question for you girls. DS will not let my DH put him to sleep at all. He is very particular about how he goes to sleep. Either the swing or the wrap upright that is it. Tonight I tried to put the wrap on DH but it is a size small and it was so tight DS was not happy which I cant blame him. At night he sleeps up against me which he has a hard time doing because of the reflux. You cannot cradle him at all he will scream which I think is reflux related but I am not sure.

So I am just curious if you are the only one who can put your DC to sleep or is this abnormal. I am not even nursing him to sleep he just wants me.

my ds still at 8 months only lets me put him to bed. Is he on meds for the reflux?

Kids get very stuck in routine (which is great for them). My 3.5yo prefers mommy to anyone else even still, but DH could definitely do it if I were gone. DD (1.5yo) also still prefers me - I think if DH would have been putting them both to bed (he helps but mommy is the last one to leave the room), they would prefer him over me as well...just as there are certain "jobs" only dads can do (or g'ma/g'pas). :) Perfectly normal - and will be for a while probably.

Yep, pretty normal. My DD is almost 11 months old and she won't let DH put her to sleep. I'm the one that usually does it, so she's used to how I do it.

mrsspencer-He is on reflux meds. He was on zantac and we switched because it wasnt working so well. Now he is on prilosec but it hasnt been 2 wks and I guess that is how long it takes to work. I am hoping once it kicks in he will like to be cradled etc. So did you ds only let you put him to sleep this young?

ellyn-Thanks for you response. I just thought he was too young to care who did it.

Pookieprincess-was she like that at 2 mos? I know dd didnt let dh put her to sleep but it was much older than 2 mos. He is also very particular he will only go to sleep in my sling upright.

yeap only me..I think it's okay..it just makes daddies feel bad I think. My little brother had reflux really bad and either they didn't have slings..or more than likely my parents couldn't afford it..and he could only sleep upright in his highchair. He was very attached to my mom also, ds had colic and I was his only way to sleep...dh didn't have the patience. Good luck to you, I hope the new meds work soon.

Yeah, even at 2 months. Part of it was at that point, she was fussy in the evenings and he wasn't patient enough with her. So she preferred me and still does.
