Did anyone see the trailer for King Kong (after Fear Factor tonight)? It looks pretty good.

LOVE Jack Black. LOVE Naomi Watts. Not so sure about the dinosaurs. Did anyone else think this all looked a little too "Jurassic Park"?

I was thinking the same thing about it looking Jurassic Park-ish, but I loved all the JP movies. :)

LOVED IT!!! Peter Jackson is a genious and you couldn't have asked for a better cast! It's three hours long so PLEASE don't take your children and let them talk loudly through the entire thing. There is nothing I hate more than parents who take their kids to inappropriate movies and then proceed to let their children serve as a distraction the entire movie! Arg! But anyway, go see this movie and take the tissue!

But seriously, it's PG-13 for a reason. Don't take the kids!

I saw this last night and LOVED it and of course, cried like a baby. But the action when they were on the island was phenomenal, all the creatures and suspense, highly recommended!!

I posted this earlier today:

I saw King Kong this weekend and thought it was awesome!

It's really suspenseful & action packed in parts and really emotional in other parts. King Kong looked great- very realistic effects. Naomi Watts did an incredible job as Ann Darrow. Wonderful acting from her and she just looks the part so perfectly. It's a big, big blockbuster kind of movie and really worth going to see! I definitely enjoyed it.

I guess I'm the contrary poster here...I didn't care for it much.

It wasn't BAD...not like The 13th Warrior bad. But it was OK.

Here are my issues:

*I couldn't really get into the characters. It's not that I didn't like them, but I was just sort of neutral about them because there really wasn't too much character development.

*I thought that the movie asked the audience to extend their imagination a little too much. Now, c'mon. I KNOW it is a movie about a huge monkey (really it's a gorilla) and no where did I think that it might be "realistic", but that being said, some of events (one too many escapes; the military shooting rockets into buildings...) where still TOO much. IMHO.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts! I'm by no means a professional critic. To each is own, right? That's why pork rinds and brussell sprouts are still around...:D

I thought it was great, and I cried my eyes out. DS & DD enjoyed it as well. They're 13 and 10 1/2.

I thought it was okay. I loved the acting but I thought it was a little too Jurassic Park-ish

It was okay.
DH was upset I wasn't crying at the end. I was just so excited that it was over because it was SO long.
