhere. How much fun would that be?

Meri: Thanks again for starting this thread. ;) I just have to laugh at the people who are so full of themselves over in chit chat. Yikes. I agree with the assessment that some people like to debate for the sake of debate. So be it.
MrsChappy: Ben is such a big boy! I agree that tossing the BM was the right decision. Now that Ithink of it, I might have some in the freezer that needs tossing.
Roseanne: I hope your DH is feeling okay after his oral surgery.
Naamah: I swear that Dr.'s offices are such crap! I'm sorry you had to go in and pay for that! That is nutty about your account. I hope it gets taken care of soon.
Kim: You may not have been in the old thread from the start, but I can still recall the announcement of Thomas' birth. You were among the early ones to go. ;) I'd like to know the details of the get together...I can at least make an attempt to get up that way. :D
Ferris: What a bummer that the mini-trip got cancelled. Hopefully, you will find somewhere else to go. Get that Thesis done girl! You need to relax!
Liz: Sorry the work situation is crappy. I totally remember all of the things you posted and the unbmilical cord looking like a penis! LOL! Ah man, who was that.

Mrs. Chappy-Ugh, it took me almost two hours to fall asleep last night. Was that boomerang karma for saying that I slept like the dead? I honestly wasn't bragging as much as stating that I'm exhausted all the time!
Dreshny-Mmmmmm, lemon potatoes and Greek lamb. I'm still amazed that I was able to eat it AND keep it down. A Thanksgiving miracle! ;)
I remember seeing your beach bikini photo with your cute baby belly sticking out and thinking "I don't look that good when I'm NOT pregnant." Hey, why isn't there a "green with jealousy" smilie?
Crap Ferris! Maybe you can find a cute B&B someplace. Now get off this thread and go work on your thesis! :p
Kim-You weren't with us from the beginning? When did you come on board? I thought you were always there.
maybe by being so close in CC proximity everyone's periods are just really close together and its making them all cranky *snort* :D
Tgr-I flippin' hate doctors offices sometimes! What is the matter with them? I once had a morning appointment which neccesitated me getting up early, taking in an earlier bus into the city, walking several blocks in the cold to the office with the knowledge that I'd be schlepping several more blocks afterwards to get to work. I finally saw the doctor after waiting almost 45 minutes and he says "I just wanted to tell you that everything is fine and you don't to come see me anymore." WTH? He couldn't tell me that on the phone? I went off on him! He got all defensive and said "Believe it or not, I'm not doing this for your co-pay. I like a personal relationship with my patients." Screw you! Do you have any respect for my time? It seriously took him 20 seconds to tell me I didn't have to come in any more but it took an hour out of my life not to mention the hassle of getting to the office plus my $20 co-pay. What an ass. I didn't pay him and told my insurance to disregard a claim from him for that date. Idiot! Well, that bridge is burned!
One day, we’ll have to throw a real-life reunion somewhere
I seriously think we need to do this. Maybe for the two year mark so we can start saving vacation days and frequent flyer miles now. Hey, kids still fly free until they are two, correct?
Edited to ask if anyone has heard from Leela? She was always so great about posting pictures of Sophia and throwing out new food ideas but I don't think she's been here for at least a month. Lisa, where are you?

Ferris~Thanks.
LIZ~Thanks. Sorry about the hectic work situation works itself out.
Julie~Thanks. I was pretty peeved over the whole dr's thing. the unbmilical cord looking like a penis! LOL!! OMGosh! I had totally forgotten about this until just now!
Dr's Update~Just got a call from the dr's office. Everything turned out normal, so they think the first sample just got contaminated.
Bank Update~DH took care of things this morning. They said they would fix everything, including any insufficient funds charges as a result of the mistake.
Oh, just a note. I quit my babysitting job. I told the girl's mom that she needed to find someone else, but I'd be happy to what her DD in the meantime. If she hasn't found anybody by next week, I'll start prodding her more.

I just read the whole first trimester thread (I am SO going to get fired) and it's quite funny to look back when we were young and innocent. Pretty much all of my posts refer to vomit, dry heaving, gagging while brushing teeth and calling DH an idiot. Yeah, I was a fun person to be around. ;) This past weekend I had a migraine for over two days and got nausea along with it. It felt EXACTLY like M/S and if I hadn't finished AF a few days prior I would thought for sure I was pregnant. It did remind me of the hell I went through when pregnant and put a tiny bit of doubt in my mind about whether I could really go through it again. The I looked over at Alexa and thought "Yup. I'd do every bit of again and will get ready for whatever gets thrown our way the next time." :)

Roseanne: I hope your DH is feeling okay after his oral surgery.
Thanks. He felt awful last night, but says he's better today. He had skin taken from the roof of his mouth and grafted over his receding gums. *shudder* And yesterday was the second of two procedures.
Sophia: :D Thanks. I once saw a very pregnant woman on the beach in a bikini and swore one day I'd do the same if I looked okay enough. I should maybe figure out how to unpost that picture, though.
I wonder what I said in my first trimester? I remember being petrified that I was going to miscarry, but I don't think I admitted it.
On that note, does anyone know how to find my old posts to compile and print? I tried doing it once with my stuff on the May thread (and managed to find my announcement of Asher's birth), but the rest was such a jumble and hard to navigate.

Roseanne ~ That procedure your DH had done makes me shudder. Hope he is feeling better soon.
kim ~ I think you are correct. Nope, you aren't just amusing yourself with the sigs. Hope the overnight diapers work out for you. Congrats on AF arriving but sorry for the discomfort it brought as well. My first few after they returned were horrible. They are now finally getting back to what they were like pre-pregnancy.
Old Threads ~ I've saved all the previous threads and will go back and print them out (or at least my enteries) whenever I have enough time. Not sure when that will be though. I've been trying to teach myself to use Paint Shop Pro since we bought it over a year ago. Guess I should have made time while I was pregnant but I didn't for various reasons. I have remembered the things that everyone has posted about so far. I'd forgotten so of them until I was reminded about them though. There were a few of us that had bleeding issues during the first trimester as well. What a scare that will put in to you.
Naamah ~ Sorry about the trouble with the doctor's office. I've been there as well a few times. Sorry about the account trouble. Glad they straightened it all out. After the trouble we had we have switched banks and pay most (if not all) of our stuff online now with the exception of things we can pay in person.
Ferris ~ Get working on that thesis. I'd be running around like a chicken with it's head cutoff if I only had 10 days left to finish it and it wasn't finished. Sorry about the mini-vacation getting cancelled.
Liz ~ Sorry about being busy at work. Maybe we should do a reunion. Not sure about next year though. We are thinking of going to Disney World next summer and I could possibly be pregnant by then as well depending upon certain things. And I certainly won't be committing to any travel until I know just how sick I'm going to be and if the thyroid problem is still present if that means I'll be high risk.
Julie ~ Thanks. I just missed the closeness we all had. I just didn't get that with the May thread. Guess it was because we hadn't bonded the way we all had because I had no reason to post in there. After I joined here I joined the May thread but everyone's baby was so far ahead of DD that I felt like I was deadlast. So I tried joining the July thread. And it was not the same. I felt like I knew absolutely no one in the group and just didn't feel comfortable posting there so usually I didn't. And that's when I decided to start this thread. And I'm so glad that pretty much everyone has stopped by. Maybe we need to send out announcements to those that haven't joined us here. I never go over to the other site anymore.
Sophia ~ I'd been more than a little mad in the same situation. I do believe that they should have just told you that over the phone. Glad to hear that they didn't charge you the copay since it cost you all that time and trouble.
9 month WBV ~ DD's appt was yesterday. Everything is great. She's growing just fine.
Stats:
Weight: 18 lbs
Length: 28 inches

Errr, lost my entire post.
Meri ~ Glad to hear everything went well at DD's appt. I second everyone's appreciation at your initiation of this thread. I find the May/June one moves too fast for me to keep up.
Roseanne ~ Add me to the list of those shuddering. I can never look at the surgical field if I'm in the ENT or maxofacial surgery rooms- just looks too painful!
kim ~ I hope the overnight diapers do the trick for you- leaks are not good, especially if they wake DS during the night!!
Naamah ~ Sorry about the doctor's office, but glad to hear DD is alright. My grandparents had a similar bank error a few years back and my sister's birthday check from them bounced as a result. Poor girl felt too embarassed to say anything to my grandparents about it so she just paid the bank charges and didn't mention it until they did.
Liz ~ Sorry about craziness at work. I hope the new boss will work out well. I'd love a reunion. It would be so fun to see all these babes in person!

Kim-You weren't with us from the beginning? When did you come on board? I thought you were always there.
I had my own journal, but wasn't aware (I don't think!) of any due-in-June group thread. :( I would have loved to talk about m/s andseen the umbilical-penis with you all! ;)
Girl
I am embarassed to admit it especially since I *just* got my AF back and have yet to see whether I am actually Oing, but I was soooo tempted to order a SHettles book last night from Amazon to read and actively try for a girl. Mind you, when we TTC I'll take what I can get - but it would be SO FUN to have one! :D
AF
Oh MAN does it suck! I am still so bloated I look 3 months preggo - DH keeps touching my tummy (yeah that is just so funny  ), and I feel like complete poop. Mind you, before I was TTCing I was on BCP since High School because my periods were so rough...so I don't know if this yucko AF is just my body kicking back into gear and it'll get better, or if its just gonna be Hell all over again til I get preggo (hopefully) again.
Though I did NOT use it as an excuse to not exercise today - please be proud! I did my Strollercize class outside at the park (where we met, dreshny!) for 45 minutes and I pushed thru it even though I just wanted to lay down in the sun and nap.
Wierd Night
So once I weaned from boob to bottle, DS started leaking at night. So I starting giving less formula thinking he was taking less from me. Well, then he started waking at night. He seems to be teething & was leaking, so I thought that was it.
Last night he was up at 11pm and DH kept trying to put him back, we tried Motrin thinking it was teething, Mylicon thinking it was gas, diaper change thinking he was wet...finally I tried giving him more formula...and in the end he took 6 more oz at 11:45pm!! Then Tom got him back down and he slept til the morning. YAY! So today & tonight I made all his bottles 8oz and put the Huggies Overnight on him. He's been out since 7:45pm and I am PRAYING he sleeps....
This pooped, Midol-taking woman experiencing her 1st AF since August 2004 needs a good night's rest! :p

kelsey ~ You are welcome. Yes, that was another problem with the May/June thread. I couldn't keep up with it (and still can't even though I try).
I had to have some x-rays yesterday as well. I've had this spot on my back for a few years now (maybe 5/6 years). I showed it to my former doctor (who is now retired) and he said to keep an eye on it and to let him know if ever got sore/tender or started to bother me. Well, of the course of the last few weeks it's started to get more sore, tender and bother me so I decided to have it looked at again. I ended up with having about a fair amount of x-rays taken. I'm waiting to hear what they show. I'm hoping that it doesn't involve surgery although I'm thinking it might. It's gotten to the point where I can't lay on my back because it's so tender and sore. I can't lay on that side anymore either. And I can't lay very long on the other side because of nerve damage to my arm and elbow. It was so sore last night that I had to find something to help relieve the pain.
Anyone have any after effects from the epidural? I do. The injection site is still sore/tender. I also have a lower backache a fair amount of the time. And I have numb spot on one of my hips. I wish I had known this would all happen and I might have opted not to have gotten it since I only had pain relief from it for an an hour.

Major stress here! I am stressing so bad that I ate 1/2 a large pizza!! When I am stressed I eat. Luckly no weight gain yet!! I made a list of what I have left to finish and it's not to much, but thank goodness I have srping break next week and will be able to work on it all day if needed.
Mini-vacation We found a new place to go. We are going to Seaside, Oregon. We got a cute cottage house on the beach for 5 people for only 160 a night. I am excited about going their because that is where they taped Goonies and I am a goonies nut!! :p Of course I will be working on my paper while we are there!

does anyone know how to find my old posts to compile and print?
Hey Dreshny. I just went to the original threads (you can find the links on the first page here), scrolled through looking for my posts and then copied and pasted my entries into Word Documents. Note that you have to copy and paste the date and then contents of the post since they are two different fields but I thought it was important to have the date there. It wasn't the fastest thing in the world but I did get into a rhythm. I never took the time to keep a diary while I was pregnant but my posts essentially were a diary. It was so amazing to look back on the progression of the pregnancy and I know Alexa will get a big kick out of when she is older. I got to reread portions of the thread and I am so glad that I took the time for this little project. I now have an ongoing journal with the posts that I put in this thread. Alexa is growing so fast and there are things that I forget about until I reread about them in one of my posts.

Had a little scare last night...
Everything was normal, he had 8oz at bedtime, was wearing a Huggies overnight, and I was looking forward to Thomas STTN after putting him down at 7:45pm.
Well around 10pm we hear him suddenly start Screaming Bloody Murder - I RAN down the stairs to his crib. He was laying flat on his back in his crib all stiff and Freaking Out. Even when I Shhhh'd him and tried to wrap him in his blanket and give him his binky...nothing, he stayed stiff and wouldn't calm down one bit.
Then DH came down and was like "he doesn't sound happy" (gee thanks for the obvious statement of the year!) so I turned on all the lights and stripped his pjs off. The only thing we could notice was a red mark on the side of his head.
I *think* he may have tried to step up on his FP Aquarium, slipped, bumped his head on the crib and fell on his back and scared the heck out of himself. It took about 15 minutes to get him calmed down, dressed, and relaxed enough again to put him back down.
It was scary - while DH calmed him I moved the FP Aquarium to the wall side of the crib. I gave him some gas drops because he tooted a couple times, swayed him back to sleep. Then he STTN, minus a couple times he woke and settled himself back down, and was fine this morning.
This morning I noticed that the mesh bumper on the side of the crib that faces out (where the FP Aquarium was) was all pushed down...as if he was stepping on it to try and climb out.
All I can think of it what if we had left the big bumper in there instead of replacing it with a soft mesh one, or what if he succeddfully threw himself out of the crib using the AQuarium? Scary.

Yowzers Kim. You've got a little daredevil on your hands. Glad Thomas didn't succeed with his escape plan.
Alexa, too, had a mild freak out last night because she managed to flip her self around in bed, despite wearing her sleepsack which usually limits her crawling and flipping, and got tangled up in her blanket and bumper and then jammed in a corner. What started off as mild whining on the monitor turned into panicky yelling. DH being the typical man asks "Why is she yelling like that?". I don't know you idiot but I'll go check since YOU can't tear yourself away from "Lost" (well, it WAS a new episode). When I got up to Alexa's room, she looked like a crazed rabbit caught in a trap. I got her all untangled and calmed down but I still felt so bad for her. If I felt that badly over a simple entanglement, Kim, you must have been FUH-REAKED!

Ferris: Glad you found a new place to go. I LOVE the GOONIES! I could watch it over and over and over again! I want to come with you! hehe!
Meri: Hope everything turns out alright with the x-rays. I haven't had any residual affects from the epidural. No pain or marks or anything.
Roseanne: I think the way WC is set up now, makes it a lot more difficult to edit things. You need to go post by post. I edited my newlywed journal and I need to go back and get rid of some stuff from our original threads. I really should print some, though.
Holy cow, Kim! That is scary. I think there must have been something in the air last night, b/c Collin also woke up with uncontrollable screaming and it took us at least 15 minutes to get him calm. It was almost like a night terror or something. :(
Sophia, You'd think those sleep sacks would be a deterent. Not here, either. I always find collin all over the crib. He has now figured out how to pull him self up to standing in the darned thing.
Collin got 2 new teeth the other day. I can't remember if I posted this already! He got his two eye teeth. I have to admit...I feel them when nursing and am very, very nervous.

Yeah, Tom first thought Thomas had a nightmare. He redeemed himself (after his looking at the monitor that he was next to and shouting to me in the other room "the baby's screaming!" ...which I then heard and flew past Mr. Lazy to see what was wrong...) by rocking DS while I was checking him out and whispering "its okay, I have bad dreams too, its all over, you're okay, mommy and daddy are here" and kissing his head.
Houdini
After hearing all these stories, I am *so* not impressed with Houdini anymore. Apparently we are all born with these skills!
WC
You used to be able to easily save & print them, but I haven't been able to figure a way to do it since the change. You can't even delete your journals now! I had to go through entry by entry on my journals and "edit" them by deleting the contents and putting an "X" instead. Aggravating. I did it because someone from CANADA emailed PMd me: someone stole images from my posts and put them on a Canadian message board. I reached the board's tech support an got it deleted, but it freaked me enough to delete as much as I could from WC.

Thanks to everyone for posting the stats. I knew I probably didn't go back far enough for a few (I only went back until the beginning of March).
Ferris ~ Try not to stress too much (I know that's easier said than done sometimes). Congrats on finding a new place to go. And I'm sure that you'll get the thesis done and still have time to relax and have fun next week.
kim ~ How scary! We had put the Aquarium on the wall side when we put it on the crib. I had quite a time with DD last night as well. Everytime I tried to put her in the crib she would wake up. Maybe there was something up last night since a few had problems with waking up.
Julie ~ I saw a thread in which a woman asked if others had any residual effects from having an epidural. The spot on my hip doesn't really bother me only when I touch and it it's numb (sort of like around my elbow from a fall on the ice 11 years ago). Congrats on the two teeth.
Removing pictures ~ I used to remove pictures that I no longer wanted people to be able to see by simply removing the picture link or removing the picture and then uploading it again. It would break the link and therefore would just bring up a red x where the picture once was. Some hosting sites allow the picture to be deleted (you can reupload it) but it still breaks the link.

Kelsey~Thanks. I would've felt bad saying anything either. Poor girl.
Kim~I am terrible about not exercising when AF is in town, even though I feel 10x better aftwards. Kudos to you for sticking with it! Sorry about the scare last night.
Ferris~How cool is that? I haven't seen Goonies in forever!
WC~On printing old journals, the new admins said that really the only option is to copy and paste into a word processing program. Editing old posts are still pretty easy, just click on the sybol right below the "Reply" and "report" links. You still have to do it post by post though.

Collin took 3 steps yesterday! He hasn't done it since, though. I don't think he even realized he wasn't holding on to anything! It was soooo cute and DH and I were both there to see it! After his 3rd little step he grabbed my shirt and started laughing. Awww... my little boy is getting so big.:D

Kim - Does your crib have different mattress levels? Can you move it down a level? How scary!
jmvan74- Steps! How awesome you were there to see them. I always love when DD does something new but it makes me a bit sad also.
tgr68 - How scary! We don't usually have tornados here but every so often one will get spotted. I never know what the heck I'm supposed to do so I wind up hovering in my basement.
Meri - I was a bit sore where the did the epidural for a few days right after but nothing now. Hope the skin spot turns out to be nothing.
DD was 10 months yesterday. I simply can't believe it.
Her 9 month stats: 18lb 1oz., 28 3/4 long, Head circumference 17 1/ 2. Only one shot a only cried for a second. Still no teeth, but I love her gummy smiles. Because she never really did tummy time (not for lack of trying!) she doesn't pull herself to sitting, she walks holding on to people, and can stand holding on to something by herself for a minute. I've been reassured by many of our friends that their children skipped crawling and went to walking and I know this will probably be the case. However my back and knees are killing me from walking her, and she gets frustrated because she can't figure out how to move on her own. I am so happy that I am over m/s because there is no way I would have been able to keep up with her feeling as awful as I did!
Nervous about how tonight will go sleepwise with the time change.
PG news - Can't get over how much more relaxing this time around is. Got the crib and ordered the bedding. We are painting (when I say we I mean DH :) ) DD's room and the new baby's room over his April break. I think DD will have a Lavender color that I pulled out from her bedding and new baby will be a sage green. Since I'm not as worried about L&D I can concentrate on getting things prepared for baby and after. If anyone has any good reciepes for meals that can be frozen ahead of time feel free to share!

Hub, Before Collin was cruising on the furniture he would make me walk him around and it was tough on the back. I can't imagine doing it pg! Could you get DD a push behind walker? I know that radio flyer makes a wagon with a push bar that is weighted so it won't tip on the little one. We have one, but it's a bit light weight.
I'm so glad to hear that pg #2 is more relaxed. We are TTC now, and I've been nervous about how I'll handle it.
I'm not much of a cook. More of a baker. I'm sure some one in here will have some advice.

Well, my cupcake has an ear infection. he loves the amoxicillin. the smell take me backt o childhood. i'm freaked out b/c the ped said she heard a heart murmur. we were just there two weeks ago for WBV and she said she didn't hear it at that time. we are going to get checked again after he finnishes the meds for the ear infection. if its still there we will be referred to a cardiologist. When i heard her say that i felt like i was kicked in the stomach. i hope everythings fine but i am freaking out. trying not to..trying to keep it together. DH doesn't seem too worried. Julie,
Wow...congrats on the steps!! Collin is such a big boy!
Hub,
When I think freezeable dinners, I think baked ziti. In fact, I've got some in the freezer right now. Very easy, and keeps well, too.
Mrs. Chappy,
Oh hon, I'm so sorry for the scare. Hopefully that's all it is, too. Just a scare. The good thing is that they are just now hearing it. I would think if it were a true murmur it would have been heard by now. Hang in there. Hopefully it's just from the ear infection. Even so, you and Ben are in my prayers!
WBV
We haven't had ours yet. We go Friday. DD was sick for a couple of her WBV's, so they ended up postponing them. It's gotten us so far behind. Here it is and she'll almost be 10 months. LOL!

Just a quick drive by post...
WBV
They scheduled ours for May 2nd...he'll be over 10 months by then. I think it was an oversight (early April would have been more right). I'm thinking I might take the opportunity to switch peds to one that is closer to us but I haven't made that call yet.
I did go and weigh Brady last Friday though...he's 16 lbs 7 oz (he was 15 lbs 1 oz/12% at his 6 mos WBV). Looking at the charts it looks like he's down to about the 5th percentile now. Not looking forward to comments the ped makes about that but I just spend some time over at kellymom looking at the growth charts she's got and reminding myself that he is healthy and developing normally.
Off to go check out that freezable dinners thread...I've got a friend who had her baby a week ago so I'd like to bring her some meals.

Hedge,
I think it’s more important that the baby stay on a steady growth curve than stay within certain percentiles. Every baby is different and grows at a different rate. So long as he is healthy and is continuing to grow at a steady rate, I wouldn’t worry about it.
Daylight Savings Time
Ugh…It has totally screwed with Caroline’s schedule. She hasn’t been going to bed until 10:00 (an hour past her usual bed time) and it’s killing me!! Is anyone else having problems with their dc’s? if so, how are you remedying it?

ITA!! Tornados AHHHH! Snakes! double ACK!
We were under a watch, too!
MrsChappy: What a scary thing to be dealing with. I'm sure it will be just fine. Do some research (not too much, though, you'll go crazy) and hopefully, it will help you feel more confident.
Hub: Do you have a "Let's Dish" near you? www.letsdish.com You can go in and make several meals that are perfect for freezing and it actually works out to be just as cheap as going to the grocery store. I havn't done it, but I know several people who have and say the food is great!
Hedge: Sorry you're ped is going to give you crap about Brady's weight. If he is developing fine there shouldn't be any concern. Babies/children come in all shapes and sizes!
Daylight Savings Time: It has affected us a bit, but I am really trying to stick to our normal schedule. We have been putting Collin to bed about a half an hour later, just b/c it is so light out. We put him in his crib even if he does not go right to sleep, so he knows that it is bedtime and not playtime anymore. It seems to be working. As for the mornings...it works out b/c he was getting up at 6am and now 6am is 7am, so I kind of get an extra hour there! LOL!

See, that’s part of our problem. Sunday was fine since we could all wake up at our leisure. But during the week, we all have to get up and go to work/dc. So, she’s really been losing an hour of sleep. I thought for sure yesterday she’d be pooped and go to bed at her normal bedtime, but no such luck. Family Wedding ~ We had a family wedding to go to on Saturday afternoon. DD was excellent of course. She did wonderfully during the ceremony. We took her for part of the reception. She loved the music but we left once it started since it was a little too loud for her. We went back after we dropped her off at my mom's. Everyone thought she was so cute in her little yellow dress and matching hat. Everyone kept saying that she was a little ray of sunshine in that outfit.
Julie ~ Yay on the steps!
hub ~ Thanks. Guess I'll find out tomorrow about the lab results and x-rays. Glad to hear that this pregnancy is more relaxed. Also glad to hear that the morning sickness is over. That's one of the things I'm not looking forward to the next time. I'm worried about if it's bad how I'm going to take care of myself, DD, the animals, the house, and everything else while I'm in the bathroom 24/7. I can only hope that it won't be that bad again or else we are going to need someone here while DH is at work.
Recipes ~ I'll look around and see what ones I can find that can be frozen. I have a ton of casserole recipes just not sure if they can be frozen ahead of time or not.
Mrs.Chappy ~ Sorry to hear about the ear infection. Hope the heart murmur turns out to be nothing.
Tornadoes ~ I HATE tornadoes. Ever since I experienced one first hand six years ago this month (the anniversary is two days after our wedding anniversary) I have been so afraid of them. I will never live in a house that doesn't have a basement so that we can take cover there if we need to. The devastation after seeing the destruction is just overwhelming. Seeing things that you saw all of your life no longer there isn't suppose to happen. I'll never forget my feelings that night and the feelings I get each time I hear about a watch or warning now.
We had a warning one night while we were in the hospital following DD's birth. Talk about scary. Trying to calm down a screaming baby while recovering from childbirth isn't very fun. DD wouldn't stop screaming and I was so thankful when DH finally arrived (he had left to go play pool and I had told my mom to go home. She called in a little while to tell me about the watch. I started watching a video the nurses wanted me to watch. I thought I heard the tornado sirens going off but wasn't quite sure since the windows were closed. Just about the same time one of the nurses came in and said we needed to go out in the hallway to take cover because of a tornado warning. Just what I wanted to do.).
We now have important papers and copies of all of our pictures on CDs in the safe downstairs. That way I don't have to keep running around gathering up those items and taking cover downstairs. I get worried for the animals outside but if things were bad enough we'd go and bring the dogs inside. The horses would get put up in the barn (too large to come inside the house).
Liz ~ Now while in the world did you have to bring up snakes! I can't stand them. As I have always said, the only good one is a dead one. ;)
Birthday Themes ~ Well, I thought that I had DD's birthday theme all picked out but then I thought about doing something else. So now I've got Winnie the Pooh, Princess, or a 4th of July ideas for themes. The food is going to be cookout with cole slaw, baked beans, potatoe salad, pasta salad, chips, etc. I thought that 4th of July theme would be appropriate because her b-day is close to the 4th, DH being the military, etc. But we refer to her as our little princess so that theme seems to fit as well.
Need to get it figured out since I need to start on invites, decorations, and plates/napkins, etc. Need to think of what types of balloon weights to use since we will probably be going with those as decorations.
Doctor ~ I have to go tomorrow to find out the results of my lab work and x-rays I had done last week. The spot on my shoulder is still bothering me (and extremely bad today). It's even bothering me to type. I figured that something has shown up since the nurse called today and wanted me to make an appointment. They won't call if everything is fine with the lab/scan/x-rays. So now I'm trying not to stress about something being wrong but it's hard not to.

Meri - Glad to hear the wedding went so well! Your DD sounds like she was quite the hit of the party. I love the little Easter / pastel dresses. So cute. I second someone else's vote for the patriotic theme. I think that would go great with the cook-out food menu. You could always have DD wear a princess birthday hat.
Julie ~ Yay for Collin on the steps!
Mrs.Chappy ~ Lots of babies have mumurs that are totally benign little flow murmurs. Sometimes, the cardiologist will order an Echo (ultrasound) of the heart to assess the valves, but a lot of time, s/he can diagnose a benign murmur just by listening to the murmur characteristics. Hope that is Ben's case and sorry that you have to worry.
Liz ~ Even a dead snake isn't good in my book. We're still struggling with the time change. Maybe me more so than DD.
Advice: I'm trying to decide whether to buy DD a bathing suit for Vegas next week or just go with a swim diaper and onesie. We'll be going to the beach at 12 mos, but I don't know if the same bathing suit would fit. I just don't know proper etiquette for the kiddie pool...

Hmmm, am I the only one who doesn't mind snakes (or lizards or spiders for that matter)? The benefits of being raised by a tree hugging science teacher.
Hey Meri, I like the idea of a July 4 theme as well. It doesn't have to be over the top, just some red, white and blue and then plunk a tiara on Sarah's head to bring in the princess part. Gymboree has a cute one that says "Birthday Girl" with ribbons and feathers on it. DH almost bought it last week. Ooo, just found a picture:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140010305?$126x160$
Hmmm, we might still get it.
We are going to do a ballerina theme for Alexa's party. I designed the invites with a pair of ballet shoes at the top and will tie some ribbon on for the laces and bows. I still have loads of pink ribbon left from Alexa's Christening favors so it's a cute touch but also a way to use up what I have. Yikes, I need to get the invites out soon. We already received an invite to a 2nd year birthday party being held the week before Alexa's. I'll also have pink balloons and paperware and Angelina Ballerina books as the favors since I got a bunch of hardcovers from American Girl for $1 each from a link that someone posted in the first birthday party ideas thread.
I've got the menu all set, I confirmed the face painter, scheduled the day before off from work and am getting very excited. I love having fun get togethers and I find it relaxing to plan the events. I'm a nut job!
Hey tgr, hope your DD is feeling better.

We are thinking either barnyard or Seasme Street-not sure yet
Well Aiden is trying to pull up and on his knees rocking. I have a feeling army crawl will be full out crawl soon! Have to baby proof!

Liz: Maybe you could try putting Caroline down 15 mintues earlier each night until you get back to your regular schedule? I hope she gets back in a grove soon. I'm suffering more from the change than Collin.
Meri: wow, sounds like the wedding went really well. How fun. That's scary about the tornado warning while in the hospital.
Maggie: I'd probably buy a bathing suit just b/c they are so darned cute! Maybe buy one a size up. It may a be a bit big on Ava, but it will fit throughout the summer.
Naamah: Poor shylah! I hope she is feeling better.
Sophia: You are making me feel so behind on the birthday planning! LOL! I haven't even begun to look at invites...I guess I should get on that sooner rather than later. :o
First Birthday: I'm 99% sure we are going to do a luau themed BBQ. I need to get on oriental trader and order some stuff. I just finished taking Wilton Cake decorating course 1, so I am going to attempt to make a fun cake for the group and cute "smash" cake for Collin. I have ideas in my head, I just haven't put them on paper, yet. I think we'll have virgin daquiris and pina coladas for the kids and (spiked if they prefer) for the adults.

Meri,
Good luck at the Dr.'s appointment today. Hopefully there's something simple and painless they can do to fix it. I hope everything goes well. The party sounds really cute. I was just eyeballing that tiara that Sophia posted yesterday. It's even cuter in person!
Maggie,
I'm struggling with the same problem. We are going to the beach Memorial Day weekend, plus we have a neighborhood pool that we'll be going to a lot this summer (including her birthday). I was so close to buying a suit yesterday at Gymbo, but was mostly thinking of the beach and decided against it. I figured I'd just do a swim diaper because of the sand and all. But now I'm thinking about skin protection. Old Navy has these cute (well, not as cute as some of the suits I've seen, but practical) swimshirts and bottoms:
I may end up going that route.
Naamah,
Hope Shylah is feeling better!
Sophia,
The ballerina theme sounds so cute!! Sounds like you are going all out. I can't wait to see pics!
Ally,
Isn't the rock the cutest? I love it when Caroline does that. You're right, Caroline was crawling within a few weeks of learning to rock. Better get on it!
Julie,
Last night was much better. She had an earlier nap and we kept her awake by keeping her busy. She ended up going to sleep around 8:15 and slept through the night. Hopefully, tonight will be just as good.
First Birthday
I'm thinking a green & pink polka-dotted pool party. I got her a cute green romper with white polka dots from CP and I'm got her invites already. We'll have the party at our neighborhood clubhouse which has and inground pool & baby pool. I found really cute favors at Oriental Trading: little beach sets (pail, shovel, rake, squirting fish, and sunglasses) for super-cheap.

Maggie ~ Thanks. She was the hit at the wedding and the reception. I only wish that DH could have been there for the wedding. I think that I'd just go up a size with the bathing suit. Or go with one like Liz posted.
Sophia ~ I don't care for spiders either. I got bit by a brown recluse about 3 years ago and had quite a time getting over that. I have a nice scar on my lower leg from the bit. I haven't cared for them since, especially a brown recluse. I don't mind a granddaddy long legs though. We had several chameloens while I was growing up. I love that princess tiara! I love the ballerina theme. I'll probably do that when Sarah is older.
Naamah ~ Hope Shylah is feeling better soon.
Ally ~ DD started army crawling first and then about a week later came hands and knees crawling. I love the barnyard theme. My DH would love that. There is a really neat barnyard/farm yard cake in the first birthday thread (it's a few pages back).
Julie ~ Yes, we all had a very nice time. We all know the band really well that played at the reception (DH and his brothers grew up with one of the members and knows another member). They have played at three of the weddings our families have had. Yes, the tornado warning was not especially fun while in the hospital.
Liz ~ Thanks. I'm trying to not worry too much and keep my mind on other things. That suit from Old Navy is cute. I know that I used to burn so easily when I was little. I only hope that DD doesn't do the same but fear she will.
Everyone ~ Thanks for all the input regarding the theme of the party. The more I think about the more I like the red, white, and blue theme even though I had thought of her wearing one of her cute pink dress for her party. Of course if we end up having two parties I guess one could be a princess theme and the other a red, white, and blue theme. But that seems too much work.

Greetings from sunny Orlando! :D
I decided to pop in during vacation and see whats up during Thomas' nap. Sooo...
Bathing Suit Etiquette
Seems like all the babies here have swim diapers on under bathing suits. Mind you, I see a naked baby each time one of them needs to go from swimmie to regular diaper poolside ;) so nudity isn't a no-no, but I havent seen anyone put a swimme-diaper-only-clad baby in the pool so far this week.
Besides, they are SO DARN CUTE in bathing suits! lol
Sunblock
We are having good luck with Coppertone Sun Babies and the other one in a pink bottle. No eye stinging, stays on in water, smells nice and no irritation on my super-sensitive son.
Daylight Savings
I am leaving him on his regular schedule (which is now 10-12 nap, 4-6 nap, 9pm bedtime) since were on vacation and next week we'll be in Chicago so since its an hour behind there its back to the 'regular' time.
Once we are done travelling, I'll move him in 15 minute incrememnts back to the 9-11, 3-5 naps and 8pm bedtime. I just dont feel like messing with his internal clock while were travelling. Itll be easier at home.
Tornados
My NUMBER ONE FEAR. I got ill just reading your posts about "oh we just go downstairs and wait"! I could -->never<-- live in an area that gets lots of tornados. I would have a heart attack at the first siren...You are some brave chickies!!
Mrs Chappy
Sorry theres more to worry about!

The mattress is all the way down and has been for some time now. He is just tall and apparently takes after his rock-climbing mom.

Bathing suit etiquette: Huh. Just call me Ghetto Mom. I let Asher go on the beach and in the pool in just a swim diaper. And once my parents let him play in the sand in just a regular diaper.
We actually have a pair of trunks for him, but my ILs bought size 12-18, and they're so huge they come down to his ankles.

Thanks for the get well wishes!
Shylah's fever broke last night, so I really think we are on our way to recovery! I took her to the dr yesterday, and she thought that we were dealing with both teething and a virus. :( Today, she has still been really fussy, but I imagine it's just the teething at this point.
LIZ~Cute swim shirt/bottoms you posted. May have to look into that option with DD's fair skin!
Sunblock~I picked up some Banana Boat Tearless SPF 50+. We've only used it once and turns out the sun went behind the clouds before we could get outside!
Kim~There is a woman near where I live who is deathly afraid of tornados (she used to try and run away from them, which is a HUGE no-no). When her and DH built their new house, she demanded that hurricane straps be used in conjunction with their thick concrete walls. We we had major tornados back in 2004, their entire house got blown away, but the whole family was safe in the basement and the main story floor still in tact due to those straps! :) Seriously though, tornados just become a part of life here in KS. You have your evacuation plan in place, just like with a fire, and go when the time comes.

Cute pics Dreshny!
First B-day We are going to have a Zoo theme, since we are having his party at the zoo. My DH doesn't want little kids running around our new house getting it dirty! I am going to make the cakes since I used to be a cake decorator. I am going to make a big one for everyone and then a little one for Dougie. I am going to try and find or make frosting that has less sugar for him!!
Thesis is due tomorrow!! I am almost done!! Just putting the finising touches on it. Making sure the appendices are right and adding a few references.
Mini Vacation was nice. But my sister was a pain. Then my nephew got super sick so we had to leave a few hours early! :( If was funny, because yesterday Goonies was on TV and I have to watch it to see where we had just been. I don't know why I watched it on TV though, I have it on DVD!

Liz: That bathing suit is so cute! I have similar item (for boys obviously) that I got at Target at the end of last season. Can't wait for Collin to wear it. How's Caroline sleep pattern going?
Meri: Have you gotten your test results? I like the patriotic bday theme. There's a lot you can do with it.
Naamah: I just bought banana boat sunblock, too. We haven't tried it yet, though.
Rosanne: Great pics. Asher's such a sweetie pie.
Kim: I hope you are enjoying your vacation. I need a green with envy smile icon. :)
Ferris: Hooray for the thesis being just about done. I'm sure it will be a huge relief for you. Sorry your sister was annoying on the trip. Hope you had a good time anyway.
Pity Party: I've decided to throw myself a pity party today and you are all invited. Lucky you, I know. I'm just feeling down today. It's probably just PMS. Life is good. Collin is good, DH is good. I just feel like crying for no good reason. It doesn't help that Collin didn't want to nap much today. He's not being fussy, though. I just really, really, really need a break and there isn't one in sight. I feel so guilty for wanting one entire day to myself. :o Okay. I've booed and hooed.

Doctor Update ~ I have to go for a CT scan this next week. The spot showed up on the x-rays. The lab results were okay. My doctor wants to find out what is going on because it's causing me pain, numbness, and is tender and sore in the surrounding muscles/area. I'm wondering what it is because of the words the doctor used (along the lines of looks like we caught it early and so should have several options).
kim ~ You wouldn't have liked it around here last night. We had one tornado warning and several storms roll through. The wind was really bad and it passed just to the north of us.
Roseanne ~ Cute pictures.
Naamah ~ I remember that outbreak in May 2004. We were in Mississippi at the time but I was home the weekend they hit. We had been outside mowing and decided to go inside and see what they were saying about the weather. Just as we got inside we heard the sirens going off. We headed downstairs. I'll never forget looking out the windows and seeing it coming. It went back up in the sky or we would have been hit again. What a nice feeling that was.
Ferris ~ Yay for completing the thesis! I love the zoo theme. I like the idea of using a low sugar frosting. Most of them are too sugary for me and I never eat the icing or if I do it is just a tiny bit. Sorry for your sister being a pain and having to leave early.

Julie~We all deserve a bit of a pity party every now and then! ;)
Meri~Cute pics! :) It was crazy when I pulled up Weather Bug. The live cam over in P-burg was just freaky. It went from sunny to misty to black and back to sunny in the coarse of an hour! Glad you are okay! It sounds like it went right between us! Ugh! Speaking of Weather Bug, it just chirped at me.
I'm trying to get ready for summer over here. I bought a dye/highlighting kit today. Debating on weather or not to get my haircut right now. We'll have to see how finances are. Right now my hair is thick, straight, and blunt cut to shoulder length. The color is a dark brown. The kit I picked up is an auburn with strawberry highlights! :D
Tonight I'm going over to help a friend pack. They are moving and want to be unpacked and ready for a yard sale by the first weekend of May.

Ferris,
Woo Hoo! Your thesis is done today!! I know you're glad to have that weight off of your shoulders. Good luck with it!
Julie,
(((HUGS))) I'm sorry that you are feeling down. Maybe DH could watch Collin for a few hours this weekend so you can get out by yourself? Even the best of us need a break from time to time. Thanks for asking about Caroline. Sleep has been going very well. She actually went in at 8:30 last night! :D
Meri,
Oh hon, I'm so sorry. Hopefully it will turn out to be something not-so-scary. I hate when Dr.'s use lingo like that. It only leaves us fearing the worst. :( I love the pics of Sarah!. She looks so much like your DH in the first one, and so much like you in the second!
Naamah,
Ooooh! Can't wait to see pics of the new 'do. Talk about a change!
Had Caroline's 9 month WBV yesterday. Here are her stats:
Weight- 18 pounds, 1.6 ounces
Length- 28 inches
HC- 44.5 cm
Thankfully, we didn't get any shots.
I went and treated myself (well, some of it was Keith's treat as a V-Day present I'm just getting around to using) to an eyebrow wax and a new hair cut. It's soooo much shorter (just slightly past my shoulders and lots and lots of layers) but I really like it. I'll have to post some pictures.

Teething
Did you notice that your DC’s ate less while they were teething? Caroline was acting fussier than normal this weekend (but still sleeping fine at night). I could figure out for the life of me what could be going on. I finally decided to check her gums and could see 2 teeny tiny little white spots on her lower gum. For the past couple of days, she’s been eating a lot less. Only about a half jar of food at a time, and 4 ounces at a feeding. Could teething be causing her lack of appetite, or could it be something else? I’m afraid she might be coming down with something.

for those who are on the pill. i missed one, then took two the following day. now its like i am having a mini period, i'm on day 15 and i had the leakage!! is this normal? i never had this when i was on regular ortho..now i am on ortho-low. should i call my MD? or just wait till the next cycle, see if i spot, try not ot miss pills and then see.
First b-day. i t hink we are doing a baby einstein theme..either that or the very hungry caterpiller. Ben loves all the Eric Carle books. i'm sure i can be creative given i have 8 weeks to plan

Naamah ~ Thanks. I like spring but could do without the severe storms. How did the highlighting kit turn out? I go later this week to get mine highlighted and trimmed (and perhaps 'put up' or 'done' since it's Easter and our anniversary).
Roseanne ~ Thanks. I posted some pictures of DD in the old thread but not sure if I ever posted any in this thread.
Liz ~ Thanks. Trying not to worry is always the hardest part. DD has always looked exactly like I did in my baby pictures from the day she was born. Yay on the WBV. DD didn't get any shots either though they said we could have done the optional ones if we wanted. However we decided to wait until she was a year old for those. Yay on the new hairstyle. Looking forward to seeing pictures of it.
Teething ~ DD was more fussy.
ally ~ Thank you. Happy 10 months to Aiden!!
Weekend ~ We bought plants and veggies. Got some of the veggies planted but still have some to plant. Didn't get my flowers planted yet (we focused on getting the veggies in since they should have already been planted). Still need to get a few more plants. Trying to decide where to plant the 4 rose bushes that we bought (a white, a dark red, a light pink, and orange/apricoty color).
And DD got an early Easter present yesterday. She got a little bunny. He's black and going to be a big boy. I'll have to post pictures of him later.

Ally - Happy 10 months to Aiden. His birthday twin, my Ava, is having her 10 month birthday today as well! Wow- how are they that old??
Liz - sounds like teething stuff to me. Ava always ate well, but lots of other babies at her DC wouldn't eat when teeth were coming through. These are her first two bottom teeth, right? Horray for Caroline!
Meri - The garden sounds great! The roses sound especially pretty. I can't wait to see the rabbit. Does he have the floppy ears or the more stand-up kind?
Roseanne - Wow, Asher is starting to look like a little guy vs. a baby. And so much like your DH. Your trip looks like a lot of fun even if the weather was cooler.
Julie - Hugs!!! I totally sympathize. Some days are just bummers. Hopefully, you had some time for yourself this weekend and a chance to get out of the house. I find both of those make me feel better. You could always have DH watch Collin and get an hour for mani/pedi. A little treat for yourself !
Kim - Love the Easter photos of Thomas. What beautiful blue eyes!! Such a flirt, no wonder he's already taken! Your vacation sounds wonderful!
Naamah - Can't wait to see the new 'do. I'm working up my courage for a shorter spring cut myself.
Birthday themes - I looked at the Baby Einstein theme and Sesame Street, both great. The hungry catepiller is also very cute. Still no definite plans here, but am planning to check out a party store today for more definite ideas.
Weekend - Boy, were we busy. Saturday, the baby and I had a very long, needed morning nap while DH mowed grass and worked outside. It was his turn to clean the hardwood floors and when he couldn't get decent results, he decided to re-wax. Wow, they look great. Then we packed up Baby and went living room furniture shopping - for 7 hrs. Bought a sofa, loveseat, oversized chair, ottoman, and set of new tables. Looked at lamps, rugs and accessories, but ran out of energy. Everything except one coffee table should be arriving later this month. Can't wait to see it all in place. Then on Sunday, we made a monster Wal-Mart run and hit old Navy. Got DD that bathing Liz had suggested (DH covered the extra sun coverage over the cute bikinis) plus some shorts and tops. I found a pair of jeans for myself which is a miracle. While DH and DD napped, I worked on matting and framing my photos of DD for our stairway wall. We had dinner, and I packaged up baby photos to mail our to relatives (only took me a month...). Finally, I set up my new monitor for my computer that should arrive today at DH's office.
Today, I am packing for our Las Vegas trip and running a few errands. The weather is back to being warm there so I'm totally excited. I am so enjoying my vacation already - Ava and I slept in together and watched sitcom re-runs on TV this morning. What's Charmed and Dawson's Creek for?

Mrs. Chappy,
Sorry, can’t really help you with the Pill issue. It’s been about a decade sine I was on it. It sounds like breakthrough bleeding to me though. I would keep taking my Pill as normal and not start a new pack. Hope the EI is all gone. I was so relieved when they checked DD’s ears at her WBV Friday and said they looked good. I’m almost conditioned to thinking she always has them.
Meri,
Wow…sounds like you all have a lot of planting to do. I’ve been such a slacker. We haven’t bought anything new this year. In fact, we still have something from last summer we haven’t planted yet!
Maggie,
Congrats on the new furniture! Between the floors and the new furniture, it’s going to look like a whole new place! Yes, if these in fact are two teeth sprouting up, they’ll be her first. When do you leave for Vegas? What am I going to do without my journal buddy? How do you like the swim shirt? I was planning to go to ON at lunch at check it out in person. If I like it as much as I do online, I was planning on getting one for her, and a cute bikini for short trips to the pool. However, CP sold out of the cute bikini I was eyeballin’. :(

MrsChappy: I agree that it sounds like breakthrough bleeding. Just keep taking your pill. If you are on a lower dose than you used to be, then missing one can cause some spotting. If you have spotting with it every month, you made need something stronger. Good luck at the DR. I hope Ben is feeling better.
Liz: Collin didn't eat as well or at least fussed while he ate, when he was teething. Caroline will feel so much better once they break the surface. ;) Congrats on the new cut! Can't wait to see pics. I really need to get mine highlighted. :o
Meri: You have a lot of gardening to do! I wish I had a green thumb. I kill just about everything I try to grow.
Maggie: Cute Suit! Wow, you were busy this weekend! I would so love to get new furniture. Ours is starting to get a little ratty. I guess I could invest in some slip covers. hehe. Have fun in Vegas!
Well, I didn't really get a break this weekend. We visited my parents on Sat. and Sun DH had to work all morning, so it was me and Collin. I think he is giving up his morning nap which is going to make me go insane! What am I suppose to do with him??? I'm sure we'll figure something out, but man I am tired. He finally went down a few minutes ago.

LIZ~Can't wait to see pics of the new 'do. I'll show you mine if you show me yours! LOL! ;) No, our weekend plans got switched up, so I didn't get my hair colored. I have it on the plan for tonight though! Speaking of coupons, I just sent you a bunch! You do still use Gerber brand, right?
Ally~Happy 10 months to Aiden!! :D
Meri~I wasn't able to get to the coloring/highlighting this weekend due to a change in plans. Hopefully, I am able to get it done tonight though! Can you come over and help with my place? ;) I have such a brown thumb, I could even kill a fake plant!
Kelsey~Not sure if I'm going to get it cut now. I'm going to see if the coloring is enought of a change. I would really like to grow it out, but I'm just so impatient in this in between stage! Cute suit!
Not a whole lot going on here. DD just woke up from her nap, and I'm just waiting on clothes to finish drying. Ah! Such an exciting life! :p

So, Naamah, Did you get your hair done? We want pics! :p
Nothing too exciting going on here. Collin has decided to change up his nap schedule. I shouldn't be surprised. He use to go down about 2 hours after he woke up and now he won't go down until 3-4 hours from wake up time. Ahhh the joy. This means I don't get a shower until almost noon now. Fun, fun. I guess I can just put him in his crib while I shower...I usually do anyway, but he's usually more content right after his nap.
Collin takes a few steps everyday now. I don't think he'll actually be walking for a few weeks, but he is really trying. It is so cute. He gets all excited, his little hands are flailing in the air, he starts panting like a dog and then off he goes! LOL!:D

Julie,
Caroline has days where she is down to one nap. Mostly it happens at dc though where she is stimulated and has trouble sleeping. She’d so much rather be up playing! When she does it, she normally drops her afternoon nap. Sucks because she is so exhausted later when I pick her up.
Naamah,
Love the new ‘do! I agree with Julie…it looks so shiny and healthy! The videos are too cute! You really have to teach me how to post them. Do you use a digital camera or video camcorder?
“New” pictures of Caroline! These were actually taken last month (day after St. Pat’s, I think) when she pulled to a standing position for the second time. I tried to get a pic of the first time, but the batteries in the camera were dead. :(

Were there ANY not completely adorable kids born last may/june? :D
Shylah is soooo funny with her peek a boo!
Caroline is sooo cute with her chubbo legs!
tgr I dig the new color! I sometimes want to change mine, but I'm not quite brave enough...and am too darn lazy for salon upkeep. ;)

Look at all the cutie patootie babies!
Naamah, Shylah is so funny.
Liz, I am always shocked by Caroline's eyes! They are so pretty.
Kim, I saw the pics of Thomas in the Easter basket over in the other thread...so cute.
Walking: Collin is walking. Last weekend he was taking a few steps between DH and I, last night he was kind of braving it and taking more steps that were no where near us and today he has been toddling around the living room! He is still a bit wobbly, but he will walk across the room and stop to pick something up and keep going! I'm so shocked. He'll be 10 months old tomorrow. My big boy.:( It's so cute...when he gets excited he tries to go faster and just ends up flopping on to all fours.

jmvan74 Congrats on the walking! DS isn't quiet brave enough yet and he's almost 11 months!
KimYeah on DS second tooth! :)
Cute babies I have to agree with everyone else in saying we have a good looking bunch in this thread.
stress So I thought I was done stressing over my paper, but now that's it's turned in, I am stressing over if I passed or not! I am such a worry wort!
Sick Yesterday I spent 2 hours at the doctor office! Dougie had been running a 103 fever for 2 days, he vomited a few times and was just not himself. So I took him in, he didn't have an ear infection and he sounded and looked good everywhere else so they ordered x-rays! We waited in the office for over an hour for the x-rays. I was kinda mad that they made me sit in the office for that long with a sick baby. It was so sad to see him get the x-rays and have that lead protector on his legs. I had to wear one and try and hold him still. That didn't happend, but they said he looked okay and that the radiologist would call if anything looked bad to him. Dougie is feeling alot better today, but he refused formula (My supply has dropped since my last AF, and he's been wanting to eat more. So he gets about 6 oz of formula a day). So when I got home today all he wanted to do was nurse all afternoon!
He only weighed 18 pounds! My doc doesn't seemed worried, but I am a little. Dougie doesn't really like food very much. He'll eat a little of it, but only about 3-4 oz a day total. It also has me thinking that we won't be able to turn his carseat around at 1 year. He's only gained 7 oz in the last 1 1/2, and if he gains the same amount in the next 1 1/2 he'll still be less than 19 pounds!:(
Our digital camera finally broke after 4800 pics taken! We decide not to buy a new one till christmas because we have a video camera that takes pics and we have been taking our 35MM film to costco and getting them put on CD for like 3 dollars. So we can't justify spending the cash. Anyways some new pics of Douglas from last month.

I love this one...DH vacuuming Dougie after dinner. My DH is a neat freak and doesn't like messy things. He's going to have to learn to deal with it, especially since Dougie has started throwing/playing with his food.

LMOA at Dougie being vacuumed! :D
Don't worry about the weight, really. He's growing and healthy...and its actually safer to keep him facing back as long as we can. (There was a link somewhere about this...but of course I dont have it onhand) The soonest to turn them around is 20lbs and one years, its not a have-to-turn around. :)
Besides...less weight for you to be lugging around. Woo Hoo for you! ;)

Kim, congrats on Thomas' new tooth, especially since there was very little sleep disturbance before it came in.
Ferris, Love the pics of Dougie. Try not to worry about his weight. It looks to me like he is doing just fine. :) Sorry about him being sick, though. Our digital camera broke, too. Well, I broke it...I dropped it. Ooops.
SOS! Help me please. I am at my wits end. My sweet, lovable baby has turned in to an absolute monster this week. :( He won't nap. He will only take one nap and it last about an hour to an hour and a half. He is tired, though. Cranky and fussing. Plus, he has started biting me (not while nursing, whew). The only thing I can think of is more teeth. He already has 4 and this has been the worst. No fever, no outward sign of something wrong. I almost feel like he is starting to manipulate me. When I put him in his crib for a nap..he will scream bloody murder (I've even let him CIO for an hour with no luck.) When I pick him up, he's all smiles. If I put him down to play he screams and crawls all over me. AHHHHHH!!! I am soooooooo exhausted. In addition to his daytime antics, he woke up twice last night. He has been STTN for weeks.

Kim,
LOL! I know, her legs trip me out. Like a little roly poly. Congrats on the 2nd tooth. Go Thomas!
Julie,
Awww….thanks! Sounds like teething to me, too. Have you tried Hyland’s Teething Tablets? They made Caroline a lot more comfortable. Wow, I can’t believe Collin is walking already. God Bless you, my child. LOL!
Ferris,
Dougie is such a cutie pie! I love his two little teeth. So cute! Don’t worry about the weight. 25% is not bad at all! I plan on keeping Caroline rear-facing as long as she will tolerate it, or when she’s 33 pounds. Whichever comes first. Poor Dougie…I hope he feels better soon!

Julie~Thanks! Congrats on the walking! Could it be seperation anxiety? Shylah will do the same thing with her G-gma while I'm at work. DD does not want G-gma leaving her alone at all!
LIZ~Thanks! Caroline is such a pretty baby! I can't believe how fast all these kids are growing up! I PM'ed you about how to do the videos.
Kim~Thanks! I did it myself, and if you pick a shade very close to your own color, there is less upkeep. Congrats on tooth #2!
Ferris~Doug is so adorable! LOL at him getting vacuumed! ITA with the others on the weight issue. Don't worry about it, especially if he hasn't been feeling well recently.
So, we had a scare this morning. As I was checking my email, DD played on the floor. I heard her coughing really hard, so I picked her up and realized she had swallowed something. I layed her across my lap with her head angled down and started to pat her back hard. She spit up really thick saliva everywhere, but nothing else. I sat her up and she started coughing really bad again and crying. I flipped her back over and the object loosened. I fished it out of her mouth. I was shocked to see that she had somehow gotten a hold of a staple. After the incident, I rocked her to calm her down (she was still crying), and she ended up falling asleep.

Hi all. I've been fighting a stomach bug for the past few days and then this morning woke up with a scratchy throat and all the early signs of a cold. Ugh! I'm too miserable for shout outs but I'm enjoying reading along and loving all the pictures. More, more I say!
Happy Easter and Passover to everyone!

OMG, Naamah! How scary. Ugh...this is one of my biggest fears. That's why I'm so terrified of the dog bowl. yes, because it is gross. But moreso because it's like they designed them to be choking hazards. We've both taken infant CPR and first aid, but I'm so scared that I won't know what to do in an emergency. I'm so glad that Shylah is okay. Poor little thing. She must have been so scared. :( Not to mention YOU!
Sophia,
I was wondering where you've been. We've missed you around here. Hope you feel better soon!

sophiapb Hi!
tgr Scary about the staple! In the past week DD has eaten fake grass that was in our ficus tree and a cash register receipt and thrown up both times-I felt like such a great mom :( OH, I LOVE the videos! Too cute. How did you upload them?
jmvan Hi. Has your DS been calling my DD? Because she's doing everything you described PLUS she's biting me while nursing!! Addie just got 2 new teeth 2 or 3 weeks ago but I suspect (and thought I saw) a new one breaking through this morning. Little stinker won't let me look though!
Hi Kim !

I can only guess teething or growth spurt/milestone alert that makes them just want mommy for comfort, since they just don't quite feel right. It drives me nuts when Thomas does this, but at least it's most likely a short phase!
My advice: dump him with DH and have wine with girlfriends. ;)

Naamah ~ I like the new color. How scary about the staple. How do you upload the video?
Liz ~ Such adorable pictures of little Caroline. We both know CPR as well. I'm worried that if the need did arise if I'd be able to have enough know-how to be able to do it...especially if it was DD that was needing it. That's one of my biggest fears as well.
Julie ~ Congrats on the walking!! I thought that my little one would probably be the first to walk of the June babies. We are still on the verge here. Sounds like it might be teething. DD has started biting me (and DH and anyone else holding her at the moment). We know that she has the top two teeth trying to come through so I think that has something to do with it. Sometimes DD just simply doesn't want to go to sleep even though she's exhausted. She will cry, fuss, and do anything to not go to sleep. When that happens we either rock, put in a DVD in hopes that she'll watch it (mostly a Pooh or other educational one), or put her in her swing. DD will also sometimes scream if we put her down in the crib. I go in and she's all smiles when she sees me and I pick her up. We might try the teething tablets to see if they help DD.
Kim ~ Congrats on the second tooth!
Ferris ~ When do you find out about the thesis? Sorry about the illness. Hope he's feeling better soon. Adorable pictures as well. Don't try to stress about the weight either. I know it's hard not to though (we are moms after all, our job is to worry). Like kim said, he's growing and he's healthy. And she's correct about not turning them around in the car seat until they are at least 20 lbs and a year old. Although I've seen some car seats say they can be rear facing until they are 35 lbs. I looked around at some size charts and one said that 35 lbs is at 4T. I really not looking forward to having DD be rear facing for that long. At that rate she'll still be rear facing when the next baby could be 2. My DD is a little over 18 lbs as well. They doc told us that she is fine and not to worry about her weight.
sophia ~ Hope you are feeling better soon.
Nat ~ Welcome! I'll get your stats on the first page as soon as I can. Adorabe pictures of Addie! Enjoy your weekend. Hope you were able to get the car packed before she woke up.

We got the Easter pictures earlier this week and we are really happy with them. I'll have to post them for a little while. Well, I totally forgot yesterday being Tigger (our kitty) and Jax's (my mom's kitty) birthdays. And it was also our little colt's birthday as well. Tigger and Jax were 2 and Lucky was 1.
DH took tomorrow and Monday off from work to get some things done around the house. Now we need to find out if SIL can watch DD while we get things done. Also have thought about having a cookout on Saturday for family. Also need to find out if there are any Easter egg hunts that DD can be in on Saturday.

jmvanI second Kim's suggestion to go out with the girls. I did that very thing last week for the first time since DD was born and it was heaven! Addie is SOOOO clingy right now too. I have to sit down and play with her and then sneak off and then I only get about a minute or two before she starts crying. This too shall pass, right?

Instructions for Uploading Videos It's pretty easy to get your videos uplaoded. I use DropShots (http://www.dropshots.com). The accounts are free (unless you want extra features and more storage space). All you have to do is sign up.
It will ask you to download their DropBox. Click yes. This tool is what makes uploading so easy. Once it downloads, you just drag your photo/video files into the box that pops up when you open the program.
I just use my digi cam to take the videos. The nice thing is that I can just pull them to the site directly from my camera! Hope that's clear enough!
LIZ~I know what you mean about the dog food. We have no where else to put ours, so I have a feeling there sill be a major battle of the wills keeping her out of that!
Nat~Welcome officially!! I had seen you around the boards and just assumed you were already here! Addie is growing up so fast! I love the pic of the two of you!
Kim~"custom made eyebrows" LOL!! This just made my day!
Meri~Thanks! Also need to find out if there are any Easter egg hunts that DD can be in on Saturday. We are having a city one on Saturday at 10am. It only last about a minute, so you'll want to be there about 9:45. Not sure if this will interfere with cookout plans, but it's an option!
This mornings incident absolutely drained me. :( I have litereally laid around all day just watching her. Well, gotta go feed her since she's crying at me!

Liz, I have not tried the teething tablets...I may have to look in to that. I saw another tooth poking through....so I think that is certainly part of the chaos.
Naamah: I was thinking it could be separation anxiety, too. Too scary about Shylah and the staple! Ugg. Thank goodness you got it out. I have a fear that something similiar to Collin when he is down in the office with DH.
Sophia, I hope you feel better soon. Maybe it's m/s and not a stomach bug...hmmmm....:D
Good to see you Natalie! Great pics of Addie. I think she looks a lot like you, too. This clinginess has got to go. It's so exhausting. I really do need a night out with friends.
I can only guess teething or growth spurt/milestone alert that makes them just want mommy for comfort, since they just don't quite feel right. It drives me nuts when Thomas does this, but at least it's most likely a short phase!
My advice: dump him with DH and have wine with girlfriends.
I think you hit the nail on the head, Kim. I think it is a combination of all of these things. Ack.
Meri: I can't believe DS is walking. Although, I know I walked at 9 months, so I'm not completely surprised. He takes after me in a lot of not so good ways....temper, temper! Can't wait to see Sarah's pics.
************************************************** ************************************************** **
Well, I noticed that Collin was getting his 5th tooth, which means the 6th is probably not far behind b/c he's gotten them in 2's up to this point. Plus, I think he has been in a growth spurt b/c I noticed that most of his pj's are barely fitting him now. Plus, the new milestone of walking. I'm sure separation anxiety and the need for comfort are all combined in the little cranky package that is my son. :p
ETA: Note to self...by a bottle of wine while out and about tomorrow. You deserve it!

Dropshot I use dropshots all the time and it is great!! My IL's and friends love it as well. It is very easy to use.
Tgr How scary!!
Natalie Welcome back. My DS has gotten less clingy the last few weeks. Up until then I couldn't even move a foot away from him without him crying.
Weird Night DS was extra tired tonight, so I put him to bed early. He was crying really hard after I put him to bed so I checked on him and he had poop. It's weird because he usually doesn't poop at bed time. And now he's still crying in his crib. He usually doesn't do this...:( I might have to take him out in a few and try and get him to sleep the old way tonight.
Liz I am not sure when I find out about my grade. He told me that it doesn't take them very long to read and grade them. But I am not sure what they means. I hope its soon, because I am actually stressing more about the grade than writing the paper
