Charting Our Course to the BFPs
http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.
So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!
Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.
Your threadmistress for this thread is Baby Lust!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to email me! (charting_is_knowledge@yahoo.com)
To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread each month as well as after 3 BFPs. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistress would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if I get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.
If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test!
Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb
* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.
* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.
* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.
* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.
* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.
* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.
* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.
* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.
* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.
* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.
* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!
* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!
* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations
This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!
•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"
•SYS, SYL : See ya soon! or See ya later!
•TCOYF: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler; a book and website about charting and fertility.
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!
•TTA: "trying to avoid"
•TTC: "trying to conceive"
•TTFN: "ta-ta for now"
•TTYL, TTYS: "talk to you later" or "talk to you soon"

Missy329 ~ Congratulations!!! Those are some beautiful lines!!
lowcountrywed ~ I'm sorry you aren't sleeping well. Is there something that you really enjoy that relaxes you? Maybe pampering yourself will help? I hope it gets better soon. Hang in there.
Ellidew ~ your temps are looking great!
amurphy ~ Wouldn't that be so cool if tonight is THE night?
Me ~ My temp went back up this morning 2/10. It's got that funny up and down temp thing going on. ;) Don't know what that means so I can only hope. I wish I had more charts to compare to. I had a really vivid, weird dream last night that I was getting an internal exam (at home of all places!!) and the woman dr. told me that it's a good thing I came to her because there was something wrong but she was smiling the whole time and said that it was easily treated and I could get pg. It kind of freaked me out though. :(

lowcountrywed Sorry to hear that you are not sleeping well. I loved charting while we were TTA, but now I am finding it to be a little stressful.
Lizard I am hoping that you get the best anniversary present next month!
CD 23 for me and still no O. This is the latest CD that I have ever Oed, and that was my wedding month. I guess stress really does effect my O. Still hoping that it will happen today or tomorrow. FF is crazy and gave me crosshairs today that I Oed on CD 20. I wish, but there is no way.

missy329, congrats!
jnshanna, weird dream! It's prob. just anxiety making itself known that way. No worries about it!
Nothing going on here. CD15 and after all those false O signs from last weekend, I'm now confident I didn't O. My temp yesterday was back down to 97.2 and today at 97.4 (typical for me pre-O). I'm still spotting, though, off an on, as I have been since Friday. Ugh, I hate that. I think I'm going to call my doctor just to ask if that's something I should be concerned about - if it's something that could cause a problem for us in TTC. DH and I are going to start BDing again every night to make sure we catch the eggie when O does happen. I figure O will prob. be this weekend.

Just a quick update on myself! I am waiting for AF so I can start Clomid again. I am 99.9% sure I did not O this cycle, but I have been having a few strange symptoms so I am debating whether to test or not. CD39 and holding  Possible testing tomorrow...
Hope everyone has a wonderful day, with many BFPs in the near future! :D

Congrats Missy!!
There are some good looking charts!
Temps are still high and FF is holding firm on my O date. I still disagree on the date and I am trying not to get my hopes up. But I am officially back in the game, so Threadmistress, will you change me to I think I O'd - testing 8/29 - 9/2? Thanks

Updated to here!
UT, Welcome back! :D I disagree with FF also. I think you probably O'd on Saturday, though with those missing temps, it is hard to say. Good luck! :)

I'm sorry I haven't been around much, ladies. I've been trying to keep my mind off TTC, and it works well until I hit O time. :o Now once again I am obsessed with BD'ing and CM and all that other good stuff.
Congrats to all the BFP's while I was gone!
Good luck to those that are testing.
amurphy Happy Anniversary! I hope tonight is THE night.
You know, until DH and I started TTC nobody asked when we were going to have a baby, now that we have been trying since May with no luck it seems like someone asks me EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Drives me batty. *sigh* Oh, well...

Congratulaions missy329!
FF says that I O'd, but I do not think that is correct. The past two nights have been really restless nights and I believe that may have caused my higher temps. That combined with my EWCM the day after O gives me some doubts. I guess I just need to wait and see if my temps keep rising, but I hope that FF is correct because that would mean that my body is starting to go back to normal after BCP. Well, that and the fact that our BD timing would be ideal for this cycle. :D

It been a while since I've posted. My chart doesn't have much to offer since i've decided not to temp this cycle. Now that I've been sick since Sunday with a fever, body aches and chills I think that my decision not to temp was a good one. I started OPKs today and am hoping for a positive this weekend. I took Femara this cycle and hope to O earlier.
Good Luck to everyone. I'm going to go chart stalk.

ilovemygeek-
the same thing happened to me this month....i couldnt believe it when it gave me an O...but we kept BDing as long as i had fertile Cm ...so you can see by my chart i had fertile CM for a few days after ff's O but my temps are still high and i had alittle bit of a dip 2 days a go....so here's to hoping....good luck!
jnshanna

And the charting saga continues. :p Just when I think I've got the hang of it there is something new to learn....
Well, I finally bought a BBT today. I've been using a digital one but not Basal. I tested them and the one I've been using is 3/10 lower than the new one I just got. Greeeeaaat. At least I have a pattern to go by but my charts won't match up comparing the months. :( I won't start using my new one until my next cycle.
Then I was reading the paperwork that came with my BBT and it says to pinpoint ovulation you have to look at your last 6 temps and look for an increase in at least 2/10 above the highest temp over the past 6 temps. So I think that changed my O date?? Anybody want to take a look? Instead of it being on CD13, I'm thinking it was at the earliest on CD14 now. Because my highest previous temp was on CD 10 and it doesn't go up by 2/10 until CD14 but it could be as late as CD 16 since my temps continued to go up and there are supposed to be 3 high temps in a row after O, right? BUT, FF has my coverline showing CD 13 as my highest previous temp. It's supposed to create the coverline 1/10 above the 1 highest of the previous 6 temps. I'm so confused.
Oh, I've GOT to stop obsessing about this! I think as long as my O is between CD 12- 17 I should be okay as far as BDing. (Crossing my fingers!!) I know I said I shouldn't obsess but I think I'm going to re-read TCOYF because I don't think I paid enough attention to the temping part because I didn't plan to do that. That didn't last very long though. ;) Thanks for listening. I know I'm babbling.
Indiana Bride
08-24-2005, 08:25 PM
jnshanna - The info that came with your thermometer probably follows traditional FAM rules. FF uses their own "method" to detect ovulation. That's why all of the charts default to the advanced method-I believe FF's method takes more into account the the traditional FAM rules (according to FF anyway). Either way-good luck :)
Missy329 - Sorry I'm late but CONGRATS :D

tEMP WENT DOWN TODAY ABOUT ? SHOULD i WORRY , IT'S STILL HIGH AND EVEN WITH THE TUES DAY TEMP??? HUMMMM
Your temp's fine... I know it's hard, but try to look at the big picture with the temps and not each individual temp. It should go back up tomorrow.
Sabriel: thanks...I hope so too!
missy, albuquerque, & indiana bride: thanks for the baby dust!
Ilovemygeek: it's possible to have EW after O, so hang in there and keep BDing till you see 3 high temps!
jnshanna: I think you will see an overall similar pattern w/ the 2 therms, just shifted by the .3, so comparison could still happen. And you'll probably feel much better if you DO re-read TCOYF! I personally think you O'd later than your CH, but I'm new at this too!
missy, albuquerque, & indiana bride: thanks for the baby dust!
klav: no worries yet...your temp is still above CL! Hang in there!
polkadot: UGH! Good thing you didn't *listen* to FF...fingers crossed for you...sorry about the extra long 2ww!!!!
Wrighty: Great to hear that you're feeling positive! Hope Clomid continues to treat you well...good luck!
To anyone I missed: Hope the BDing and waiting are going well!
_______________________________
As for me, CD 15...any guesses on my O? I was fully expecting my temp to go way up today after the slight rise yesterday...
Also, anyone had a YI during TTC? If so, what did the dr. say about treating it? I have a refill on a prescription but don't know if I can use it!
Thanks Lizard I know it's SOOO hard!!
I for got to mention last night.... we had a charity softball game and at the afterhours type party... I ordered some chowda(new England) and I thought it was so Peppery... my DH could not taste it? wondering if that is an indication ? sence I have not had any symptoms at all???

Congrats Missy!!!
Nothing much to report here. I'm either 3 or 4 dpo based on my OPKs (since I haven't been able to temp b/c of insomnia). Luckily I have my anniversary and a Labor day trip to my parents to keep me occupied.
Threadmistress, can you move me to I think I O'ed testing 8/29-9/4? Thanks!
Anyone have any excitiing plans for Labor Day?

klav I agree with Lizard. You temp is still way above the coverline, so no need to worry!
mkvh I'd say you haven't Oed yet. Sorry to hear about the YI. I'm not sure about treating it during TTC. I'd probably call the doc.
Wrighty26 and klav Glad to hear that you are feeling good on the Clomid. It can't do anything but help!
polkadot It's hard to say with the open circle on CD 19, but I'd still say that you Oed on CD14. There is a temp shift there along with EWCM. If the open temp on CD 19 is accurate, then I really don't think you Oed on CD 20. There is no temp shift there. One thing that I learned in the TTA thread is you cannot rely on FF. It loves to call O anytime there is a temp dip. :rollseyes"
albuquerque, Indiana Bride and missy329 Grabbing up some baby dust!!!
jnshanna I agree that your O was probably a few days later than FF says, especially with all of that EWCM. Though, it is hard to tell with all of the open circles right around O. Also, I am not sure how accurate a normal termometer is. I don't know how that affects things. Based on your chart as is, I'd say you probably Oed on CD 15.
CD 24 for me and no O in sight. We will BD tonight just in case, but I am leaving first thing tomorrow for Kansas City until Tuesday. Hope this cycle isn't a bust!

Ryan- 8 dpo for me too! Only a few more days until we can test!
Sabriel- hopefully it isn't a bust... trips away from dh suck!
lowcountrywed- Happy Anniversary!
LABOR DAY: Dh and I are going to take a trip over labor day weekend. We are going to go to bowling green, ky and see the corvette museum/plant then go to lynchburg, tn to see the jack daniels distillery then we are going to memphis for 2 days! It is going to be so much fun and i can't wait. We have been counting down for weeks. I will know whether or not we are pg by then too. We leave on what would be 16DPO. I don't think my lp is that long! Have a lot of fun on your trip!
mkvh- I am terrible at reading charts! I can barely figure out what mine means. If i didn't have such a temp difference between phases i would be lost! I am not help with YI either, sorry. I feel so useless!
Wrighty26- Yay for the good mood. I hope the clomid works for ya!
polkadot- UGG! That's annoying. It IS a good thing you covered your bases. 3 week wait sucks! More baby dust to hold you over! I did the compare charts to yours yesterday on ff and there was a mix of a couple bfp's and a couple not. So as i see it i still have a 50/50 shot at a bfp. It's called fuzzy logic! :D
albuquerque- Thanks for the baby dust! We need as much as we can get!
klav- My temp went down .4 today. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day it goes back up and stays there! Here's wishin'! I still don't think this is going to be our cycle but we will see. A girl can hope. :)
missy329- thanks for the baby dust. Have a wonderful pregnancy!
Indiana Bride- Thanks for the baby dust!
jnshanna- Yikes! Your post had me feeling like i was back in high school algebra. ha ha. I had to read it twice though. Unfortunately, i don't have anything to add and i think someone already cleared it up anyway. You are right that you will have the pattern but wont be able to compare charts as you go forward. That stinks! I am yet to get a clear answer on what the difference is between thermometers. HEY! Better yet just get a BFP and don't test anymore! That would be great!
I almost pulled out my copy of tcoyf to reread about the lp... when does implantation usually occur?
ds2003- I hope you start feeling better!
Ilovemygeek- I employed my own method this month which was bd until i was absolutely positive that i had o'd. I was at 3 dpo before we stopped bd'ing. Hopefully it worked! Lots of baby dust for you!
Mystikal- I hate when people say that. This morning the receptionist at my office was telling me about her granddaughter and then said "you will see when you have yours." I was like... "heh?" I don't obsess until its time to o then i obsess until af arrives. What makes it worse is this is our first month of TRYING. We were not not trying for the last couple of months. I mark August as our first official month of ttc but really we have been guesstimating for a few months now. Hang in there.
gator97- Sorry af found you. Hang in there... this could be your month. Sending lots of baby vibes your way.
SO many people posted on here last night. I swear i have been sending shout outs for 15 mins. ha ha. I only check the board from work. I just can't convince to use the comp at home since i spend all day on a comp at work. Sorry if i missed anyone in shout outs. Happy bd'ing to you!
8DPO for me and a .4 temp drop. I am not going to lose hope yet. My temp could still go up in the next couple of days and i shouldn't technically test until Monday. I bought 5 dollar store tests yesterday so i am prepared to test starting the beginning of next week. My only documented lp phase was 13 days long so if that holds true af would be here by next tuesday  Hopefully i get a BFP though. For some reason i just don't think i will. I just don't feel that vibe. I guess i just expect to feel pregnant if i am. I don't know. If not this month then maybe next month. I'll still be sad though :(

Sabriel ~ Hey, you're coming to KC? Cool! :) Is it work-related?
Sabriel
08-25-2005, 09:18 AM
cat_loverpq Yep! I'm a vet tech and the Central Veterinary Conference is there this weekend. It should be a good trip, but I am a little bitter about it affecting our TTC efforts! Of course, this is just our first month, so I was not really expecting it happen this month anyway.
That reminds me of a QOTD I have for you girls. Is your job TTC/pregnancy friendly?
As I said, I am a vet tech and work around x-rays and inhaled anesthetics everyday. The x-rays are obviously not good, but the anesthesia makes me even more nervous as it can cause miscarriages. I don't want to tell anyone at work that we are TTC, but I almost feel like I have to. So far, I have convinced the office manager to let me work as a receptionist as much as possible, but I am still being scheduled to work as a tech more often than I would like. It hasn't been a problem yet (since I haven't Oed yet), but I know that I will be panicky working around this stuff in the 2WW. I am probably going to have to break down and tell my office manager the real reason. :(
ellidew
08-25-2005, 09:38 AM
Yikes Sabriel that stinks! Be careful. Have fun at your conference too!
QOTD: My job is ttc/pregnancy friendly environment. I have a sales position and work in my own office all day. It is quite cushy.

Today is a bit of a rough day so I think I'm going to take a break. My temp went down today by a lot so I'm not feeling very positive. I'll check in again tomorrow.

Hey, I'm 8dpo, too! :) Is there a club I can join?
I can't really say I "feel pregnant", but I do feel different. The cramping at 5dpo and the high temps and the weird CM (also at 5dpo) have me wondering. Then again, I've had (different) FPS before. I'm trying to simultaneously prepare myself for either outcome.

Aw, shucks - You're all gonna make me blush! :o I really really really hope this is it (as I'm sure everyone else is hoping about their own charts, too)! I keeping thinking "Maybe..." but then I try to talk myself down -- You know, I felt dizzy last night, but maybe I was just really tired. And my rings were tight this morning, but maybe it's the heat and humidity. And my stomach feels a little bloated, but maybe I've been eating too many salty foods. And I feel a little more tired than usual, but maybe it's because I've cut back on caffeine. And I feel distracted, but that's probably because I have a lot of things on my mind and a ton of stuff to get done this week.
See what I mean?
I did go by Dollar Tree and buy a couple of tests today...

08-25-2005, 03:19 PM
Okay, so I couldn't stay away. :p
I think I'm over my slump. Now to catch up!
Indiana Bride ~ Thanks for letting me know the difference between FF and the FAM rules. That helps.
klav ~ Your temp still looks fine to me. It's way above your coverline so you're good.
albuguerque ~ Thanks for the babydust. I got some! :D
Polkadot ~ Bummer about the moved O. Hang in there! I hope this "extended" 2WW goes fast!!
Michelle ~ That's great that your in such a great mood. I'm not sure if it's Clomid either or just the positive thoughts because you have a plan. A plan always puts me in a good mood.
mkvh ~ I think we need a couple more days of temps to get a good O date and I'm not very good at estimating so I'm no help. LOL You doing great with BDing so it looks great to me!
lowcountrywed ~ Oh good, you'll be plenty occupied. I can't wait to go on vacation to get my mind off this 2WW.
Sabriel ~ Thanks for taking a look at my chart. I agree that CD15 seems to be a better bet. That's pretty good, if we're right because I get a high BD rating then. :D I decided to change my chart to have O on CD15 just because I think that's probably more reasonable. So I have more of a wait but that's probably good because maybe I'm not having any symptoms because implantation hasn't happened yet? I'm trying not to hope though. Hope you have a nice trip! And that O holds out until you return.
Ellidew ~ LOL about the Algebra. I was in one of those moods last night throwing out stats like crazy! Implantation occurs anywhere from 7-10 DPO from what I've read at FF. But I've seen other women here say that implantation happened for them as early as 5DPO but I'm not sure if that could be because of a wrong O date possibly or if that really does happen. Since I changed my chart, it could be that implantation hasn't happened for me yet. I'll hold on to that hope for now.... but not too tight. I think your temps still look good. Could be an implantation dip for you, ya never know!
QOTD: My job is definitely ttc/pregnancy friendly. I work at a plant and tree nursery, remotely at one of my company's sites but work for our Corporate office. Since I already work remotely and all of my work is done via Email for the most part I have the flexibility to work from home. And my tenative plan is to work from home after the baby is born although I'd rather not go back to work at all! So I figure if I have bad days during pregnancy, I can just stay home and work from there. The pay isn't the greatest here but the flexibility is invaluable I think.
And finally (I've feel like I wrote a book!) my update. I already said above that I changed my chart and that pushed back my O date so I've decided that I won't be testing before we go on vacation this weekend. I'll just wait until I return. I have thought about bringing a test with me though just in case. LOL I probably shouldn't do that, huh? I know I'll use it if I bring it. Nah, I won't take one. The next couple of days before we leave will be hard though! I haven't opened my boxes of tests yet so that's all that's keeping me from not testing right now. I still don't really have any symptoms except this cramp just below my ribs. Could be heart burn or something? And the right side of my lower back is cramping. That could be anything though so I'm not obsessing. Really, I'm not! ;)
Okay, I'm finally done. I don't think I should take a break again, even if it's just for a few hours. Catching up is murder!

Forgot to answer the QOTD: My job is very TTC/pregnancy-friendly. I sit at my desk most of the day, I can snack whenever I want on whatever I want to bring, there aren't any harsh chemicals around, and the bathroom is not terribly far from my office. :) The only trouble is that I don't get sick days or any kind of paid maternity leave, but I can take some time off without pay and it shouldn't be a problem. I do plan to come back to work after our (someday) baby is born, but possibly just part-time.

I could have written this same post! My office also allows telecommuting-- so I'm almost positive I could work it out that am I able to work from home a couple of days a week-- at least initially (which would be awesome- since Dan has opposite days off of work than me- meaning we wouldn't necessarily have to do daycare right off the bat). I DEFINITELY plan on coming back to work though...
Good luck to you Shelby-- your temps are looking AWESOME!
jnshanna- Good luck to you too! I love how you rationalize every FPS :)
To everyone else-- thanks for the well wishes-- and best wishes to all of you this month/next!!

Klav you are only on DPO 7, implantation typically happens DPO7-10, you won't have any symptoms really until after that. I didn't feel anything at all. I had spotting on DPO 7 and thought implantation, that is the only thing I noticed until DPO10 or 11. Hang in there, you are not out of it yet. Here is some baby dust for you and all the others in 2WW.

sabriel got me to thinking so lets take a poll....when do you think I O'ed
i am thinking day 14 b/c of the drastic temp change and such...but this morning FF changed my O to cycle day 20....i was thinking that slow rise of the last three days was a good sign...now...not so much...anyone know what the hell is going on in there?

QOTD: My job is TTC/pregnancy friendly. I sit at my desk on the computer all day. I wish I had more privacy so I could chat on here during the day, but work is very busy and have no privacy. I am a hop, skip and a jump from the bathroom. I will have 6 or 8 weeks sick time off once the baby is born depending on if the baby is delivered vaginally or cesarean. I plan to take some vacation time on there and some FMLA. I would like to be our at least 10 weeks. I will have the option of working part time if I would like, but I doubt I will. We are not that financially stable for me to do that. When I get back to work I plan on pumping since I want to breastfeed for at least 6 months. A whole year would be the best. I have already picked our the bathroom that I will use since it has a private lounge. All the other women's bathrooms have lounges, but the main door opens into them and I wouldn't want a passerby to see my tits hanging out.

Polkadot I agree with you for CD14. That dip could be a good sign ;) I'm no expert but I don't think your chart looks bad. Keep your chin up!
klav ~ I know it can be hard during the wait. It's still a little early though ;)
QOTD ~ I guess my employer is TTC/Pregnancy friendly. My direct boss gets weird about it because he thinks that I am totally going to change afterwards. I know that I will change but I he knows that I have to work after the baby is born. We'll see how it goes when the time comes though.
Good luck to any testers coming up!
Here's hoping that anyone waiting to O, O's soon :p

Still no change here except for CD, lol. I'm on CD 19 and just waiting for that eggie. I haven't gotten any EW yet and my monitor still reads high. I have taken 2 opks the past 2 afternoons and they were both negative. So I am in the waiting game, hope it's coming this weekend!

Checking In :)
I am currently 10dpo. Today I had a large temp drop. However I am not sure whether it is because I got up earlier than normal (45 minutes). School started today so I will be getting up earlier than I did over the summer. The only symptoms I've had are sore nipples and an excessive amounts of CM. I am not obessessing this month (can't with so much to do at work). So only time will tell (should get AF by Sunday). It would be so awesome to get a BFP since our anniversary is on Tuesday, but I won't hold my breath.

I am just going to have to accept the fact that I will have to do mass SO's during the week since I miss so much during the day. I'm a teacher and rarely sit down, much less get on the computer. So...a happy BDing, a big "hurry up" to the eggs who haven't shown up yet this cycle, and and a good luck with upcoming testing. That should cover everyone! ;)
As for the QOTD~It depends. I teach 4th grade and am on my feet all day long which will be hard with swollen feet and my classroom couldn't be farther down the hall from our faculty bathroom. There is no such thing as paid maternity leave and I have to put on a happy face even if I feel like puking or crawling into bed. But...I have a wonderful team who looks out for each other (ie. watching your class while you run down that hall to the bathroom), a couple of months off during the summer, and mostly supportive bosses. Plus everyone gushes over the pg women, especially the teachers who are my mom's age. It has its pros and cons, but what job doesn't?

QOTD-
Unfortunatley I do not work in a PG friendly environment. I am an electronics technician for the FAA and I work on Radar equipment with a lot of radiation risk. It has been tested and deemed "safe" but they usually don't want the pg women working around it anyway. The other bad part is that I do a lot of physical work and a lot of work outside. With my last baby I asked the OB about climbing and he thought I meant climbing stairs. I had to explain that I meant climbing antennas with a climbing harness on- he decided that I probably should not be doing that. But the good part is the great pay and benefits!

QOTD- My job is somewhat pregnancy/child friendly. My boss knows we are trying (or at least knows I plan on getting pregnant sometime in the near future) because I had to ask her to add maternity coverage to our insurance (small company, so the law doesn't require it). However I don't get any paid maternity leave and don't plan on coming back after I have a baby. I work in PR/marketing, so there is a chance for some freelance type work with my company (hopefully, not guaranteed). I will be traveling a lot in Nov. & Dec. but the rest of the year, I travel rarely.
klav - I know it's hard but hang in there. I haven't looked at your chart, but as long as your temps stay over the coverline, you are fine. In TCYOF there a sample pg chart with post-O temps that are up and down. A lot of people don't get symptoms until they are 5 weeks and some never really do at the early stage.

My workplace is very pg-friendly and kid friendly. Our insurance is great, my boss is awesome and would work with me for days off or flexible schedules. I can't really work from home though. Also, they offer summertime sabaticals... you can take 1, 2, or 3 months off without pay. My job technically doesn't qualify for that, since me and my boss are the only people that do our jobs, but I think they'd work with me if I was interested.
One thing that makes me sad though, is that my insurance is AWESOME, but covers little to nothing for infertility. They don't cover drug treatments, IVF or IUI's. But they do fully cover vasectomies, tubal ligation, etc. I've heard this is the "norm" but it really upsets me.
CD6 and I think I'm gonna start green tea tonight. I'm also seriously increasing my water intake. Looking back, I realized that the cycle that I had the possible chem pg in, was the one I had the most CM and was also when I drank the most water (we were travelling a lot and I always had a water bottle on me). I figure it can't hurt anyways. :)
Has there been any word from hbeshore? Her chart hasn't been updated since the 17th.

Well, today is a better day. My temp went way back up from 97.5 to 98.2. So I feel a little better. I was so tired yesterday that I went to be at 7! I woke up twice at night sweating too. Not that I'm counting on that meaning I'm possibly pg but you know how it goes. I think I was just drained yesterday from stress.
Happy Friday to everyone!

I got a little discouraged this morning when my temp held at yesterdays temp dip. If it doesn't go back up tomorrow morning i am counting myself out. Hi gals!
I'm 7DPO today and trying hard not to obsess. I am feeling crampy, not quite the same as AF but centered more in the lower front of my abdomen. I vaguely remember having similar cramping last month with a BFN, so I'm not reading too much into it.
I can't even rememebr if I had any symptoms with my son because I didn't find out I was preggo until 21 DPO  ! My cycle at that point was wacky and we had just returned from our honeymoon!
Anyway, I'm debating on whether to simply wait for AF to show (I usually start spotting by 10 DPO) or to test on Sunday or Monday. What do ya'll think?
Quick question....If my LP is on the shorter side (less than 12 days usually), does that mean I have a better chance of getting a positive result sooner?
ShelbyMay, defintaely don't give up yet! Your chart looks great!
You too, jnshanna!

Just a quickie post - work has been so busy this week and I'm way behind in reading along.
CD17 for me and Day 8 of spotting. Spotting this much really sucks. I finally called my doctor yesterday and spoke with a nurse about it - I told her that I just want to make sure it isn't a sign of something being off and that it won't interfere with TTC. The doc is supposed to call me today.
My temps are staying normal, b/w 97.4 and 97.8. I ran out of OPKs, but will pick some up tomorrow and start using them again. I figure O will probably be sometime in the next few days. At least I hope so! DH is on notice that we will be BDing nightly starting tonight!
I'll catch up over the weekend. I hope everyone has a great one!
Wow...lots of action in here today! TRYING to do SOs...
ellidew: don't count yourself out yet...you are WAY above your CL still!
jjsanner: looking good too... I don't think a shorter 'normal' LP has anything to do with a +. When you get a + depends on when the little guy implants, and that has little to do with your LP. Although you'll be *late* sooner...so FF will say you can/should test sooner. And really, if your LP is short, I guess the little guy would HAVE to implant sooner to keep AF away. So circular logic taken into account...
jnshanna: wow! Lovin' the I-dip!! That' s a nice, high temp today.
jody: likin' the chart! Glad to see that your temp is back up today. Hope the start of school is going well.
shelby: Beautiful rise you've got going on! And shame on you for testing at 9DPO (ha ha...pot, kettle...I did it last month.)
klav: hang in there!
polkadot: I'm not an expert by any means, but by FAM rules, you didn't have a dry up to coincide with the CD 14 O...but who knows, really.
dlj: C'mon eggie!
UTChick: I am a corporate trainer, and I feel your pain about having to put on a happy face in front of the classroom. Praying that MS doesn't hit any of us hard!
lizard: I was wondering about hbshore myself. Hmmm...
gymwidow: hope you get some answers!
----------------------------
ME: Don't be fooled by the huge temp rise today. DH and I had several beers last night, and he turned off the AC in our bedroom. Could it be O, sure. But who knows. And with this YI, I can't tell by CM. Argh! Maybe I can truly confirm O on Tuesday with all we've got going on this weekend! Next month we're using OPKs FOR SURE.

Praying hard that my temp stays up tomorrow! ;)
Ellidew ~ Hang in there, you are still well above the CL so you're certainly not out yet. :)
Shelbymay ~ I still think you're looking great! You're bound to have a temp dip at some point after O. I bet it will go back up. :)
Thanks for the babydust, Mel! :D
jjsanner ~ I guess it depends on how you feel about BFN's. If you take a test this weekend, it might show up as BFN and you could still be pg. I'd probably wait until Tuesday at least to test. But that's just my personal decision because last month was hard with all the BFN's that I got. Now, I'm not saying it's easy! ;) I want to test sooo bad but I'm trying not to until the end of next week and I'm approx. 10DPO (not positive about O). Whatever you decide, good luck!
gymwidow ~ Let us know what the dr says. I hope this spotting stops and O finally shows for you.

I am so bored at work i just don' t know what to do with myself. Luckily i only work until 12:30 on Fridays so i only have to suffer through another 15 minutes! yay!
Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I know i am not out yet i am just bracing myself. I guess i just always thought i would feel pregnant, ya know? I hope everyone has a good weekend and there are some BFP's to report next week. I am NOT going to get through the weekend without testing, i will be lucky to get through the day!

Mel7dog ~ Thanks for the dust!
Shelbey ~ Your chart still looks good. I bet it was just too early to test. :)
polkadot ~ Your temps certainly show CD14, but without a dryup, it's hard to say...
gymwidow ~ I hope the spotting isn't a sign of something wrong. Let us know what the dr says, and I hope the spotting stops soon!
jjsanner ~ I have no idea on the + result showing up sooner. I'll leave that to the experts to answer. :)

QOTD ~ Is your job TTC/pregnancy friendly?
Fortunately my job is very TTC/pregnancy friendly - I sit at my computer all day running numbers. :) The bad thing is one of my co-workers is wanting to start TTC soon, so I need to get pg now so we can time our maternity leaves and not be gone at the same time! :D We get 6 weeks of leave at full pay and 2 weeks at half pay. I will probably work from home (part-time) during those 2 weeks to make up for the pay difference. I will also use up my vacation time on top of that (2 weeks), and probably save my personal time (1 week) for emergencies. Luckily we also have flex-time, so if I need to leave early for an appointment I can work through lunch or come in early the next day to make up for that time. :)
My office is definitely used to pregnancies - 4 women have had babies in the last 5 months, and another one is due in March!

The doctor called me back. She said that after I went off the pill, the breakthrough bleeding should have stopped. She suggested I have an endometrial biopsy. After I talked to her, I called a family friend who's a GYN and spoke to him. He suggested I start with an ultrasound to check the lining of my uterus - said that might give us answers and, if not, then I can proceed to the biopsy. So, for now I have an appt. next Thursday for the u/s, and an appointment on Sept. 20 if necessary for the biopsy.
My friend said that it's probably nothing to worry about and that he doubts it's anything that would prevent me from having a baby, but that we should still check it out. So, here's hoping it's just a minor inconvenience rather than a sign that something's wrong!
{{{Hugs}}} to you gymwidow. Keep us posted.

klav, do you have any idea how long your luteal phase usually lasts? If you are 8dpo now, then you're probably supposed to wait another 6 or 7 days. That being said, I am a big hypocrite and took a (BFN) test today at 9dpo. I think I'm going to try to hold off until Monday before testing again, since that's when FF said I should test based on my expected AF.
ETA: Thought about it and realized that I am a liar, too -- I will probably take a cheapie test on Sunday morning. If at all possible, it would be great to get a BFP on a day when DH and I can actually spend some time alone together to absorb the news.
ShelbyMay Lt usually last till day 28. If I understand LT correctly
waiting another week would put me on day 28 when AF should possible show!
I just read somewhere that a BFN on 14 DPO is 95% reliable. I think FF has stats that show the majority of women who will get a BFP will get it by 14 DPO...there are a few who are later. And if you have clear implantation signs (cramping, spotting, temp dip), you SHOULD test positive 48 hours after that with a really sensitive test.
I've read all of this on one thread or another... obsessed much?

Thanks ladies! I'm so glad I can share this stuff with you guys! Only a few people IRL know that we're TTC and only one person knows about this new development, so I'm glad I have you guys to come and talk about it with.
In my heart I don't think the spotting is a "problem" - more of an annoyance, but at the same time I just want to find out why it's happening and make sure that there aren't any real problems we need to address. Real knowledge is better than lots of guesses, you know? I'm already all impatient and wishing it were Thursday tomorrow!

Good lord, what this thread will do in 3 days!
I'm picking up DH in 2 hours. Y'all might remember that he's been gone most of the summer. I'm ecstatic that he's coming home, but a little bummed because most likely, when he leaves again, he'll be flying trips, so it's not like I can go visit him :(.
But anyway, I skimmed through to catch up & a few things caught my attention.
jnshanna, you're going to hate me for this, but I think there's a good chance that you O'd CD17 or 18. FF is a great tool for keeping track of your stats, but it is notorious for calling O incorrectly. This cycle, since you're not using a BBT, is very hard to determine based on your temps. Your CM, however, shows a text book dry-up & is a much more reliable indicator. If this is the case, then the good news is that your BD schedule still looks great! So don't stress yourself out if don't get an early BFP. :)
Has there been any word from hbeshore? Her chart hasn't been updated since the 17th.
hbeshore does not exist anymore, though the original user with her original username does. I'm not quite sure why she hasn't let us know; perhaps she didn't realize how closely we watch each other :). If I get the time I'll PM her & ask her to give us an update.
gymwidow, I really, really hope this is nothing, or if it is, something easy to treat that will help with TTC.
jjsanner, a short LP doesn't help the little eggie implant earlier; in fact, a short LP is often an indication that the egg will have a problem implanting. The vast majority of eggs implant between CD7-10 (though it can be as early as CD4 & as late as CD12), and if you have a fertilized egg that wants to implant on CD9 or 10, it won't be able to because your body will already be shedding the lining. If you notice a pattern of short LPs you should call the doc.
Hope everyone has a great weekend![/color]

What? Surely you weren't insinuating that I am an A-type personality. Because I have never said that I was "seeing what happens" and then four days later start temping again. And I certainly don't argue with FF incessantly about when my O date really was because I am always right and will go to great lengths to prove it. You must have me confused with someone else. ;)
ETA: I'm still at work so I will do SO's when I get home.

I had a little temp jump today. Not much, but when I enter in high temps the next few days( I know you all have done it to) it gives me an O on cd44. Of course dh wasnt feeling well that night but we did bd the day before. Hopefully the swimmers held out. The other possibility is that I temped 20min late today and was incredibly hot. I may not have O'ed at all. I will be back to update Monday. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Aw Flygirl, that's too bad that your DH won't be in town long enough. Thanks for taking a look at my chart. And I don't hate you for saying I probably didn't O until CD17 or 18. ;) Honestly, I just really want to know what's going on! I think next month my chart will look much better since I'll be using a BBT then. Of course I'll be disappointed starting a new month (if that happens) but it'll be a challenge to get my chart looking good.

Oh my goodness, I can't possibly keep up with the SO's. This thread is smokin'!
I did want to sympathize with gymwidow. I started having mucho trouble with my ashtma and doctors recommended that we put TTC on hold until that was resolved. Longest few months of my life.
Threadmistress: Please update my stats to include,
Known issues/test results: Dx Stage 2-3 endometriosis, all removed 8/05; adenomyosis-unable to remove
My dr. doesn't think the adenomyosis will harm our fertility but he's going to consult with another colleague. He's going to give us 6 months to see and then suggest other things. Bummer of it is though, that with the adenomyosis still I may not see a decrease in pain. But hopefully, the asthma problems with be resolved with the removal of the endometriosis. Fingers crossed.
Had the laparoscopy yesterday afternoon and I'm actually feeling much better than I expected. Quite sore and moving slow.
Sorry for not many SO's. It is always so busy in here .. . but so nice to see how supportive this group is . . it's pretty cool.

Well, my temp went up a lot again today so I can't help but be hopefully. I have this underlined feeling that I'm setting myself up for failure but I have to hope, right? No change in bb's but I've had a lot of mild cramping yesterday and today and I woke up 4 times last night to go to the restroom. And I was really tired again last night and went to bed at 8. Just keeping my fingers crossed and trying to keep my hands OFF the tests! :P I just have to get through today and tomorrow and then we'll be all packed and ready to leave for Vegas. :D And I'll test when I get back.

I wish I could go back 2 days to when my chart was looking so promising. I won't totally count myself out for this cycle yet b/c I barely slept last night (maybe from 1am - 6am) and have been under a ton of stress (Today I had a yard sale in the morning and threw a bridal shower in the afternoon. I was up so late last night making food for the shower and had to get up bright and early for the sale.) Now I really just want to go to bed (at 6pm!), but my inlaws are over at our house and will be staying for dinner. I drew the line at cooking, though -- We're getting pizza!
ETA: I forgot to mention that I tested this morning with a FRER -- another BFN. I never claimed to be a patient person.

08-28-2005, 07:46 AM
WOW -- absolutely no posts in the past 14.5 hours?!? Is everybody off BDing or what? ;)
My temps are completely useless. After so little sleep on Friday night, I was exhausted and went to bed around 6pm last night (I'm such a rude DIL :p ). I temped at my usual time, but the extra sleep (since I usually go to bed around 11pm or midnight) probably caused the big jump.
Tested this morning with an Equate (for variety :) ) and got another BFN. Hey, it said I could use it as early as the first day of my missed period, and FF claims that AF should be showing up any minute now.
Mystikal
08-28-2005, 08:15 AM
I love that temp jump!! FTR, I believe the longer you sleep the deeper the sleep and the lower the temp, so I think it's looking pretty good. If implantation occurred later in your LP you may not get a BFP for another couple days!!
FF gave me crosshairs today so I am officially in the 2WW again. *sigh* I hope I don't get my hopes up as much this cycle as I did last cycle. One of my online friends is in her first 2WW right now, too, and she has always said that we are destined to be pg together, and how weird that we are now cycling together...maybe she's right. There I go, getting obsessed again. :p

Shanna & ShelbyMay: Both your charts are looking good! I know the temptation is to be negative so to avoid getting your hopes up, but a little positivity is definitely called for here. Good luck to you both!
Mystical: Well, the first half of the month wait (waiting to O) is over. Now comes the exciting part! Hoping to join you in the 2ww any day now...
jodylovesscotty: Sorry about stupid old AF. :(
I'm at CD16 and another .2 temp rise this morning. If I get another rise tomorrow, FF puts me at 3DPO. We shall see. I'm anxious to get to the 2ww. Oh. And I'm not holding out so long with testing like I did last cycle. Yes, I saved myself money on tests but sparing myself from seeing the BFN until CD18 (or whatever it was) did not make it any easier. In fact, I think it was harder b/c not seeing the BFN allowed me to keep getting my hopes up. Anyway....off to get my morning coffee. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

08-28-2005, 08:46 AM
Quick question about the Equate tests: Is the "test" result supposed to be really light? I definitely did not see a plus sign, but the horizontal negative sign was a really light grey/brown compared to the bright pink control line. Is that just how they're supposed to be? Seems silly to me, because it kept me squinting at the test for a couple minutes even though it was negative.
ETA: How is a bored person supposed to chart stalk if the entire "Testing 8/22-8/28" group has abandoned us?

I just realized this morning that I never entered my positive OPK on CD15. I wasn't sure it was positive but looking at it again it looks like it is so I entered it and FF changed my O date to CD15. I'm still overriding it to CD17 though because that would be 36 hours after my positive OPK. So you were right, Flygirl. :) It had to be at least CD17 but could have possibly been CD16 too. Either way BD timing was "high". :D But of course we still only have a 20% chance so I'm trying not to get too happy about it. My temp went down just a little today but I'm not worried about it. I figure if it continues to go down, then I'll be worried.
This is positive, right?

amurphy ~ I hear ya on the testing. It's such a tough call to make! Hopefully just taking the test earlier this time will make it a little less stressful for you. BTW, your BD timing looks pretty good!
I don't know a whole lot about testing, ShelbyMay so I'll leave that question to an expert. ;) Good luck!

Shelbymay, I looked at your chart before reading your posts & thought, "I think we're going to have another one on our hands!" Yesterday looks like the perfect implantation dip, which explains why you've had BFN's, since hCG doesn't show until about two days after implantation. Your activities *may* have something to do with the temps, but, well, I guess we'll just have to wait & see. **After seeing your recent post: I'm not familiar with that type of Equate (mine have only vertical lines; one control & one a BFP) so I don't know what the negative line is supposed to look like. The test could very well be faulty. But like I said above, you won't see any hCG until a few days past implantation.
jodylovesscotty, :(. I'm sorry. I'm sending good thoughts your way.
amurphy, aren't you too funny ;). Screw the family...I mean, forget about the family; if (I can't remember who) can drive 6 hours to dtd, you guys can handle the floor. OK... I just hit refresh & realized you're hoping you've already O'd. HOPING!
jnshanna, that is definitely a positive OPK. Your temp is still very high & that dip on 7 DPO looks very pretty. :)

Huge congratulations to guinness. I hope you have a happy, healthy and enjoyable nine months.
As for me, hopefully this week I will O. I am debating if I should get an OPK or not. My first cycle TTC, when I did get pregnant, I just charted and checked for cervical fluids which seemed to be enough. Since then I have gotten OPK and nothing. I'm here. Took a test this morning...BFN, as expected. It could just be too early. 9 DPO is probably too early to test, right? I dunno, I feel a little off and have been peeing so much and I had such a good feeling about this cycle. Trying not to get too discouraged.
BTW, I still don't have the AF cramps and absolutely no spotting. Actually, I just looked back at my past cycles and it appears that the spotting usually starts around 10 DPO. So I'll check in tomorrow and let ya'll know what's happening.

Hi all,
was away for the weekend. I plugged my numbers from this weekend in and FF put me as Oing on the 11th day, but that would be way too early for me, just having O pains today. Think I have a few days left, but we have BD'd everyday this weekend and will do so for the next week or so. Praying we can catch the egg this time.
Question, when you wake up later than normal, what is the degrees you take off.

Sorry I've been incommunicado lately but work has been hectic!
FF has given me dotted cross hairs with an tentative O date at day 14, but I just think that is way off base. I have never O'ed that early in any of my last cycles, day 17-18-19 is a lot more like it. I also had EW on days 16-17 so I'm thinking my O date is actually much later than FF has given me. We'll see what happens as this cycle progresses. Thoughts anyone???

Sorry for all of the posts, but I'm (obviously) obsessing. The cramps were strong, but they only lasted about 1/2 an hour and AF hasn't shown. Twiddling my thumbs...

Just poking my head in to see how everyone is doing. :) Today is CD10 and I had some strange cramping this morning. It seems way too early for O pains (especially since I usually O around CD18-19) but I've never had random cramps before. Very weird. But, no EWCM so I'm sure it was nothing.

Okay, my temps are a little strange this cycle. FF put my O at CD30, but I had a major temp drop at 5DPO, well below my coverline and it has stayed low for the past two days. FF still has me as Oing despite my temps and fertile CM after O. Is FF just that off or is their a glimmer of hope for me? I know that 5DPO is early for an implantation dip and that would be a major dip, so I probably have not O'd yet, but any interpretations would be appreciated.
ShelbyMay
08-28-2005, 11:11 PM
Rachel, I could be wrong, but my guess is that you haven't O'd yet. I once O'd on CD44, and then this cycle it was something like CD19. I hope yours gets straightened out soon!
OK I've been sitting here watching everyone hopeing good thing will happen and this am my temp went up a bit 98.1 good sign? hoping so I have again not had any signs or symptoms but DH did make a comment on my BB's the otehr night when we went swimming... "hey are your BB BIgger?" HUmm hope so because that would be a sign..... LOL the only thing I can say I've had is sore NP's but that happened last cycle and nothing... It's what 12 day's past O and I have not tested should I or just wait till firday when AF is to show?

Shelby I put in another high temp this morning and it changed O date to CD 16, which is more in line with past charts, but CD 14 would have worked better in terms of timing. Guess our suspicions were right!
Threadmistress, you may move me to waiting to O. Not sure if/when I am going to test however, since FF keeps changing to O date and it seems our timing was off this month given the inconsistencies/changes in the chart!

Jodylovesscotty - Sorry about AF :(
jnshanna - YAY! A positive OPK :) Hope the 2ww flies by for you!
ShelbyMay - Don't give up yet!!

gator97 - It good to hear that your feeling good after the lap. I hope that the Dr. is able to bring you some good news regarding your adenomyosis. I can't even imagine what you are going through :(
Bellefior - I would go with CD 16 or 17 too. Sometimes I think FF is smoking a little too much crack :D
Ilovemygeek - :( I agree with ShelbyMay... Your chart is looking a lot like mine initially did after going off the pill, with the hormones going every which way.
I don't doubt I've missed people-- so I apologize-- good luck to all of those testing!
As for me-- CD 7. WOO! I have my ultrasound on Thursday-- I guess so my Dr. can tell if I'm about to O or not? I have no idea. I guess that's about right since I started Clomid on CD 1.
