Carseat ?

How old was your baby when s/he moved up to the convertible carseat? DS will be 5 months on the 15th. He's about 24 inches and 13 1/2 pounds. We have the Graco Snugride, which is good up to 26 inches and 20 pounds. I know all babies grow at different rates, but just want to get a gage of when he'll need to move up?

We moved DS around the 6 month mark - He was no where near the weight max, but was getting close to the height max --- It goes so fast, doesn't it?

DS has been in the convertible, Britax Roundabout, since the very beginning. We do use the infant seat on occasion but he prefers the Roundabout and so do I.

DD moved to the Marathon at 5 months because she outgrow the snugride in length not weight.

We moved DD about 2 weeks ago (at 6.5 months) because she outgrew her SnugRide length-wise (26.5 inches), not weight (by far not weight; she's still only 13 lb. 14. oz. but is very tall). She looks so tiny in the convertible car seat, and doesn't seem to like it much yet! :(

right around 6 months...DD also outgrew the height (27 inches!!!) but only 16 lbs.

I can't imagine putting a newborn into a marathon though! It doesn't seem like the straps go low enough. :confused:

Noah was 4 months old when he hit 26" and we had to move him.

ETA - he's 15 months, and only recently hit 20 lbs.

Yup another tall baby here! DS was too tall by his 4 month appt but he didn't hit the weight limit until 6 months (we moved him to the Marathon at 3 months).

DD moved to the Roundabout when she was 5 months, again due to length and not weight (she didn't weigh 20 lbs until she was over 1 y.o.!)

We just moved DD to her Marathon (she is almost 5 months...and was 24 1/2" and 16lb at her 4 month appt.)

This was mainly for my ease, as I was leaving the infant seat in the car and just taking DD out and it is hard to do that. So we have been using the MA for about a week, and it is great for both of us! :)

Right about 6 months here too due to the height limit.

Just moved Kassidy. She was 26 in at her 4 month appt. We tried to last a little while, but DH gave in and bought her the Marathon Britax. She loves it, and so does DH. I don't, only because it means my baby is growing up :( :p .

I guess it's time to move Paige to the next seat soon. She was 26 3/4" at her 4 month appt :(

We're moving Roman (who is six months now) as soon as I receive the roundabout I ordered online. At his appt. last week he measured 25.5" and weighed 15.5 lbs.
