Our friends throw a yearly Labor Day party. This year the guy turns 40 and they plan to sort of combine it with a birthday party. Gifts are not required but we want to get him a little something.
I want it to be amusing but still useful. His hobby is traveling, they go to Caribbean resorts a lot. They are big Parrotheads too. I don't want to spend more than $30. Alcohol-related gifts are okay but I'm not comfortable with anything too risque.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
