View Full Version : Anybody have Baby Bargains' Sixth Edition?
Okay, after this, I'll shut up about carseats, I promise. :D
If you have the 6th edition, can you please share what our erstwhile reviewers have to say about the Britax Boulevard?
Thanks. :)

I would love to hear what BB says about the BLVD as DH and I are trying to decide between the Decatholon and the BLVD.

I just found this information over at the BB website:
Britax Decathlon Is a lot like the Britax Round about but it will accomodate kids up to 65 forward facing. It has an insert pad for a newborn. The front adjuster is a botton and the crotch strap is adjustable.
Britax Boulevard Is the same base as the Britax Marathon. Same adjuster at the front and the fixedcrotch strap. What is different is that it offers Side Impact Protection in case of a side Impact type of accident. Also there is not need to re thread the straps when you need to adjust them because your child is taller. All you need to do is turn a knob that is on the side and the wings (TSIP) and straps would go up and down as desired. It also comes with an insert for infant.
That was another posters information- I would still like to hear what the BB reviewers say...

Ahh Shot! I just gave it to a girl at work who is PG on Friday. Now you ask. It has been laying around for months.
I read pretty much the same thing: the Decathlon is a bigger Roundabout, with extra padding for infants. Meanwhile the Wizard is being phased out and replaced with the Boulevard - both models have the "never rethread" harness, and adjust along a continuous track, not to interval heights. They also both have the side impact protection, but the Wizard's head support is rigid and narrow, hence the redesign to the Boulevard.
We went to BRU tonight to take a look and to test them in our car, and were really impressed with the Boulevard. That's what we plan to get. I was worried it'd be a tight fit in our Mazda Protege, but it wasn't a problem.

I have the 6th edition and just looked and couldn't find a single mention of the Britax Boulevard? There is this:
"As we went to press, we learned Britax was going to launch two new convertibel seat models in the middle of this year, but details are sketchy. Here are the rumors:"
then it talks about the Decathlon, Wizard II, and Husky. If any of these are the Boulevard, let me know and I'll post what they said about these!
What do they say about the Wizard II? The Boulevard is replacing the Wizard, so they probably decided a new name was in order...
