DH and I are going to SF this weekend for the 49ers home opener (he's a huge fan, I love the Cowboys...this is what we call taking one for the team).
We have all day Saturday to bum around. Any suggestions? DH went to law school at Hastings, so he knows the area well, but hasn't lived there in 10 years, so any suggestions are appreciated. We talked about going to Golden Gate Park, but that's about it. Suggestions on dinner places are also appreciated! :p

If you are interested in italian food for dinner, I HIGHLY recommend Tommaso's in North Beach. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall place that is beyond delicious. I recommend the caesar salad, lasagna, and any pizza. YUM!
They open at 5pm, 4 on Sundays and they do NOT take reservations, but the food is worth the wait!

Oh yes - I should add that the restaurant is also right across the street from the Hustler Club. If you have a long wait for a table, you can head across the street for some classic North Beach entertainment!

I like the ferry building for browsing & The Slanted Door for dinner. Sometimes we do a picnic in GG park (my ILs love picnics).
The 49ers - ouch. ;)

Thanks, Laura!
Don't even get me started on the 49ers. *sigh* He's had season tix for 3 years now and I go to *1* game per year. That's my limit. I really hope they stop sucking soon so he can sell the other tickets and recoup some of the losses over the years! ;)

LOL! I do what I can. This year seems even worse for some reason. Uggh.
but I am looking forward to wandering SF with DH and eating a full meal without interruption. :)
