Is is bad that we aren't going to be able to do a limobus? We were going over our finances this past weekend. We had a limobus booked and really realized we could free up a little more money. Now my FH and I don't want to drive so we were thinking of getting a limo for just us $250 versus over $600 for our limobus. We love and appreciate our wedding party very much, but I just don't think we can afford to do this for everyone. I feel bad about it, but at the same time I really can't stress over what eveyone thinks. Am I wrong?

You're just fine. Looking back DH and I realized we really didn't need one and we wish we had saved that money for our honeymoon. :)

FH and I haven't really talked about it yet, but I sincerely doubt we'll have a limo or limobus. As you say, it's just hard to justify the cost when there are so many other things to spend money on!

We didn't have one either. For pretty much the same reason - to get one big enough for everyone was just too pricey.
We rode from the church to reception with a mix of guests and wedding party people in one of the shuttle vans the hotel provided for free. :D

They're fun, but I agree with everyone else--save the money for your honeymoon. Your wedding party will understand.

Thanks for the replies ladies. I want to save some of that for our honeymoon too. I mean the money we save can get a an excursion or two in the Bahamas.

Or, you could reserve a few cars with Enterprise for the day :) They do have luxury cars, as well as big ol' honking SUVs :)

We didn't rent a limo and it wasn't a problem at all. We also didn't rent any cars, because that would have cost as much as getting a limo!
It was easy to figure out logistics - really no big deal. You are spending so much time with your BMs, family & DH that a few minutes in seperate cars isn't an issue.
we only rented one for us. actually, almost the entire wedding party didn't want to go in the limo and said they wanted to drive with their own family. why spend money and force people to take transportation they don't really want to use?

I don't think you need a fancy car at all. Save the money and decorate your car, and all your bridal party cars and that will be just as much fun! You can have a friend "chaufeur" you and drive your car for you!

We're not doing the limo thing either. My mother drives a Mercedes-Benz E320 ... that's fancy enough to get me from the church to the reception ... I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a 15 minute ride. Also -- we are leaving the reception in B's Dodge Durango. :p

Rebjc: I think we are going to get one just for the two of us. I'm not trying to be selfish but we already put down a $150 deposit that I can't get back so instead of taking a loss on that we are just gonna pay another $65 to get a small one for us.
I actually emailed all my BM's about it and they are all fine with it. In fact they took it better that I thought. Maybe they didn't want to be altogether in the limo.
Thanks again for all of your advise ladies.
