Anyone watch Being Bobby Brown? I've caught snippets of it. Always the same show. Nothing to be proud of. I've heard rumors Bravo is going to order more episodes. Just wondering what you gals think.

Being Bobby Brown: high, loud, and living off his woman's money. KFed would be so proud.
Maybe the two of them should write a book?

I watch it...it's so sad. It's one of those shows that are so bad yet it's like watching a train wreck. You just can't keep your eyes off it.
Forget Bobo, can we talk about Whitney??? Jeez...I always used to think that she was so classy and nice, etc. Yeah right!! She is just....what is the word I am looking for?? Ghetto, trashy, classless??? I mean, the whole reunion thing after he came out from jail cos he hit her?? She looked so high.
And why does she always follow him around?? Leave him be?
And him? Always trying to live in his glory days...I mean, he walks around telling people he is Bobby Brown/Mr Whitney Houston, making a spectacle of himself. He is always drunk, high, loud and semi-obnoxious. Even his own daughter has no respect for him.
Ok, l think am done ranting.
It's just a shame to see 2 talented people acting up on National TV. So sad.

I am still mystefied how he even got INTO the industry.
He had thirty seconds of fame back in the Eighties.

Now, now ladies--Bobby Brown was in New Edition, who had no fewer than 6 top ten hits in the 1980's, as well as being a hit solo artist--My Perogative went to #1 in 1989.
So, he isn't successful NOW, but he certainly was THEN-and for more than 15 minutes.
I have yet to see them make any money--I mean, she hasn't even made an album in years, where does all their #$%#^%# money come from?

Msnicolea I totally agree - he was not someone who just had "15 minutes of fame". He was part of New Edition (l LOVED them) and released 2 really good albums.
That's what makes it so sad to see him like that.
DH and I were talking about it. I know she made millions but still? Where does all the money come from? Did you see him shopping for the camping trip? "I want 10 of those bikes and 200 fishing rods?" What the ??? I told DH that if they are not careful, they will end up like MC Hammer... :p

You know, I am almost ashmed of myself for not being totally disgusted by them now. At first I was, but as I have watched later episodes I have begun to think that 1. they both seem v. happy and surprisgingly functional as a couple that has been together and through as much as they have and 2. they also seem like v. normal - average people. So they drink, they smoke, they fight, then they make up, I don't know. I am glad to see how much affection Bobbi Kristina gets and how much they seem to love their kids. They aren't Nick & Jess - that is for sure - and like I said, I am almost ashamed to write this whole post but that is just my sense. There are many uninvolved hollywood type parents around, and that they seemed involved in all those kids lives indicates a lot of love to me. Now watch them go do something really stupid and make me look like a fool for writing this.

ITA with this. I love this show. No matter how dysfunctional to us they seem, they function well together and truly love each other. They act silly, they get mad, etc. I could go on and on, but I like the realness of the show.

I do agree with this statement--they really do seem to love each other.
I simply can't stop watching it--my husband is MORTIFIED. ;)

We don't watch it religiously or anything, but we're guilty too. Usually DH balks at anything Real World-esque, but even though Bobby is SAD sometimes, they are hilarious, and we find ourselves laughing at their silliness with each other because it's eeriely like our own on occasion. Notice I said ON OCCASION.
NOT like when they're camping and Bobby's trying desperately to get that stranger on the lake to let him take his jetski out for a ride and the stranger says, "How 'bout I take Whitney for a ride?" and Bobby says, "How bout I beat your ass?" or something similar. LOL
I don't like how they freely throw around the F-word in front of all the kids - but to each his own.

I've watched this show every week and can't stop myself. I usually just sit in front of the tv with my mouth hanging open, occasionally looking at my fiance in shock at some of the dumb things they do. I have to say that they def have a connection and deem to love each other. But my opinion of both of them has changed. I used to think Whitney was super classy & nice and Bobby a jerk. Now I see that Whitney has serious issues (drugs, major attitude, being super clingy and jealous, etc). Bobby has major issues as well but he is much more likable now that I've seen him on this show.
I also have to join those who stuck up for Bobby. While he may have blown all his own money and was never as big as Whitney he was definitely huge for a long time in the R&B world. From New Edition and then solo.

I watch the shows I normally catch it when they reair it 100 times on Bravo. My opinion of Bobby has actually changed I thought Whitney Houston was a lot different and had a higher opinion of her but after watching the show I actually think she is worse then he is.

ITA with this. I've been saying all along, that Whitney didn't need Bobby to "bring her down." She used to party (hard) with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, back in the day.
