Fantasy Football has gone over really big with the NFL football fans, so I wondered if anyone might be interested in doing Yahoo's College Football Pick 'Em Game. I think it sounds like fun. :)

Gig Em Ags! Are you Class of 99, Tara? My husband is class of 99 and got his Master's on 01. I'm class of 01. Just wait a coupla years! Thomas is 2 and is geared up for a winning Aggie season! Every time he sees Fran or a maroon jersey, he puts out his thumb and says, "Gig 'Em, Aggies!" and then throws up his hands and says, "Touchdown, Aggies!"

We are on our way to eat at Wings N More - they just built one here in Dallas!! Mmm...You walk in and I swear it's just like the one in College Station. Complete with Aggie football pictures and everything :D My sister is a soph at Texas, so every time we visit her, we go via College Station, show Thomas around, pick up some new Aggie gear and eat at Freebirds/Wings...good times...

Yup, my husband and I are both class of 99. He was in the Corps (Sq. 17) and I was big into the Residence Hall Association (I lived in Mosher, Clements and McFaddin halls). We both adore College Station and look for any reason to go back. The first home game of the year is Sept. 17 against SMU and DH's Corps outfit is having a big reunion so we're going. I made our daughter a pair of overalls like the Yell Leaders to wear to some of the functions. I can't wait to go back! Have you seen the Baby Aggie DVD?

It's like a Baby Einstein video but it's all Aggie stuff. SOOOOOO stinkin' cute! Total propaganda and brainwashing but I don't care, my baby'll be 4th generation when she gets there!

We just got a Freebirds in my part of Houston. I love it! DH and I count the Aggie Rings when we go in. It's funny to see all the non-Aggies eat their burritos wrong. We also have a Wings N More up the road on 45 and a Double Dave's that delivers to my house. It's like Aggieland in Clear Lake.

Weird how much we associate food with College Station!!

As a Virginia alumni married to a VT alum, let me tell you there's a BIG difference there!! :p I do have a grad degree from NC State, so I'll be rooting against DH as usual!! Go Pack (and Wahoos too!)

Thanks for the reminder, Nicole! I've been so out of it this week I'd have forgotten without your post. Just so you know, I set the group so that we can make pics up to 5 minutes before the start of the first game, so hopefully that will give people lots of time to remember and spend a minute picking each week. I posted in their other thread about the K-State game yesterday. Overall, it was a good day, and we're excited about the season. I'm nervous about going to Marshall next weekend, though, just because it is really important that we kick butt.

I'm not too impressed with myself for tying for 8th place in our Pick 'Em game, but it's all good! :D
