Does anyone know if there's a cradle swing out there that plugs into the wall? Our Ocean Wonders swing is the only place DD will really sleep, but it's costing us a small fortune in batteries, and with me not working, we don't have any fortunes, small or otherwise! :(

The new swings in the store do plug in. I have an old one from 05 and my husband made it so it plugs into the wall. He bought a 6v adaptor and sodard it. Now we plug it in and dont have to use batteries.
I wouldnt have a clue how to do this but maybe your husband or nearest handyman could do it for you.
If not for 100 bucks you could buy a new swing that plugs in. I understand how expensive it is in batteries because my daughter use to sleep in hers all the time too.

We have the Rainforest one and it plugs in.
I read the Amazon reviews and there were quite a few about the motor burning out or not being strong enough--have you noticed that at all? Also, how is it stability-wise? DH is concerned about the wobble factor.
Thank you!

We were given the Papasan Starlight Cradle Swing (http://www.toystx.com/shop/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=352) and it plugs in and works great. It was given to us by someone who received it as a hand me down, so we are the third user and the motor works just fine. I think the newer version is a different color, but the same swing.
What about recharable batteries?

We have the FP Rainforest Cradle Swing and it plugs in and so far it works fine. If it's on level ground there's no issue with the wobbling.

We've tried those, but they just don't seem to drive the motor enough compared to regular batteries.

Hmm. Now to convince DH that even picking up a used one off CL will be cheaper than three more months worth of batteries. :p

Definitely check Craigslist. That's where we got our rainforest swing after the aquarium one died.

We've got the same thing - and believe it or not, my 18-month old still uses it!

Thank you!a
Not wobbly at all. And very, very sturdy. My 2.5yo climbs all over it all the time.
We did have to replace the motor for our second child to use it. We may use the swing a little more than usual. It's used for all naps until about two months and all nighttime sleep until 5 or 6 months, and I often forget to turn it off when I take the baby out. It was replaced under warranty by Fisher Price for free.
