On the track, Nathan and Lucas are challenged to a race by the beautiful Daytona (Schuler Fisk) and her smart aleck brother Garrett (guest star Stuart Lafferty), but things go horribly wrong when Nathan loses control of his car and crashes into a wall. Meanwhile, Deb's (Barbara Alyn Woods) addiction to pain pills intensifies and Dan (Paul Johansson) exposes Andy's (guest star Kieran Hutchinson) relationship with Karen (Moira Kelly) to his class.

I REALLY hope they don't marry Peyton off right out of high school. Rush much? She and Jake should try to actually spend some time together as a couple without any drama before getting hitched! I'd rather see Peyton together with Jake & his daughter, but with her taking on Tric full time or getting more into the music or entertainment business. Much more appropriate for her, I think! Oh well....wish they'd just tell us if the silly show will be around next year or not! :rolleyes: :)

Was there anything wrong with anyone else's WB channel tonight? My TIVO recorded OTH with a black screen. I can hear everything, but I can't see anything. Is it worth listening to? Anybody out there kind enough to do a recap for me? :(

It was a good episode, but not very eventful. The main thing was a basketball game. Nathan narrated-Lucas wasn't in it at all. This rival of Nathan on another team trashed talked a lot, hit on Haley-Dan actually grabbed him and told him if he ever touched his daughter in law again, he'd make sure he ended his career. Deb & Nathan got a restraining order against Dan so he had to leave the game. He sits in the car and listens to it on the radio. Nathan got fouled by that guy and had to get sticked on his chest, but insisted that he continue playing-so he got stitches and came back out wearing Lucas's jersey. They win. Dan stops N. & H. outside and tells him how proud he is of him, and the man he has become, and he's not talking about bball.

Brooke finds out that "hot uncle cooper"'s girlfriend is redhead(Always forget her name) and she and mouth are going to try to make him find out that she's only 17. Mouth backs out and later tells redhead that it's because he didn't want to interfere if cooper makes her feel the way that she made mouth feel. Ends up that cooper goes to the game to see nathan and finds out she's 17 (Brooke says that deceitfulness always come back to you, or something). Rachel(rememebered her name ;)) goes to cooper's house, saying she's 17 and it's legal. Cooper says he doesn't care and to leave, but she takes off her shirt, grabs him, and starts making out with him.

The whole time Peyton is in savannah with Jake, and he is very distant b/c he doesnt want to get involved if he's going to lose her. So then she proposes that since she's only a couple months away from graduating, she should get her ged and go to savannah to the art school. At the very end she asks him if he wants to get married.


That's all I can remember, others can add what they know lol. Next week looks really good, and I think it must have been your TiVo :p

He did mention Nikki. Nikki's parents ended up taking the two of them to court because they couldn't deal with them any more. Her parents got custody of Jenny for 1 year. Jake gets her 2 days a week. Nikki lives with her parents there in Savannah so she gets to be with Jenny all of the time. Jake has to stay out of trouble ("I can't even get a parking ticket") so he can try and get her back when the year is up. Him & Nikki aren't together but he believes that she is trying to be a good mom and he wants Jenny to know her mother.

A few other things - Lucas and Karen weren't in it. It was mentioned that they were on a road trip trying to figure everything out. Dan seems to be different in regards to Haley after over hearing her tell Nathan that its a shame he can't share his basketball success with his dad - then after this is when he grabbed the kid at the bball game for touching Haley. I wonder if he is going to use her to get back to Nathan somehow??

kcjaime I didn't see the preview right after the show, but I saw one before that, from what I remembered, shows naley getting married, brooke and peyton fighting, and lucas asking brooke if she's pregnant with brooke crying.

You're right - the preview we had seen earlier is the same one that KK812 posted but after the show they showed Nathan & Hailey driving away in a car and it looked like a car/limo went over the side of a bridge (??) and Nathan jumping in and Hailey screaming on the bridge. It also showed someone in the car/limo (?) with the water rising over their face. I think thats what I saw. If anyone else has anything to add please do! I checked thewb.com and they don't have a preview for next week listed yet.

Interesting about Dan. Somehow this show has manipulated me into almost believing that he feels horrible for what he did and that he's some sort of a lost soul. :rolleyes: :eek:

But he KILLED KEITH! Will be interesting to see how they reconcile this, esp. since it is still up in the air as to whether or not this show will be back next year.

Also, they sure are focusing a lot on Rachel. I don't really care much about her character, to be honest.

YES! I kept thinking she didn't look nearly as pretty as usual. I did however love Payton's hair. I thought she looked very pretty.

I think that Rachel was just saying that to Coop to keep him around. I think they are killing off both of them. I think that Hailey is pregnant or maybe she just wants to tell him that she is going to the same school as him? I think Brooke has something else going on - maybe a pregnancy scare or maybe she is going to move back to her parents.

Seeing the recap of last season made it seem like SO long ago! I thought the premiere was just okay. I don't know why but I wasn't as into it, but I will continue to record it and watch it.

The Dan story line is so tired. I know you have to have an evil person in the show, be he is just so annoying. Anyone else think his hair looked like a wig? I thought he had lost some weight/muscle too.

Lucas just looks like a slimeball to me. I guess my opinions of CMM flow into that though. Every time I see him on screen with Brooke, I just cringe for her.

I am curious about the Peyton storyline though. I hope they write her character well this season. I really like her as an actor.

Can't wait to see what new actors they throw into the mix this year. Peyton's brother?

From the beginning I got a weird vibe from Peyton's "brother". I told my DH that how can she be sure its him? She told everyone on her podcast that she never met him and wanted to. mlfallis - Let's see - Peyton's brother came into the picture and she took him to a bball game and a party afterward. They went on and on how they had things in common - art, etc. He was taking pictures of her the whole time she was cheerleading.

Rachel found out that Brooke is pregnant by snooping around. Mouth overheard their conversation. Mouth also got drunk at the party and was telling everyone that he is tired of being all of the hot girls "friends" and wants more.

Dan is still trying to "be there" for Karen and the baby. Bleh.

Anyone watch last night. We had a friend spend the night last night since her DH was working, and although she knew I had OTH to watch, she wanted to talk, lol, so I didn't get to pay very close attention. Peyton's fake brother will always scare the crap out of me, even in other shows or movies. :p

i finally watched last night's show. I'll try to do a recap...

Let's see:
Nathan finds out he got a full scholarship to Duke. Haley tells him she's pg and he freaks and leaves. He goes to Rachel's. He tells her that Haley is pg and she actually tells him she's sorry for coming on to him and she didn't see Keith. She asks him if Haley wasn't pg would she have a chance...and he quickly replies. No. He goes home and tells Haley he's going to Duke. They argue and she tells him they need to talk about things and she was hoping he would show some excitement about his child. He tells her he's scared and has to go to his press conference. The press conference was being held for Nathan to report where he would be playing ball. He says he plans on playing at Duke, but even better than the scholarship news...he found out his wife was pg and needed to do what was best for his family. He looks in the camera and tells Haley it will okay and he loves her...blah, blah...

Meanwhile:
Lucas sees the hooker at the hospital w/ Peyton's coat on. She's still wearing the wig and is bleeding from the leg (same spot Payton was shot). He gets the jacket and tells Payton he's worried. She ignores him. He goes to the police. Payton gets an IM from "Lucas", but realizes it isn't him. She goes to Derrick's hotel and finds a bunch of disturbing things. Derrick shows up and she tells him she's super busy and he should go home.

Later Lucas gets a call that the police caught Derrick and he needs to go to the station to make a statement. When he gets there, it's not the right guy, it's the real Derrick. Cut to Payton being terrorized by fake Derrick at her house. Lucas shows up and fights him, real derrick shows up and fights w/ fake Derrick. Fake Derrick gets pushed out the window. Lucas holds Payton and Real Derek says, "I guess I'm your brother." The police come and stalker Derrick is long gone.

Oh yeah...Rachel set Brooke up on an internet date. She says her name is Payton and she's 23. She sleeps with "Nick" at Tree Hill High. Then we find out he is a new teacher there!

Can I just say that once again I am annoyed at the writing about Peyton's father? Okay, after her mother died, she was shot at school, and then her other mother died, not to mention the whole Jake thing, you would think that the dad would STAY AT HOME. After last night's episode with the pscyho - I'm just annoyed. I pretty much hate the dad.

Once the "brother" went out the window, I was all - "Go make sure he stays there!" So typical, but I do like the scary theme of the psycho on the loose.

Last night was really good, although the product placement is a little annoying. A good portion of the show focused on Brooke and Peyton being angry with each over the sex tape that came out last week. Haylie and Nathan are on good terms again. It is prom night and Chase dumped Brooke, Rachel got expelled and left town, Mouth got dumped. Lucas' mom is going to the prom with Dan. How it ended....Lucas was supposed to be picking Peyton up for the prom. Peyton was all ready and was standing by the door. The doorbell rang and she opened the door. She said, "Lucas?" The guy turned around and it was Derek. He said, "Hi Peyton." and then punched her in the face. That was how it ended. Very intense!

Nathan is going to school where Whitey and Lucas are coaching. Peyton got an internship at a radio station.. I have no clue about Brooke. I missed a lot this season.

Southerner -- I think it got out to all the scouts that he was point shaving. He got a letter from Duke taking back his scholarship (if memory serves me right).

And....I don't know about anyone else, but I'm thrilled that Soapnet is carrying the series now...I'm catching up and love the fact that I can see 5 episodes a week vs. waiting a week between them. It got out that there was point shaving and for some reason (I forget how), they thought that Lucas did it. So Nathan finally admitted he was the one. Of course Duke then reneged on the scholarship. I think Brooke is going to LA to visit her parents for the summer. They didn't say anything as to where she was going to school I don't think.

I liked it. I thought it was a somewhat unique way to keep the show interesting, and I will keep watching. That said, I had zero expectations b/c I didn't see any previews (I don't watch the CW otherwise) and I only recently learned the show was coming back at all.

In the second episode, Peyton and Lucas had some angst about their failed relationship; Brooke suggested Peyton start her own record label in Tree Hill and offered to finance it; Lucas found a space for Peyton's record label; Brooke decided to relocate her business to Karen's old coffee shop; Lucas was "reinspired" in his writing by Peyton; Lucas and Skilz decided not to accept that problem student on their basketball team and he said ominously "this ain't over!" (ha!); Haley finally yelled at Nathan and told him she would leave him if he didn't get his sh!t together; Nathan decided to stop being an asshole at the end and had a poignant moment w/ his son; etc.

Yes, that's what was bugging me! I think they mentioned that Karen was traveling but they didn't say much else.

They did mention them in the scene where Lucas told J.L. he got another postcard from them, and they talked about how they were traveling and where they have visited. Then they showed them putting the postcard on the map which had a bunch of other postcards on it, which I assume represent the other places they have traveled. And J.L. asked if he would ever see them again, and Lucas said he was sure he would, or something like that. Since they weren't physically on the show at all, I think it would be hard to mention them much more w/o it being weird.
