I had my dad and my son escort me down the aisle - the first time I got married I didn't have my dad escort me and I think he was disappointed so this time I made sure I did it right. Philip's kids escorted him down the aisle. Here is a composite pic of my dad greeting us when the trolley got to the hotel, Philip and the boys having a drink in the bar (if I ever wanted to have the marriage nullified I could use this as evidence, apparently it is illegal to drink prior to the wedding ceremony), Philip and his kids and me and my dad and son:

I was married in a Catholic church early in the morning. Our public ceremony was held outside, later in the day, officiated by the same priest. So my "here comes the bride" is outdoors.

My dad and I were both so emotional, which is funny because my dad is NEVER emotional. He was trying really hard to keep it together. My bouquet was also too high and lopsided, although everyone warned me beforehand. Hey, I was too busy enjoying the moment to remember!

We decided to meet before the ceremony. They set it up so it was just him at the altar, and the only other people in there with us was the videographer and the photographer. It was the awesomest thing we did!! It was way more relaxed and we got time to spend together, just the two of us for a few minutes. :D
