Welcome April and May 2008 Mommies!
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k269/lp_becky/baby3da7.jpg
Who we are: A group of women who were due in April and May 2008. Some of us had our babies in March, April, May, and June. But we don't discriminate! :p
What we talk about: Anything and everything, from our growing babies to our personal problems. There really is no such thing as "TMI."
Why: Because we can, and because it's nice to know there are other women out there who might be going through the exact same thing you are.
If you weren't a member of the April or May 2008 Mommies pregnancy group but would like to join here, feel free! If you would like to, post the following information in red:

Nicholas' party is tomorrow, (bday today). We've already gave him his presents (just some little things). My mom and dad brought him his present from them a big ride on Thomas the train (it is powered like a power wheel and has it's own track)! To say he was excited is an understatement!

I know, IrishEyes, this is how I feel, too!!
MrsS - Hope Nicholas had a nice party!
Bridget was just diagnosed on Monday with allergies - poor girl didn't stand a chance as I have a terrible history with allergies - but I was hoping she'd escaped it like my older DD. Unfortunately, older DD was ALSO diagnosed on Monday with seasonal allergies - we'd had her tested at 18 months for food allergies, and she has none. But apparently they're both allergic to pollen and have hayfever, etc. Lucky girls! So now we have in the house Children's Claritin for Bridget, regular Claritin for Becca, and Allegra for me. Fun fun! But hopefully this means that Bridget's nose will stop running like crazy, at least.

Our ped didn't even officially 'diagnose' the boys, just gave us a thumbs up on children's claritin for seasonal allergies. My DH also has them badly, and Carson appears to be more strongly affected than Brody. I guess if I did an HSA, I'd have to get a note from the doctor for those OTC meds.

Oh, "diagnose" is just my word. :) She just told us to use Claritin, too, that's pretty much it. Though I have been thinking of taking them to an allergist now, just to check on things thoroughly, and for insurance purposes as well.

Sorry to hear about the allergies, twinnyme and IrishEyes. :(
Not too much is new here. We spent last Thursday through Monday with my parents, and Maddie was spoiled as usual. She was also really "off" in the sleep department. When we are at their house or my parents are here, Maddie wakes up extra early (one day was 6 a.m. when she usually sleeps until 7:30) and always goes to bed late. Thankfully I have her back on track after two days, but she's been one crabby you-know-what in the afternoon. Today it's finally sunny and 60 (after an April filled with rain and temps in the 30s, 40s and low 50s), so we'll be outside all afternoon. Hopefully that will help.
Between the two girls, I feel like I get no computer time, which I guess is OK. Every time I open it when Macy is around, she's banging on the keyboard, and Maddie wants to sit on my lap so I can't type. Actually, I just had to shoo her away as I was typing that. I told her to watch Fresh Beat Band (one of her favorites) and I'd snuggle with her when it was over. All I want is 20 minutes!!
Funny you brought up allergies Twinnyme and Irish. I want to talk to our ped about this at Cooper's 3 yr appt. For us it's not the runny nose it's the coughing and coughing and oh.my.god the coughing! All night long (thankfully not waking him up too much, but waking him up between 5-6am for the day) and to the point where he is gagging himself. We run the humidifier, prop him up on pillows for less drainage, I even started giving him Hyland's cough syrup (which has dosing instructions for 2 yr and up) but nothing seems to work. At this point, I think it's time to stop treating the cough and treat the allery.
Another thing I want to ask about is his refusal to eat more than a few bites at dinner. His daycare reports show a good amount is eaten at breakfast and lunch. But I want to see how is weight shakes out at this appt, and then ask what I should concentrate on if he's only going to eat a small amount- push protein, push fats, push calcium????
MrsSpencer

E&O- Nicholas is like that (only eats small amounts), but he does that at every meal, so I just give him less food more often. He won't sit and eat an entire meal, he'll eat a few bites and done. So I put it in the fridge and he'll say he's hungry an hour later, I heat it up and give it to him again. It takes about 2 times of this, and he'll eat the whole plate, but not all the time. I can't eat a big meal either, I'd rather eat small ones often, so it isn't a big deal for us.

reading along...
Interesting note relating to allergies, I had jake's blood taken at his 3 yr check up b/c of his peanut and SEVERE sesame allergy. They did a complete work up (as opposed to last yr when they tested for nuts and sesame based on the reaction i noticed). Apparently he is allergice to M I L K!!!!?? and Eggwhites! wtf? he has those things all the time so i'll keep giving them to him but it makes me think that maybe during those colic days he was having a reaction to my breast milk and the milk-based formula which is why is was so 'bad' for 6 months. I never did try Alimentum. I can't help but wonder.
His peanut allergy is downgraded to Category 1 and the Sesame allergy remains severe. Just thought this was interesting.
Party was fun. will post some cute pics.

We had Kade's 3rd low key birthday party today. We had a friend from his old daycare, a friend from the Montessori and our next door neighbor over. I made hot dogs and a chocolate cake and they just played together. We then went down to the park as they were having the trout derby and the kids fished. Was a fun day. How did three years fly so quickly!
Sorry to hear about the allergies. I used to have bad hayfever, but since I've moved here to the US that has gone. I also don't have asthma anymore.

New thread and in the big kids section! It's gone so fast. Looking through the first page we don't hear from so many any more, which is a shame.
E. is going well, and her birthday is Saturday! We're giving her a balance bike and a couple of little things. I'm thinking of holding off on the doll we were planning to give her until Christmas - I just feel like my kids have so many things. I'd kind of like to pare back a little. She is also becoming very determined on what she will wear. It's really tedious. She has to wear certain shoes or hair bows (or no bows), and the favourite colour is pink, which means she will often try to incorporate something that doesn't really go with what she is wearing. Today she insisted on taking her new twin doll stroller to school to pick up DS1. That made it really easy for me to get out DS2's stroller, then the doll stroller, and then have to get us all across traffic to the school gate!
Cute pic MrsC
Sorry to hear about the allergies - they are an epidemic in Australia. Pretty much every kindergarten, preschool and childcare class will have one kid allergic to nuts at a minimum.
I'll post an updated pic of E. once the party is over (fairy party - she is *so* excited)

Hope E. had a good party, anemone!
Allergies - for us, thankfully, it's just hayfever/pollen. I brought Bridget back to the doctor yesterday because she developed a hacking cough now on top of everything else, and developed a fluctuating fever yesterday (the highest was 101). While there, I inquired about seeing an allergist but our ped. did not seem to think it necessary, to just treat with Claritin. (We had seen another ped. in the practice last Monday and while she was great, I hadn't even thought to ask about seeing an allergist.) He did suggest giving the girls their Claritin at night since it is a 24-hour dose and therefore the biggest part of the dose would kick in in the morning, when they need it for the day. Hadn't even thought of that - I had been giving it in the morning. So just wanted to pass that along if it helps anyone. We'll see if it makes a difference.

Nicholas had his 3 year wbv yesterday. He's down to 29 pounds and is 36.5 inches tall. He's barely in the 25th percentile for both height and weight they said. He was almost 31 pounds a month ago :(. She isn't worried he's on his own growth curve, he is just a little guy.
He is referred to get a hearing test and a speech evaluation. She said he doesn't pronounce words right so we are going to get him evaluated.

MrsS - hope Nicholas's tests go well and give you a sense of how to proceed!
AFM, well, we have some surprising news: I am pregnant with #3, and due in late January. It was a complete surprise, and I'm still adjusting to the idea. (I found out last Friday, and it was a pretty busy weekend, with family visiting and all.) We are happy about it, but pretty shocked, and still adjusting to the fact that we'll soon be a family of five!

Um, let's just say we were preventing sporadically with a prevention failure one night. :) DH and I were both pretty complicit in not preventing appropriately and I think in some ways it was because both of us really wanted this. We're still adjusting, of course, but we're both very happy about it. In the back of our minds, we both wanted a third child but we never officially talked about it.
I do recall your being on the fence about a third....

Just got back from the ER, Nicholas fell on his hand and screamed and screamed for a half hour. He was crying about his hand for the next half hour, that's when we decided to take him in. They didn't find anything on the xray, but the radiologist hasn't looked at it (just md's I think). They will call me tomorrow if they find the fracture they are sure is there. They sent him home in a splint :(. He refuses/can't use that hand so they wanted to be safe and but a splint on. He has to follow up with the ped monday..I'm so tired.

Thanks, Dettes - hearing "what great news!" from a mother of 4 is reassuring! :)
MrsS - sorry to hear about Nicholas's hand - hope he's better soon. My nephew who is 8 was visiting a couple of weekends ago - my parents brought him with them - and within a 1/2 hour of their arrival, he fell at a playground and broke his wrist. Same thing - splint with a follow-up at an orthopedist when they got home to NY!
Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or was ever int he same boat with an older child...
Cooper seems to not care about using the potty anymore. It started back around Memorial Day weekend, he had an accident every day of that long weekend. And now weeks later, he will have 1-2 accidents per week, where he just doesn't tell anyone has to go and pees himself. I think he just doesn't want to break away from whatever he is doing. Very frustrating! (and it doesn't even include the times he doesn't "tuck" himself properly and pee dribbles on him)
We've tried taking him/making him go to the bathroom more often, but if it's not on his schedule and he doesn't want to sit he will cry and yell. As incentive we've told him that if he pees in his pants during the day he cannot watch a movie/TV before bed. We talk about this each morning before I leave daycare, but still 1-2x per week, he does it again!

Oh E&O, we are having the same thing with Kade. Perfectly potty trained and now just this last week he has started peeing himself again off and on. We will ask him if he needs to go, he says no, then 5 seconds later he pees himself. And what is most frustrating is when he just pees when we are right there! We have also used the "you can not watch x program" on him but then when he pees himself he says, "now I can't watch x program" and thats it. I am interested to hear what others have to recommend.

Sorry that you and E&O are dealing with PT regression. I hope it gets better soon for both of you. I have to fight sometimes for Bridget to go potty - she'll insist she doesn't have to go but then when I finally get her there - she definitely needed to. It's frustrating and I think it definitely is because she doesn't want to stop what she's doing. Luckily, we've had few accidents, though. She's actually asking to wear underwear to bed now, but I want to wait a bit longer - I don't want to deal with wet sheets if I don't have to. I keep telling her that once she wakes up dry for a whole week we'll do it, but then I forget to keep track. She IS dry most mornings, but the pull-ups at night are easy, so I've been lazy!
Bridget is doing the summer reading program at the library this year - her first time! So exciting. She's gotten a few prizes so far. Yesterday we had a day just the two of us as my older DD stayed in NYC with my sister for a few extra days (we were all there for the holiday weekend) and will be coming home this weekend, and it was so much fun. Today she's at school again, but I'm glad we had yesterday at least just the two of us. It's been a while, since school ended, AND it was nice to have the whole day/evening that way!

I forgot to mention that we're also having a girl - I did some early testing because of my age this time, and we found out a couple of weeks ago that baby is a girl, too! Three girls. DH may be getting that male dog even sooner than we think. :)
Also, as of this week, Bridget is now night trained, yay! DH was on vacation this week. We did some day trips, then went to a beach in Maine for a few nights, and even in the hotel, she did great. She has been day trained for about a year before being night trained - just like big sis.

That's awesome, twinnyme, that B is night trained!
I still cannot get DS to tell us when he needs to go potty with enough time to make it there. We have a lot of times where he pees on the floor next to the potty or pees as he's pulling his pants down. Also, forget pooping on the potty. He goes in his pull-up and then tells us he needs to sit on the potty. So frustrating! On a good note, though, he's woken up from overnight several times dry! :) I think he'll be night trained before he is day trained.

We aren't yet completely night trained. He'll go 4 nights dry and then have 2 nights where the nighttime pull-up is slightly full. When he goes > 7 nights dry, I'll think about trying nights with underwear. When his older brother potty trained, he was also night trained pretty much right away, but I know each kid is different.

Gosh, we have been so lucky in the PTing department. Maddie has been day and night trained for over a year; the first day we put her in undies, we also put her in undies overnight. She has actually never had a night accident, even when she was first PTing. Actually, though, that was why I decided to PT her -- she had been waking up dry most days since about 18 months. That's pure luck!
So who is going to preschool for the first time this fall?! Maddie will go on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-10:30 a.m. I am looking forward to it, and I think she will love it. She will have a few friends in the class, and I hope that doesn't become a problem. I've already done some school shopping, but it's mostly fall dresses and skirts, because that is all the child will wear. She still has a sassy streak, but for the most part is a really good girl. And she's damn adorable, if I do say so myself!

Congrats to all the pregnant mamas! I've tried joining you all but no success yet. DH left for Afghanistan in June and will be there until December, so getting DD a little brother or sister won't happen anytime soon.
PT: DD has been day-trained for about 9-10 months now and night-trained since roughly her 3rd birthday. Maybe a little later. We're in panties full-time. Yea!
Preschool: DD is going twice weekly this fall for the first time. I need a break since I don't get one in the evenings for now. She's in a program even this summer where she's in "school" one day a week (today, in fact; better get up and at 'em!). She loves her school now, but I worry about the new school she'll start in a couple of weeks as she doesn't really know anyone there. She's at our church for this summer and thus knows some of the other kids. I'm switching her to a church closer to home for the fall.

Hope DH stays safe in Afghanistan, coquelicot.
Hope the girls enjoy their preschool experience! And that you enjoy your shopping, MrsBecky!
Bridget has gone to daycare 3 days a week since the beginning, and is now at 2 full days a week at her preschool. She'll continue 2 full days year-round.
We have a new thing over here. She has been in her bed since right around her birthday, but twice in the last week she has come down the stairs around 9:45/10:00 for whatever reason. She is very easy to get back to bed, and last night, I brought her to go potty just to prevent any accidents (though she's only had that one accident since she was night trained about 10 days ago), it's just odd. I remember DD1 doing this for the first week after she got in her bed, and it was usually to go to the bathroom. But the stairs worry me (even though the hall light is on), so we started telling her to just call for us if she needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night (though the bathroom is easily accessible from the girls' room) so we didn't have to worry about her falling down the stairs! I guess if this continues we'll do the same with Bridget, but for now I'm chalking it up to a couple of flukes - I hope!

I'll be starting DS on a second year of preschool in September. He'll have school everyday M-F, but it maybe only lasts 30 minutes. I'm using something new with him this year - Horizons Preschool - that focuses on math and phonics but still touches on science, Bible, and art.
Cooper is so unpredictable when it comes to night training. He'll chug a huge glass of milk before bed and wake up stone cold dry. But the next night we limit drinks and make sure he pees before bed and his pull up is soaked. So who knows??? Part of me wants to go cold turkey and just do undies at night, but I think he's such a sound sleeper, it wouldn't really wake him.
But his daytime accidents have tapered off. It's mostly a small spot of pee in his undies because he waits until the last minute to go. Now the only time his clothes get sent home wet is because he had a "bad tuck". Boys are gross!;)
I WOH so we do daycare, not preschool. But we are changing daycares in the next few weeks so that will be a new adventure. Our current daycare is not in our school district so for DD to get transportantion to K, we had to move to a daycare in our district. It was such a process to find a daycare that worked for us, but we did and I'm really happy with our new choice!

Potty training, ugh. We WERE completely night trained - for weeks. And then DH and I had a wedding to go to and though we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away, Bridget has untrained at night. We have had THREE night-time accidents this week, and I am DONE. I told her this morning we're going back into pull-ups tonight. We had given the ILs a choice of pull-ups or underwear for bed. And they chose pull-ups - which I completely understood and expected - and worried that it would change things. And it did. Sigh. Oh well. We'll get back there again. But for now, I just cannot deal with laundry and wet bedsheets one more time!
She has also been a bear lately - lots of tantrums. Huge bedtime meltdown on Monday. So we're re-instituting naps. I had gotten rid of them for a while because SHE gave them up and I just gave in (eventually), but she clearly needs them again.
OTOH, she is SOOOO imaginative these days and it is so much fun to see. I love this blossoming. Last night she asked what I consider her first serious "real" question - why does the grass stay outside? She is funny and cute when she is well-rested. Everywhere we go where we haven't been in a while, people are commenting on how BIG she is now. And she sure wants to be - she keeps saying "When I'm 6" (like big sister is) she will lose her teeth, wipe (her bottom!), and go to school. I tell her not to rush things - well, except for the wiping her own bottom thing!!

This is what I find with DD. She is night trained (with occasional accidents), but when she does have one, she doesn't initially wake up. She will wake up an hour or two later, so she'll be absolutely saturated, with a wet bed cover as well, as it's all soaked everywhere.

You must be really looking forward to her going somewhere for a few hours. I can't imagine only now sending DD somewhere - she loves the social interaction so much.
cute pics twinnyme. She is looking a lot like her big sister I think! Hope the pregnancy is going well?
DD had a bit of night time regression as well from the PTing, like you have had Twinnyme after we got back from our trip to Fiji. I had put her in pullups at night while there (didn't want to deal with any accidents in a hotel), and she was dry every morning. We got home and I had three WEEKS of her wetting the bed almost every night. I was so over it, but I'm glad I persisted, as she has been dry the past week, so I think we're back on track.
DD is so tall now. She was wearing her size 4 Summer clothes when we were in Fiji, and they fit quite nicely. She is very tall and skinny, and coupled with her very advanced verbal skills (no idea where she gets that from, ha ha), she is often mistaken for a 4 or 5 year old. People get a shock when I say she just turned 3. She is asking a lot of difficult questions ATM. I have been explaining the concept of jail to her, the legal system and what a law is and what police do, where clouds come from, how water turns into steam in a kettle and on and on. I try to explain things factually and simply so that she can understand (I remember my mother telling me things that weren't factual and believing them for a long time)
I can't remember if I've posted a picture of her for a while? At any rate, here is one I took before ballet lesson a month or so ago at home, she has her hair back in a little ponytail

She was so petite (but proportionately tall and skinny) and had such high verbal skills that it was very difficult for people to determine her age. I started her in kindergarten at 3, and that really started throwing people for a loop because she was reading. They were always in shocked when I told them how old she was. BTW, what a cute picture!

We are starting DD in preschool in September. I think she is really excited about it! She is such a social kid that I don't think she will have any problems with it. We just got back from Kauai the other day and she is bummed to be back because she made so many friends there. She hardly ever sat with us on the beach. She would go from family to family meeting all of the kids and parents. :)
She has been potty trained since Jan or Feb but has had 2 pee accidents in the last 3 days. I am hoping it's just a fluke.

Funny story, when we were out yesterday and Nicholas caught sight of a princess tiara and put it on. I have no problem at all with this, and he walked proudly through Target with his pink tiara on his head. I got some strange looks, some not nice ones, some people just smiled. A woman told him that crowns were for girls, he held onto his crown and looked at her and said, “I’m a pretty little boy princess”, and walked along his merry little way.
He ended up getting the crown, a Cars toy, and a Mermaid Barbie.
I love how he’s not afraid to be himself, and I have no problem letting him.

Anemone - E is so cute! Love her outfit. How is she liking ballet?
Summerbride2005 - hope DD likes preschool!
MrsSpencer - good for you! I remember once being in our pediatrician's waiting room, and there was a dad with a little girl, who was telling me his wife is so excited because she was having fun finally shopping for girl things for Christmas, like a play kitchen etc. I asked if he had other children, and he had two older boys. I said, oh, they didn't have a play kitchen? He looked at me like I had two heads, it was very strange. I always remember that. Play kitchens and toys like that are pretend toys that help children learn, whether or not those children are boys or girls. Bridget loves cars and stuff and I just put a remote-control car on her Christmas list the other day.
Bridget is doing well. She started a gymnastics class on Wednesday and really liked it. She listened SO well and did such a great job, I was very proud of her. Still untrained at night, still imaginative and asking serious and smart questions, which I love!

MrsS - good for you. I think it's ridiculous when people get all funny about gender stereotyping. You need to get them what they're interested in. Like twinnyme said, pretend play is pretend play. DS1 has a crown (although not a tiara), and also had a play kitchen.
twinnyme - I bet Bridget sleeps well on the nights she does gymnastics. My DD would love that - she's such a monkey!

Whoa, it's been FOREVER since I've been in here! Congrats to MrsS and Twinnyme on the new babies! :)
So what's new with everyone? I can't believe our kids are going to be 4 soon! Not a whole lot is going on here. Maddie is still a wonderful big sister to Macy (most of the time). She loves to wear dresses, have her fingernails polished and get her hair fixed. She really is a girlie-girl. (I don't think Macy will be quite as much. She's more interested in wearing her "Packers! Touchdown!" shirt than skirts or dresses.) Maddie got a great report at school when we had conferences in January, and today when we dropped off her Valentines, she recognized the names of EVERYONE (13 kids) in her class and told me which name was on which bag. I was amazed that she recognized all of them and thought that was pretty cool. :) On Sunday we are headed to a water park resort with some friends for three nights. We have a three-bedroom condo, so we are all looking forward to having some adult beverages after the kids go to bed. ;)

BridalLace~I responded over in the PT thread, but thought I'd add a few things here. DS was where your son is just a few weeks ago. He refused to poop on the potty and peeing only happened when he felt like it. It was so, so frustrating. I wanted to ditch the pull-ups, but DH said no due to the potential mess. Then out of nowhere he started talking about going to the big kid class at church (our nursery runs until a child's 4th birthday), and I told him he can't go if he doesn't start peeing AND pooping on the potty. After a couple of weeks of accidents and frustration, something just clicked. Now we've been accident free (with the exception of one night time incident) for nearly 3 weeks! *knock on wood* He'll either get to move up on the 31st or 8th, depending on what the nursery leader wants to do with his birthday being so close to the first weekend. :) All that to say, you might really consider the preschool enrollment you mentioned in the other thread. It may be just the incentive he needs. In the meantime, try to stay positive. I know all to well how frustrating this can be. I still don't feel like I can call my little man PT'ed, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Life is crazy here, and DS1 is by far my most energetic, rambunctious child! I can't believe he'll be 4 in a little over a week! We have an Angry Birds party planned for him next weekend. Then he'll be moving up to the big kid class at church. He's already finished up preschool (in February) and is now doing some K-1 level stuff just to keep him busy while big sis does school. The past few weeks, I've seen such a change in him. He's really getting into his big brother role, and DS2 isn't so scared of him and his energy anymore! Yay! It's so fun seeing them play together now.
How's everyone else these days?

It has been ages since I have been on here too! Things are going well here. Kade is doing great and in bigger news is going to be a big brother. We are pg with number two and will find out in 2 weeks what we are having. Very excited but daunting at he same time as the stable routine we have now is going to be changed when baby comes. I can't believe he will be four at the beginning of May. Time has flown. Hope you are all well!

I never go on CC anymore but i've been having an insane time at work so i am 'killing' time. How is everyone. Jake will be 4 in a month.i can't believe it. He is one tough guy - my tougher boy of the two for sure. We are all doing well and hope you are all great too!

Hope everyone's kiddos had or are having fabulous birthdays! We had a princess party for DD and invited 11 of her closest friends. Well, 8 of her friends and 3 siblings. Plus 2 babies. No chaos there, right? The girls were actually very well-behaved and tame for there being so many of them.
The week after DD's birthday, I found out that after a long time of TTC, I'm expecting baby #2! Tentative due date is New Year's Eve!

Wow, coquelicot! Congrats!
The party sounds like it was fun. We don't have kids birthday parties until they're in elementary school. We're planning a family cookout/joint birthday party for DS1 and DS2 on Memorial Day weekend.

Congratulations, coquelicot! Happy and healthy 9 months!
All is good here. Still adjusting to life with 3 - the one who has gotten the brunt of it is Bridget, who spent the first couple of months with her hands over her ears to block out the baby yelling. :) Things are much better now, and the older girls really are having fun with Allison now.
Bridget is doing great overall. She wrote her name almost fully for the first time yesterday, she is very into counting and numbers, she is enjoying gymnastics and being outside more and more, she is getting great at dressing herself (finally!) and being a "big girl." She is a great kid. We've had some acting out, which I'm chalking up to the baby and turning 4 in combo, but we seem to be (mostly) past that, thankfully.
We had her birthday party at one of those inflatable party places in late April. It was a bird-themed party because she LOVES birds. She had a fun time!

Congrats, coquelicot! H&H 9 months to you!
We celebrated DS 4th birthday with an Angry Birds party. He is majorly addicted to the game! It was mostly family, but he did have 1 friend come. We played Angry Birds bowling, toss game, and let the boys run around and play.
Here, we'll be wrapping preschool up in a couple of weeks. Then we have a busy summer planned and kindergarten starting in the fall!

Nicholas had an Avengers Birthday party and he loved it! He is doing well, still in speech class, not one ear infection, and just a sweet sweet little boy all around. He dotes on his sister, picks up his toys, has never thrown anything in the way of a temper tantrum. He sleeps finally! It only took 3.5 years, but he is sleeping through the night when there aren't nightmares. He's still a tiny thing at just under 35lbs. especially if you look at his 7 month old sister who is 18lbs (or was a month ago who knows what she is now!).

Checking in.. i'm having a slow day at work and i figured i'd log in!
We are leaving next week for a second honeymoon for our 10 yr anniv (NO KIDS!!!) to Hawaii. We fly first classand are doing Kauai (5 nights) Oahu (2 nights) and the Four seasons in Lanai for 2 nights. I guess mentally i'm already there. My kids are pretty self sufficient so when my parents and mother in law alternate watching them in our house i expect no problems and i'm sure everythign will go smoothly (yeah right). I'm leaving a 3 page word document on things that they need to know! However, my MIL, i'm sure, will be relentless and nervous and track us down every chance she gets. I can't believe she raised 2 boys. ok, that was mean.
My little boys keep asking for a sibling.. my husband isn't quite there but i'd consider it! My ovaries are running out of time as I just turned 36 and my OB told me a few months back that i should close up shop in the next two years. I'm definately undecided b/c we had such a rough go with J. I guess my husband has the final say!
Congrats on all the new additions and pregnancies. Our kids are growing so quickly.
