I use baby wipes but my SIL uses wet washcloths with water. She has a wipe container that she fills a quarter of the way with water and folds up a few washcloths to put in....

I use coth wipes made of one layer of flannel and one layer of terry or velour, but washcloths would work the same. I have a peri (squirt) bottle of water on the changing table with the tiniest amount of baby soap and I just squirt some on the wipe when I'm changing DS. Works great!

I do cloth diaper, so I just wash them with my diapers.

I have cheap baby wash cloths from the dollar store. I just run it under the tap before I change DD. No wipes solution or anything just plain water. She never has a rash and one cloth will clean up even the worst messes so far!

Cotton balls and chamomile tea (though when I travel I do use wipes or else I have a mess on my hands).

I mostly use wipes, but if one of the kids has a rash, I'll use soft paper towels or washcloths with warm water.

I cut up pieces of flannel and use a squirt bottle of just water. We cloth diaper and and DD has never had diaper rash.

I use cloth wipes wet with water that I wash with our (cloth) diapers. My DS is 2 and i've never bought a package of disposable wipes - not b/c i'm opposed, but b/c i've never needed them. Someone bought me one box at my baby shower and I still had over half the box left (i kept them in a ziploc bag and I just recently threw them out).

I remember my aunt using cotton balls instead of wipes. Really though, I love our cloth wipes so much that I'd consider using them even if we used disposable diapers - they're that awesome.

Wash cloths from IKEA (cheap and bigger than the average baby washcloth) plus plain ol' water. Works great.

Cheap baby washcloths dipped in a mixture of water with a little bit of baby soap.

We use flannel wipes I got on ebay and from Nicki's Diapers with plain water. I prewet them and keep them in a wipes container. Baby wash cloths are too rough IMO.

A combo of cheap baby washcloths, 'diaper wipers' - these are like washcloth sized squares of those 'birdseye' gauzy diapers, and some freebie flannel or hemp wipes that came w/CD orders. I fill the sink w/warm water, a squirt of Dr. Bronner's and a squirt of tea tree oil. Soak the cloths, wring out excess water and fill up the wipe warmer. They stay warm and perfectly moist. Very easy!

(I wash them w/our CDs)
