Anyone taken their DC to a Disney on Ice show? One is coming to my area, and I would like to take DS (who is 3). But I just read that it is 2 hours and 15 minutes with one 15 minute intermission. It just seems really long to me... but I imagine it flies by. Anyone else have experience with taken a 3yo to such a show?

We took our 2 year old to see it - she loved it, however, there were parts that lost her interest (Mulan...there was only a couple out on the ice skating). We had a good time and I would totally take her again.

I did just take her to see Nemo on Ice..that was pretty long and again, she sat through the whole thing.

We took our oldest DD when she was just a little over 3 to see Princesses on Ice. I don't remember it being that long really, but she had no trouble sitting through the whole thing. She had a blast.

We took both DDs to see Playhouse Disney Live! when they were 4 and almost 2. I think that show may have been a little shorter, but again, no trouble sitting through for either of them.

My husband took my daughter (2.75 at the time) and she loved it! It held her attention the whole time and she talked about it for days afterwards.

We've seen Monsters Inc on Ice. Older DD was just over 3 and loved every minute of it. We took older DD to the Lion King traveling Broadway production a few months ago. She was 4 and was a little bored in parts but still talks about a lot of it and sat really nicely either by herself or on my lap. We've also seen Dora and Diego Live shows. Diego live was more recent and older DD did great. Younger DD was only about 18 months. She wondered around a little bit in our isle but loved the music and danced away in parts. We are attempting Winnie the Pooh Live in September and younger DD will be a little over 2, so we'll see how that goes. Depending on the show, it's a nice way to introduce young kids to "theater."

We took DS when he was about 2 1/2. He did great. He was totally fascinated when Mickey came out. We recently saw the Wiggles. While he also liked that, he did better at Disney.

My hairdresser just took her grandkids to Nemo on ice and loved it. Her grandkids are 4.5 and 2 - she said that the first part is over an hour, then the intermission and then 45 minutes. It is long but I think that a 3 yo would be pretty excited at something new like this and be fine - I would bring a sucker just in case.:)
