DD has been worrying me for a couple of days now. She is sleeping ALL the time. She's sleeping 4 hour stretches during the day. Is this ok? She nurses well when she's awake, she's just hardly awake. Plenty of wet and poopy diapers. What's up with this? She's 8 weeks old today. She has a little bit of a runny nose and her older brother is currently sick, but she seems fine other than the nose. When she is awake she smiles and generally seems content. She's not very active. She mostly just lays quietly looking around.

my 3 month old slept a whole ton yesterday because he also got a cold from my daughter...so she may not be feeling all that well and resting. I'm sure once she feels better, you'll be begging her to go to sleep :)

I had the same concerns at that age. I even asked the doctor who just said she's fine. Now, at 7 months - not so many long stretches during the day - although I think she had a 4 hour nap about 2 weeks ago. She has slept through the night since she was about 2 months old, so hopefully you'll also have that positive trait, as well.

This sounds similar to my DD at that age. She was a very good natured baby and would sleep well in her moses basket pretty much anywhere I put her. She also slept long stretches during the day. She is now 9m old and has always been a good sleeper (knocking on wood) and still takes 2 naps a day, about 1.5hrs each. She was also one to just sort of watch the world go by and loved to watch things move, or watch lights. We had a string of Christmas lights on the wall behind my recliner where I fed her and she was just mezmerized by them. I'd say she's slightly more active now though ;)
