My hair is fairly long (about 6 inches past my shoulders), fine and kind of straight/wavy. It used to be stick straight until I had DD, but since then the top is still straight but the underside is pretty wavy. I'm having HUGE problems with tangles in the wavy underside. I use conditioner in the shower and then a detangler (the baby kind) on damp hair. I've even used the detangler on dry hair but that seems to make it better long enough to get the tangles brushed out, but as soon as it dries, it makes my hair feel dry and tangle even worse. I don't blow dry my hair, so I don't use any other products. Does anyone have any recommendations or should I just cut my hair shorter?

Do you trim your hair regularly (at minimum every 3 months, but you may need to do it every 2 months)? Split ends will make a hair much more tangly than healthier hair.

Hmm...that's probably the problem. I've only gotten it cut twice in the last 18 months or so. Maybe I need to cut a lot of the length off and then keep up with it better. Thanks for the advice!

I don't think you need to cut a ton off or anything, but I'd take probably ~3" off. If it's still more tangly than you'd like, take a couple more next time.
