“It was the final straw when she said she wouldn’t take part unless she was a dead cert for the final — even after it was explained that wasn’t how the show worked,” the source said. “She was politely informed that NBC wouldn’t be following up their interest in her appearing.”

Geez, who's surprised by this? :rolleyes: She's also trying to get out of the gag order by writing a fiction book about a woman who marries a rock star but a lot of the details mirrors her marriage to Paul. Paul really made a mistake when he married that one!

Even the ever sensitive Donald Trump has issued a statement to ABC News criticizing the actress for failing to stand by her man; he then appeared on Access Hollywood, sneering: “So when he had plenty of money, she liked him, but after that, not as good, right?” Perhaps the worst zinger came from Newsweek, of all places, which titled its report WHAT SHOULD HAVE TIPPED ANNE HATHAWAY THAT HER EX-BOYFRIEND WAS BIG TROUBLE? A—CROOKED DAD. B—BAD CHECKS. C—ALLEGED POPE SCAM. D—ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Ditching an interview in favor of hiding under her covers would not have been the most unreasonable of actions. Nevertheless, when Hathaway appears, precisely on time, she immediately launches into peppy and charming small talk about the New York Times crossword puzzle under her arm and the bulky, antiquated tape recorder I’ve placed on the table. “Oh, hello, 1992!” she chuckles delightedly.

But all the cheerful banter in the world could not obscure Hathaway’s tired eyes and drawn face, which she has not attempted to mask with makeup. Her hair is pulled back, and her figure, which for several weeks has appeared on the big screen in Get Smart in all its solid, curvaceous glory, is now more slender than ever, resembling something closer to a ballerina’s form than that of an ass-kicking secret agent. Two years before his little girl was born, the Dark Knight star – who died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January – signed a will leaving his fortune to his parents and sisters.

Eh. Kind of a stupid question because they usually don't buy the clothes that they are seen in at parties or premieres, so unless they actually are given the clothes, they really couldn't wear them again if they wanted to. As for "everyday clothes", we've seen many of htem wearing the same ugly pants or sweater, so I'd say they do keep and re-wear their every day clothes (esp. if they bought them - they aren't THAT rich). Paris Hilton? Who knows?

Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were found shot dead in their home:


The mother of singer and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson was one of two people found shot to death inside a home Friday.

A family member has confirmed Hudson's mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, is one of the deceased. The home where the bodies were discovered is at 7019 S. Yale in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. Property records indicate the home belongs to Donerson.

The other victim, sources close to the investigation said, has been identified as Jennifer Hudson's brother, Jason Hudson.

Sorry for the mistake in my post--the early blurb on CNN said the nephew was the suspect but it has now been updated to say that he is traveling with a man who may have knowledge of the crime. With all due respect, In this specific case this 7 year old (Julian King) is not and never has been considered a suspect. I read CNN when the article was first posted and they never mentioned that Julian was "suspect". They did however mention that he was missing and an Amber Alert had been issued since the incident happened. :confused: They have only mentioned William Balfour (step father) was a suspect.

I do hope they find this young man. This is so very tragic :( :( my deepest prayers go out to this family. So sad :(

Or is getting their photograph and therefore publicity enough?

Not exactly. They may get paid, they may attend for the swag bags, or they may just be looking for the free publicity. And then there are those that really just never seem to get tired of events, and go for the fun of it, or to support friends. It really depends on the celebrity and what's going on in their lives.

I work for someone who gets invitations to events/openings/etc. all the time, but she only goes to maybe one or two events a month (maybe a tenth of what she could go to). Sometimes she goes for friends, sometimes it's an issue she really cares about, sometimes it's for networking, and sometimes there's good swag or something unique to bring her in.

The Bachelorette stars DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak have ended their relationship, Csincsak says in a video posted on the couple’s Web site.

“It’s our responsibility to tell you we’re not together anymore,” he says, adding that Pappas broke up with him two days prior and he feels he did everything he could to “try to make this work.”

So just how did she break the news? By telling him, “‘I love you, but I’m not in love with you,’” Csincsak revealed. “She’s a great person but she wasn’t willing to try anymore … That’s a lot to swallow no matter who you are when you’re in love and you put yourself out there.”

Most bewildering is this: Under one picture Julia writes, "NOW THAT JASON'S GONE I'M THE PRETTIEST ONE," an apparent reference to brother Jason, whose body was found shot to death along with their mother's.

Hugh Hefner's Girls Next Door are dropping like flies.

A month after confirming his split with Holly Madison, the Hef has announced ex Kendra Wilkinson is engaged to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett.

"Kendra Wilkinson has met someone who she would like to spend the rest of her life with," Hefner told Us Weekly. "He popped the question last Saturday. I have given her my blessing and will be giving her away at a very special wedding ceremony at the Playboy Mansion this coming June."

The news comes two months after Wilkinson denied reports Baskett had popped the question.

Her page is directly linked to Jennifer Hudson's page Julia is on her top friends #2. After the tragedy I sent my condolences via her myspace page and added Julia as a friend on my myspace page. At that time her page and pics were not private. I can go to the album and see these pics myself :(

I was reading through People last night at the airport and was annoyed by an article on Shenae Grimes (Annie from the new 90210) where she talks about her weight.

In addition to decrying the anorexia rumors, she said, "They say that when I'm healthy I weigh 120. 120 on my frame - I'd be a little chunky monkey walking around!"

OK, I have no opinion on whether she has any kind of eating disorder, and am perfectly happy to believe that she does not. However, I can't believe she referred to 120 as "chunky." I don't care how small boned you are, no one who is 5'3" and weighs 120 is chunky.

She may have a very healthy diet for all I know, but regardless, she is very thin. And if she gained 20 pounds, she'd still be thin.

They have apparently ID'd the woman who was assulted and it was infact Rihanna :( Chris Brown's career as he knows it is KAPUT. He ruined that for himself :mad:


TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon.

Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon -- we do not yet know the nature of the weapon.

The crime report gives the victim's name as Robyn Fenty -- that's Rihanna's real name.

Uh I dunno in this case :confused: sure the media will definitely sensationalize it but I just don't see it turning out for the positive. His fan base is so young (9-25 yrs of age??) and I just don't see the parents supporting his album sales, granting permission to attend his concerts or supporting things he endorses, etc. unless of course he changes his career from singer/performer to advocate for domestic violence :confused:

No that was a picture of her attending the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party the night before the incident occured.

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us... police took pictures of Rihanna's injuries and they are "horrific."

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this... Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Chris Brown grew up with a step-dad who physically abused Chris' mom. Apparently the step-dad tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head, but shot himself through the eye, blinding himself.

He was on Tyra a couple of years ago saying that as a kid he used to be so scared that he peed in his bed.

MTV did a special the other day about domestic violence. I didn't have time to watch it, I just caught a blip on my way out of the house. Hopefully it was well put together and they actually gave out good information.

I'm not glad this happened to her by any means, but maybe it will bring the problem of DV back to the front of people's minds. We live in such a celebrity-obsessed society, maybe seeing that someone as talented as Chris can hurt someone as beautiful as Rihanna will remind people that it really IS a problem that can affect anyone.

A portion of E! Entertainments Ryan Seacrest's radio show was just on the station I listen to here in the DC area and the person that was interviewed said that the LAPD think someone from within leaked the photos to TMZ and there is talk of Internal Affairs getting involved.

An ambulance was called, and Richardson was taken to a local hospital before she was transferred to Hopital du Sacre-Coeur in Montreal. So sad. Seems there are conflicting reports about whether or not she's brain dead or has brain swelling.

Yeah, some sites are holding to their "brain dead" headlines while others say there is only brain swelling. I've always liked her work, I remember her way back in Suddenly, Last Summer, thought she was lovely in Parent Trap, funny in the awful Maid in Manhattan, and I would have loved to have seen her as Sally Bowles on the stage.

Last night, news broke that LeAnn Rimes was having an affair with her TV movie costar Eddie Cibrian (pictured here).

The 26-year-old country singer took to her Web site to address the situation. Here’s what she wrote:

“This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support. I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white. Have Faith, Le.”
