Hi everyone! I guess this is going to be my first post! :) First of all I should say that this looks like a great place and a great group of women. I'm looking forward to being a part of the community here.
So I'll jump right in with a question that I hope some of you can help with!
I currently live in the Southwest. Earlier this year I spent a week in NYC as a birthday present to myself and I fell in love with the city. For various reasons, I'm ready for a change. A big BIG change. And I think moving and starting anew is a step in that direction.
So I"d love it if anyone here who is from NYC or who lives there now has any advice to give. What part of the city should I consider to live in? What parts should I avoid at all costs? Anything unique to the NYC living experience that I might not have thought of (or that you didn't think of before you moved there)? Or any thoughts at all you might have?
I've lived in a big city before and even lived downtown in a big city, but I get the feeling that living in NYC might be unique even in that perspective. So I'd love to hear your advice and thoughts!
