~ There was a thread about this on the WC, but I really don't want to have to find it!!~

Finally the Eastern States (yay) are being added to the FACT bill/law (i'm not sure what you call it).

*Has anyone used the Annual Report website Annual Credit Report site (https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index) to get their credit reports?

*Can you do the staggered report requesting through that site, or to do that do you have to request it from the actual Credit Reporting Company?

*Is requesting one every 4 months (the stagger method) the best way, or should you just do it all every 12 months?

*Lastly, I'm confused about the Credit Report vs Credit Score thing? Will your credit score not come on the free report? Should we pay to get our Score atleast 1 time, or will we be able to tell looking at our credit report that we would have a low score. Every time I have requested something that required looking at my credit, I'm always told I have good credit. However, could my score be low while a brief look at my credit be good?

*Can you do the staggered report requesting through that site, or to do that do you have to request it from the actual Credit Reporting Company? You have to request the "free annual report" on that website

*Is requesting one every 4 months (the stagger method) the best way, or should you just do it all every 12 months? It all depends....if you have never checked it, you might want to pull all three....I have a credit monitoring service so I will probably stagger

The credit score does NOT come with the free report--the purpose of the report is to check for identify theft...you probably don't need your score unless you are going to look int purchasing something...I think you definatly need the the range of your score, but not necessary to pull more than once a year
