I thought that it was 80 lb. Kristen and I are planning to make our own invitations and what I picked out is 80 lbs. Will it go through the printer? Kristen is concerned about it and we wanted to know before we went ahead and ordered 80 lb paper!!
Thanks :)
Are you talking about 80# text weight paper, or 80# cover? I have successfully printed on 80# text on both laser and ink-jet printers. 80# cover *might* be a little thick depending on the individual printers and the rollers. Thicker paper can get stuck in the rollers or input trays of some machines.
Is there no way you can obtain a piece of similar weight paper to try it out? Michael's or other craft stores will have paper in that weight even if it is not the same paper you plan to order. This would eliminate any worry about whether the paper you order will work.

80 # coverweight
It's on www.paper-source.com and I've heard of a lot of people buying from them so I just never thought there would be an issue!!
I'll go pick up some paper from Michael's-I didn't think of that, thanks :D

I used 105 lb. for my invites, and it took a few trials, but it went through my printer just fine. Just keep an eye on it and it shouldn't be a problem.

Go to a store and feel them. 80lb cover is very thick IMO. If you have inserts and whatnot they will be heavy and costly to send. If you are only doing one layer or a fold-over card then it will be ok I think.

Either 80lb cover or 105lb cover is fine. 80lb cover is easier to feed through your printer though b/c it's lighter. When I printed on 105lb. cover I had to feed it through the back of the printer, as opposed to up through the normal feed b/c it kept getting jammed. Unless you have a top feed printer, then 105 is fine, too.
