I'm just going to get ahead of myself and predict a Stephenie/ Judd/ Rafe final 3-- with Stephenie being the winner. That'll officially make this the most boring and pre-arranged Survivor ever. I wish Mark Burnett had just written Steph a million dollar check instead of boring all of us with a totally predictable season of television.

Oh, don't even jinx us by writing that!!! I'm only hanging on to Survivor by a thread anymore and that finale would be IT for me!

I am so over Stephanie I can barely stand it.

I bet she's going to be named the new host if Jeff P doesn't re-sign.

I still like the show, and I haven't seen how it's predictible. But then again, I really like Steph, and as much as I'd like her to go all the way, I don't think that will happen.

Has anyone heard about Jeff not returning as host after the next two seasons? There was some hub-bub about it on another site. CBS has given the OK for two more seasons following the two already in progress (one more plus the one that is shooting now), and Jeff's season is up after the second one...meaning there could be a host for the next two after those....did any of that make sense??? LOL

If I had to pick a person I'd like to see win, I guess I'd go with Gary. I think he's fairly smart about the game and yet he hasn't done anything uber immoral or a hole-y yet. He seems fairly stragith foward and no nonsense, other than I agree that this season lacks all the things that have made Survivor exciting and addicting in the past. I can't put my finger on what it is abotu Stephanie, but she really bothers me this season. She sort of seem slike a nerdy, unpupular kid who suddenly became popular and now she's way to into the fact that she's part of the in crowd, I guess. It's like a power tirp mixed with a sense of entitilement and superiority, with a dash of condescention thrown in for good measure.

LOL!! You're probably right!

Yes, this is exactly right! I loved Steph last season, but this season she's been unbearable... just so smug and holier-than-thou.

I would like to see Gary win too. He's playing the game well, both metally and physically. There's no way that's gonna happen, though.

I'd like to see Rafe win...he seems the most unlikely Survivor nerd ever. But he's got the smarts and he holds his own in physical challenges. I like Stephanie and wouldn't mind her making the final four, but even if she does I don't see her fellow survivors giving her the money.

But what if it was Steph and Jamie as the Final Two?? I'm not sure I could see the jury giving him the $$ over her. But then again; they may do it just because they feel like she never should have been in the game to begin with. Two shots at a million bucks in lifetime?? Wow.

I think that Stephanie will get final four but will be voted out after that because they all know she had her chance before. My money is on Rafe. Lots of uncertainty though because of the immunity challenges. I actually like Dani sort of.

I liked Dani all along as well; she was on my fantasy team until the merge. I took her off at that point because I didn't see much hope in her staying. I still don't. I think they will get rid of Gary next (as long as he doesn't win immunity) and then Dani. Has anyone else noticed that she keeps getting skinnier and skinnier each week?? And there wasn't much of her to begin with!! You can see every single one of her ribs now. Yech!!

I thought that tonights episode was really great. It was cool that Dani won the reward challenge with Gary, Judd and Steph, because that girl needs to EAT...and eat A LOT!!!

I was totally wrong about the immunity idol, but at least that is cleared up now. I'm happy that Gary didn't get booted, I really thought he was going to go.

Rafe is doing so well with the immunity challenges, but I don't think anyone sees him as a threat....yet anyway.

no....i think she's athletic and looks great (even though she's lost all that weight)

i'm so happy with the outcome last night...really really thrilled! i really want steph go next, but maybe it will be judd. i'm glad gary got to stay. and realy glad rafe won immunity, he's pretty smart - i dont think he lets on too much!

Is anyone else sick of seeing Dani's red short shorts? Hehe - DH joked that they always have the "butt cam" on the challenges. We always seems to get some sort of close-up on the hot women's butts.

I figure Dani doesn't fit into most of her other clothes (without risking exposing herself a whole lot more) so the short shorts is the only thing that stays on.

I know that I am not enjoying this season when we are down to the final 7 and I barely know anyone's name.

Gary and Rafe are the only ones I want to be in the final 2.

I don't believe that if Stephanie is in the final 2 that she would win - I think the jury would believe that she already had her chance.

I know I haven't been paying attention.....Does everyone know about Gary now? I know that a long time ago Amy or whomever recognized him but he kept denying it. I just don't know if he finally came clean and that's why they want him out, or do they want to vote him out because he is such a threat.

OK I have a question that I couldn't understand last night. The reward challenge was men against women, right? If that is true why did the men go on the challenge too?

KristyK
11-18-2005, 09:19 AM
so who was booted?

Jamie, and apparently everyone except Judd knew! He was blown away, but damn I'm glad that annoying jerk is gone!

I like Gary, I'm glad he's still there! Hopefully they'll all start playing a game now!

I thought that was one of the coolest challenges yet. It really made them think! I think Rafe is definitely flying under the radar, he's smart and athletic.

My final 2, Rafe and Gary, I hope! Don't care whether Stephanie stays or not.

The reward challenge was 2 men and 2 women against 2 men and 2 women.

Cynthia, Lydia, Rafe & Jamie

Gary, Judd, Stephenie, Danni

Thats why the men went. Nice house btw!

Gary vs. Rafe would be great to see. I think anyone from the 7 would vote against their own because there would be some blaming that the other 6 were the reason they are on the jury and not in the final 2. I'd love to see Gary win.

It was a really good episode last night. I too am SO happy that Irritating Jamie is GONE!! I really think he was going pycho last night. Although I really thought Gary was a goner so my picks were ALL screwed up!! I am sure I didn't score ANY points!! Oh well, there's always next week.

Wow! I wasn't really expecting Jamie to go last night! I thought for sure the alliance of 6 would hold until Gary and Dani were gone. And I'm glad to say that I'm wrong; although I did have Jamie on my fantasy team; dang it. I lost major points. :( Oh well. Did everyone check out Judd's face during the reading of votes at Tribal Council? He was shocked; angry and dumbfounded all at once; it was great!! It will be interesting to watch this drama unfold next week. FINALLY- The game has gotten alot more interesting!!

For some reason I haven't posted in this thread...maybe because up till this point in the season there wasn't a reason. But last night I was actually surprised! I thought for sure they were just setting us up to think Jamie was going to go only to have the alliance stick together and vote Gary off, but I guess not. This to me is a good thing. Jamie was getting freaky weird out there and he needed to be gone. I can't believe he told Rafe he'd "kill him" and "murder him" if he lied and voted against him. If I was Rafe, I'd hope I stayed in the game longer, for the sole reason to avoid Jamie, who cares about a million!!! lol
Yeah, I agree Judd is going to be so pissed next week. Lookn' good!

I was really surprised by last night's episode!

The big shock to me was not that they decided to vote out Jamie, but that they kept Judd out of the loop. I'd thought that Stephenie and Judd were controlling that alliance, but evidently that wasn't the case! It's got to be Stephenie and Rafe, then. Rafe is the one who clearly pushed for Jamie to go before Gary.

I still think that Gary will be next to go, unfortunately. Stephenie clearly views him as a big mental and physical threat, and this is still her game to lose.

Great episode!

Must be Steph and Rafe, remember Judd said that Rafe is Steph's "lap dog" lol. Why were they looking for Lydia to make a call on the vote when they were playing cards, though? I wouldn't think she was in a position to call any shots.

How funny is that Jamie and Bobby Jon now have to hang out alone together at the Loser Lodge??

This was definitely one of the better episodes of Survivor last night! I was at the edge of my seat during Tribal Council but I knew once they read the 3rd vote for Jamie he was gone! :) Gary made it through another Tribal Council. :)

Should be interesting with Judd next week.....

Oh I'm sure Judd is pissed about the vote. I'm not sure exactly why they decided on Jamie instead of Gary though, although I'm glad they got rid of Jamie. I have a feeling that Gary is next though, to stick with the 5 vs 2. Then again, they didn't vote on tribal lines last night. That's what makes this so exciting, that when I think one way, I'm always wrong. :)

I'm glad Jamie got the boot - he is so annoying, I couldn't imagine having to be around him at camp all day!

Steph should be the next to go - I am so over her, she drives me crazy for some reason and she is a big threat.
Lydia - that woman is flying under the radar and does not deserve top 4!
I hope Dani/Gary wins!

How adorable/hot was Bobby Jon at Tribal Council! I miss him :(

Maybe I missed it but did they ever talk to Cynthia about voting Jamie off?

Nope, they didn't show them (Steph, Rafe & Lydia) discussing it with her. But; they might have and it was edited out to keep us in suspense. That's one thing that drives me nuts about the show; so very much is edited out. I mean; those cameras are recording these people 24/7 for 39 days. That would be approx. 936 hours of footage!!! Out of that; figure we get MAYBE 13 TOTAL hours of that footage; maybe a bit more because of the finale episode. That leaves an absolute TON of footage that we NEVER see!! What I wouldn't give to have them release just one season completely, totally unedited. How fun!! Oh well; that will never happen. But, it's fun to dream!! :D

Here is a transcript of the votes from survivor sucks -

Jamie (votes Gary) – It’s easier to judge somebody than to understand them. I hated it when you judged me with Brandon, thinking he was a better person than me. I want you to know that I forgive you and know that we can be friends someday. It’s either you or me tonight, buddy. Take care.

Cindy (votes Jamie) – I’d like to say your mom’s a lucky lady, she’s got a son like you. With your twin brother, if he’s anything like you, she’s double lucky. Hope you get to see her soon and see her more often.

Judd (votes Gary) – (seems to really regret having to vote for him) Thanks for sharing this experience with me, buddy. I mean, I gotta let you go – I don’t want to but I’ve got to save my own ass, buddy. Thanks for everything - God bless ya.

Lydia (votes Jamie) – Wow, what an awesome young man you are. You’ve been a loyal friend, companion and protector since Day 1 in this game for me. Tonight’s a difficult night for me to do this. I just hope you realize that I cherish every moment that we spent together. In my eyes and my heart, you’re a champion. I’ll see ya on the outside.

Gary (votes Jamie) – You helped me out with your quick tongue, but I still think you’ve got a big heart and I’d want you on my team any day of the year.

Danni (votes Jamie) – (smiles) Sorry once again, you old peckerhead, but since you didn’t get immunity, it makes you an easy target (sort of winces).

Rafe (votes Jamie) – You asked me when I voted you out, to blindside you and to say a mean comment. Well, yes, you’re getting blindsided but I’m not going to take you up on the mean comment. I think you’re a great guy and I think you let this game kind of take you away from who you really are. I hope we’re friends when this is all over.

Steph (votes Jamie) – This is a really difficult vote for me. I’m sorry I have to vote for you but you kinda dug your own grave. You’ve been talking way too much and telling way too many lies and I just can’t trust an alliance with you. So I’m sorry but it’s time for you to go.

So yup, it looks like everyone knew but Judd. Does that make him next to go?

I missed the episode because I was out of town and the power went off in my house sometime between 5:45 AM and 7 PM, so the episode didn't tape!! Grrrr.

Anyway, I totally hope the women form an alliance of 4 (Dani will need to be the one to get it rolling!) Wouldn't that be the greatest??!!! I am totally for Dani winning. Despite the fact that the grrrl needs to eat a sam-ich.

Tonight's episode was eh, okay. I wasn't really surprised by anything that happened up until tribal council. DH and I were wondering when Gary would call Judd out on lying about the location of the immunity idol! The other tribe members faces were priceless when that conversation took place!! You could see the wheels turning in their minds; "hmmm, if he lied about that, what else is he lying about". The big shocker to me was that Danni and Lydia both voted for Gary as well. What's up with that?? I thought for sure Danni would stick with him till the bitter end, but I guess she's thinking about saving her own ass at this point. Can't blame her there.

Anyone ready to make final four predictions? I'm thinking Rafe, Stephanie, Judd and Cyndi. DH thinks it will be Rafe, Steph, Lydia and Cyndi. Personally, I think that Lydia will be going right after Danni; who is most likely going to be on the chopping block next week. I thought her ranting about Steph having the most to eat sat badly with the rest of the tribe. Like Cyndi said, it's a competition. Step up or get out!

Too bad for Gary. I really wanted to see him in the final four. He's been so close on the immunity challenges! I would rather have seen Judd go. I thought when Judd was exposed for lying about the idol at TC that maybe some would change their votes. I don't want Steph and Judd to make it to the final two.

I was also surprised about Lydia and Danni voting him off. Lydia is freakin' annoying - quit whining and being such a martyr. Although, Steph. was also annoying me last night. She's such a pouter when she doesn't win. I really think that she's had an unfair advantage having played the game before.

I'll be interested to see if Judd is able to make it to the final four. Not sure if his lies will catch up with him or not.

I didn't see the previews for this weeks show, but here's the recap...

In an attempt to break up the Final Four, one Survivor plants doubt in another's mind. Will this strategic risk turn the tide?

One Survivor receives a sealed envelope containing a clue that could provide an advantage in the next Immunity Challenge.

A bidding war breaks out at a Reward Challenge auction when family members and loved ones show up unannounced.

I'm not really sure who could be in the Final 4. I don't think the girls will band together and boot out the guys. I don't think Cyndi will vote off Rafe, but who really knows?

Rafe has a really good chance at winning if he keeps up his awesome performance in the immunity challenges. Not only has he shown up his brain power, but he's also competive in the physical challenges. For the most part, Cyndi has been right behind the winners, with poor Lydia ending up in the back of the pack each time.

My predicitions for the Final 4 are Dani, Steph, Rafe and Cyndi. I really think that Judd is on his way out. Then again, this is Survivor and I'm never right about predicting anything. :)

I have a spoiler for the upcoming episode (take these with a grain of salt being that I read them on another chat board). I'll post them in white.

For the reward of getting to see their families, Steph sees her boyfriend, Rafe sees his brother, Judd sees someone (not sure who) and Cindy sees her twin sister. Danni wins immunity.

Just finally watched the last episode (still catching up after Thanksgiving).

I was sad but not surprised to see Gary go. He was my favorite of the bunch, but he was clearly doomed.

Steph and Judd BUG!!! Why will no one recognize what a threat Steph is and deal with it before she just wins this whole thing with no competition?! I really hope Rafe gets a clue in the next episode and starts to make something happen for himself. He could absolutely win this if he made a good stategic move right now. With his current alliance, he's final 3 at best.

Best line of the episode:
GARY: Some of them seem a little starstruck. I'm pretty sure Steph will give them an autograph after this is over.

Steph gets on my nerves--who does she think she is? And how was Lydia talking "behind her back"? She said it right to her face--basically "I am trying to win and I am going to eliminate the people who have eaten the most."

I can't wait for Steph to get her come-uppance.

I miss Gary--now I'm all about Dani or Rafe!

Tbell, I'll have to remember that "secret decoder messaging"...very clever!

Call me naive, but I don't think that Steph is a real threat when it comes to the challenges. She may be competitive, but she hasn't really come close to winning them, KWIM? But I do think she has the upper hand when it comes to who gets voted off next. So we'll see if anyone turns against her and votes her off.

ITA!! Steph hasn't really stepped up at all for the immunity challenges. It would be smart of Rafe or Cindy to take her to the Final Two if either of them win the final immunity challenge. However, I think both of them have a good amount of integrity. I'd say that if either of them go to Final Two, they end up taking the other with them. Now that would be interesting..how to choose between those two!!

Oh man, if Rafe and Cyndi go to the Final 2, that WOULD be a hard decision. I guess it would depend on how they played the game from here on out. But I'd go for Rafe to win if that were the case, Cyndi has made some enemies and that would work against her.

If this were the final two, I would think that Rafe would win. He's won more challenges, no one dislikes him (I think Gary and Cindy don't get along), and I think he's kind of a puppet master, if you will. I think he's had a lot more to do with who goes than Steph or Judd (obviously with the whole Jamie thing.) Plus, he's done it in a way that doesn't alienate anyone and he can't be accused of playing the dreaded "flying under the radar" game.

Rafe's playing a great game!

jimmysgirl424
11-30-2005, 12:10 PM
Funny thing, when the game first started, I liked Judd alot and Rafe not so much. Boy, has that changed! :p I would say that Rafe would win if going up against Cindy. He really has played the best game of anyone this season. My respect for him grows weekly. :D

As far as Rafe calling the shots...I don't know. I think it's him and Steph together. I just get the very strong impression that Stephanie is keeping a very tight control over how things are going at the moment. That will end up blowing up in her face very shortly. What really tickles me the most right now is everyone being so indignant about being lied to. Don't they get it yet? EVERYONE ends up lying in this game at some point. It's unavoidable!! Thats what makes it so much fun to watch!

Kimberland30
11-30-2005, 12:33 PM
Yeah, I loved how Judd kept saying that he hadn't lied yet but was going to start, and Gary totally called him out on looking for the immunity idol. I think there is definately some lying that HAS to be done, without losing your morals or whatever. I know that even with me being an honest person, if I were playing for a million bucks I'd lie my butt off to get it. :)

11-30-2005, 02:11 PM
I'm not really sure there is anyone left that Rafe can't beat. Let's see; supposing it ended up being Rafe against Dani, who would vote for who??

Bobby Jon- Dani
Jamie- Dani (because Rafe betrayed him in a BIG way..in his mind)
Gary- Dani (??...didn't Rafe help save him the week they voted Jamie out?)
Steph- Rafe
Lydia- Dani (I think...because she feels like her tribe has deserted her)
Cindy- Rafe
Judd- Rafe

Hmmmm...what do you the rest of you think? Does that look like right to you? If it is, then that means I'm wrong, that there is someone left that can beat him. Jeez. Alot of times in past seasons, I've been positive that certain people on the jury would vote a certain way and I've been wrong. :p Anyone else care to hazard a guess?? How about the vote if it was Rafe and Cindy?? I think that one would be tougher to call, really.

villanelle75
11-30-2005, 02:18 PM
I'm not toatlly sure Gary woudl vote for Dani. I know they were alliance buddies, but I think he seems like a guy who respects fiece competitors and he might give the nod to Rafe since he was a stronger player. Plus, Dani voted for him the night he went home.

tbell
11-30-2005, 02:26 PM
In Gary's Early Show interview, he said he knew he was going home before Tribal Council and was fine with it (well maybe not fine, but resigned to it.) That makes me think that maybe he would not hold a grudge against Danni for voting against him since she was doing it to save her own skin.

I agree with the above list and think that Lydia could be a swing vote. She is in a semi-alliance with Danni now that they're both outsiders but she was in an original alliance with Rafe. Hmmm, Lydia could be very important!

jimmysgirl424

The way Lydia was talking last week, I think she really could go over to Danni's side. I don't think it would make much of a difference at this point. Unless...what if Lydia and Danni managed to convince one or two others to gang up against Steph and get rid of her. (I mean, their all sooooo starstruck and everything; maybe they want her autograph early??;) )

Anyway, can't wait for tonight. Don't forget to make your picks, ladies!! BTW...does anyone else play the fantasy game over on CBS too?? I do; but I think I like the one on fantasysurvivor.net better.

I'm kicking myself now b/c Rafe was my MVP!!!

OMG, last night was awesome IMO.

I don't want to post any spoilers, but I was surprised by who got voted off. I knew it was a toss up, but I really thought that Lydia was going home. Anyway, I'll wait until more of you post before going into it. :)

I just have to say that it was about time! Judd was such an annoying person, and the way he kept insisting that he hadn't lied was insane. Now if they would just get rid of Steph I'd be a much happier person on Thursday nights!

I was happy with last night's outcome. Judd's a jerk though - he couldn't have expected everyone to take his side, especially for how pompous he'd been in the last couple episodes. Good riddance!!

I hope Lydia doesn't make it into the final 4. She is so annoying and as DH calls her... a "sleeper agent". ;) Other than that, I wouldn't mind seeing Rafe, Steph, Dani, or Cindy win. They are all deserving, I think.

Kimberland30
12-02-2005, 06:18 AM
Isn't funny how at TC, Judd was saying that everyone wishes someone would be voted off, no matter how they come across that they feel bad about it. He said it was part of the strategy, part of the game. Then he gets booted, and calls everyone scumbags! WTF? If you saw the look on the jury's faces, it was priceless. Like they were also surprised that Judd was voted off. I feel bad for Cyndi, because from next weeks preview it looked like she didn't know about the vote.

Judd is delusional. I think he actually believed he never lied. And I don't think I've heard the word "scumbag" since high school, and it was 1987.

I think Lydia is the next to go. That would leave Rafe, Cyndi, Steph and Dani in the F4. That would be pretty cool. I don't see anyone turning against Rafe and making the F4 all females.

jimmysgirl424
12-02-2005, 08:17 AM
Yeah, Rafe will definitely make it into the Final Four. I really can't see Lydia going any further than where she is right now; barring her winning immunity by some crazy chance. I don't think she's done much to deserve it anyway. She was kind of pathetic last night, running around telling everyone she was there if her vote was needed. I thought it was funny that she went to Judd, then ran to Rafe and gave him the same spiel and Judd walked up and caught her saying it!!

I was surprised at how the vote went. To be honest; I felt it was really rotten of Stephanie to turn against him like that after he shared in the reward challenge with her. She got to see her boyfriend for a whole day and night because of him!! Shame!!! I could definitely understand why Judd felt so betrayed, but it was completely over the top for him to make the comments that he did after the vote. Bitten by crocodiles??? Scumbags??? Jeez; grow up already. I am already looking forward to hearing what he has to say during the final Tribal Council. You know he is going to totally blow his top and say all kinds of off-the-wall crap! Can't wait!!

So...four women and one man left!! Are we down to just one more episode before the finale? It's getting good now!! Still think it will be either Rafe and Danni or Rafe and Cindy as the Final Two. But...anything can happen!!

LadyD088
12-02-2005, 09:43 AM
Oh wow, what a good episode last night! So glad Judd is gone but I just can't believe the comments he made. Just minutes before he stated that its not personal, these things have to happen. And then he flies off the handle that way? Please!!!

The Final Tribal Council is going to be good!!! I think Judd will top what Susan did in the First Season of Survivor. He's going to have all this built up anger and watch out!! If its Steph in the final 2, I doubt he'll vote for her now.

What would be your FInal TC question, if you were on the jury?
Mine would be: 3 Parts: 1st...Why did you vote each and everyone of us off? 2nd: Give me your feelings/thoughts on each of those votes, and 3rd: How do you feel you played the game overall? And don't BS me because I am the best BS'er!!

LOL I think those have been asked before but that's what I would base my decision on.

The smartest thing to do at this point would be for Steph and Danni to join together. If I were them, I would eliminate Rafe, because he is the biggest threat, then the zookeeper (I don't remember her name), then Lydia, because let's be honest, Lydia is NOT a threat. She isn't intelligent and she is weak. Then it would come down to Danni vs. Steph and Steph would lose because she lied to too many people.

Rosebud
12-02-2005, 10:17 AM
Lydia will go next week, leaving a Steph/Danni/Rafe/Cindy final four. Totally agree with that.

How it plays out after that depends on one big issue: Who does Rafe have more loyalty to-- Steph or Cindy? He has said in the past that he and Cindy were "in it till the end" and trash talked Steph, but last night he alligned with Steph and didn't tell Cindy about his plans. Very interesting. I think whichever of them he is aligned with will be in the final two.

If Rafe is smart, he's the winner of this game. The cards are completely in his hands.

Predicted boot order:

5th- Lydia
4th- Danni (if Rafe's alliance is with Steph)
Steph (if Rafe's alliance is with Cindy)
3rd- Danni, if she hasn't gone already.
2nd- Either Steph or Cindy
1st- Rafe takes it!

I disagree. I think that Steph would win because everyone would think she "played the game better." I think the only votes against her would be Judd (because he's mad) and Gary (because he was really close with Danni).

I think Bobby John would vote against her, too as well as Jamie whom she booted off after having an alliance with him. I don't think she can win.

bethnjim
12-02-2005, 12:08 PM
I don't think Steph has a chance of winning, but we will see. Who knows, they could all turn on her next week, but if Danni was smart, she would form an alliance with Steph and go to the end with her, picking the others off. Rafe would be first, because he is the biggest threat with winning immunity. I would include Lydia and Cindy on the plan and let them know that Rafe is going and it will be an "all girl fight to the end". If I were Danni, I would then knock off Cindy because she is a big threat...really nice, people like her, then Lydia, then go to the final two with Steph.

jimmysgirl424
12-02-2005, 02:00 PM
It's always hard to tell how the jury will vote when it comes down to players like Steph. In the end, I don't believe they would vote for her because it boils down to the fact that most of them feel she should never have gotten to come back again in the first place. Two shots at a million bucks in one person's lifetime is huge; two shots at a million in less than a year is phenomenal!! I will definitely agree that Steph has played her best game; lying and manipulation is all a part of what you have to do to make it the Final Two. If she makes it there, I will root for her.

Last night's episode was the best! DH and I were yelling at the TV when Judd got voted out. His Early Show interview was more of the same... a lot of sour grapes and bragging about what he'll say to Steph at the finale.

I think the biggest thing that will hurt Steph is that she already played the game once. I think if it comes down to her and someone like Rafe/Danni who has totally played the game, the jury will vote for the other person.

ITA with whoever said they didn't like Lydia's actions last night. I mean, I know you have to do whatever will take you far in the game, but don't make it so obvious that you'll do anything. I'm ready for her to go.

Judd Sergeant's Early Show Interview
Survivor: Guatemala
Episode 12 Boot
(SurvivorFever.net 12.02.05)

http://www.survivorfever.net/images11/ep12/judd_es_03.jpg

Rene Syler: For the second time in as many weeks a member of Stephenie's once rock solid alliance was totally blindsided at Tribal Council. Last night it was hotel doorman Judd Sergeant who was shown the door.

<Tribal Council video clip>

Rene: Judd Sergeant, ewww, you were so bitter and so angry last night.

Judd: Totally!

Rene: How do you feel this morning?

Judd: Oh.

Rene: Still angry?

Judd: Still angry, of course. I mean, I'm not angry, I mean you gotta get over it, I mean, but, I was totally blindsided.

Rene: Who's responsible for you being here?

Judd: Umm, Stephenie. I mean, I was in a great, strong alliance with her. I thought she had my back and evidently she didn't.

Rene: Well, she likes you. She said just in that clip, "hey, I liked him and everything but he's not going to stand between me and a million bucks."

Judd: <shakes head> Well, that wasn't the case. I really thought that my alliance with her was tight as can be and evidently it wasn't.

Rene: I gotta ask you this because watching that clip, you said, "I never lied in the game", but you did Judd! You did lie! You told everybody that the immunity idol was where? You said it's on the ground. And where was it?

Judd: It was in the tree.

Rene: It was in the tree. That's a lie, Judd.

Judd: I can understand that but we're in competition.

Rene: But you said you didn't lie.

Judd: That's not really a lie, though. When you're in competition...I didn't take it as a lie. Everybody else looked on the ground, though. Except for Gary. Gary's the only one that looked up in the tree. So evidently it kinda worked.

Rene: I watched that last week at Tribal Council and you said, "Okay, I lied. I'm not a good liar." And everybody still went with their initial plan which was to vote Gary out. I thought for sure people would turn around and vote you out.

Judd: Good move by Gary but like I said, our alliance was strong. Me, Steph, Cindy and Rafe were tight. I mean, we were really strong. We played that card.

Rene: Did you know who Gary was.

Judd: I had no idea who Gary was.

Rene: And you're a football fan, right?

Judd: I'm a big football fan, a football player and I had no idea.

Rene: Didn't matter anyway, did it?

Judd: It got to a point where it was around camp that he is a quarterback and I just said to myself, 'well he's in my jungle right now, I don't care what he is.'

Rene: Lydia, last night, boy she was working you and working Rafe. She was all over that camp. You looked like you could barely stand her.

Judd: I...Lydia was working it. Lydia was supposed to go. She was the one that was supposed to get axed. I was saying anything to make her feel comfortable because our alliance had her going. I was basically saying anything to make her happy.

Rene: You won the Reward Challenge last night. You had an opportunity to bring your wife, who you hadn't seen in 28 days, out to camp.

Judd: 31 days.

Rene: You had the opportunity to bring some other Survivors' family members and loved ones out with you. You chose, Cindy and ahhh, who else...

Judd: Stephenie.

Rene: Stephenie's boyfriend. But your wife, she was al little bit spooked, wasn't she, from some of the sights and sounds at camp? In fact, that's our Survivor Secret Scene. Take a look at this:

---------------------------------------------------------

Secret Scene:

Judd: My wife, Stephenie's boyfriend and Cindy's sister, we were all just getting tucked in for the night. I wish a few howler monkeys would go absolutely berserk right now that way they can get a taste of what we've been sleeping in for 31 days. I'm waiting for that loud obnoxious noise to start freaking them out.

<everyone is sleeping, monkeys start howling, Judd's wife wakes up>

Kristen: I hear a monkey. I don't even know what I hear. I can't believe Judd can sleep through this. It's crazy.

------------------------------------------------------------

Rene: One episode in particular, in seemed like you lost a bunch of weight. How much weight did you lose?

Judd: I lost 45 pounds, total.

Rene: You look good.

Judd: I feel great. I mean, I feel great.

Rene: Except that you would have liked to have your wallet a little fatter?

Judd: Absolutely. I wish I was still in Guatemala right now, but...

Rene: Are you gonna speak to Stephenie at the reunion?

Judd: Ummm, we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. Like I said, I thought me and her were tight, I thought we were pretty good friends. I took her on every reward there was so...she blindsided me, backstabbed me. So we'll have to see how that works out.

Rene: Can you honestly tell me that you wouldn't have done the same thing?

Judd: I wouldn't have done the same thing. I wouldn't have done the same thing. Me and here were pretty close. We had a pretty close alliance. She had promised my wife that she was taking me to the final two. And here I am.

Rene: You valued that friendship and here you are.

Judd: And here I am.

Rene: Judd, it's good to see you, though.

Judd: Well, thank you. Thanks for having me.

Judd is delusional. How can he calin that telling peopel the idol was on the ground when it was in a tree wasn't a lie? he can rationalize that as "not a lie", using the excuse that it was just part fo the compeition, and yet when someone lies about an alliance so they can vote him out, then thsoe rules no longer apply and that is a lie? Does that actually make sense in his head?

If I were on a previous Survivor and outlasted my entire tribe, got voted off because I was a threat/easy vote, then had the chance to do another season and made it to at least the final 5, I'd feel entitled too. I still like Stephenie, and think she deserves to feel as "royal" as she wants to. I kinda wish they'd kept her for another "All Stars" season, but oh well.

ITA!! Which is why I'll be sad if she makes it to Final Two; because as I previously posted, I really don't think she would be able to win. I think most of her tribemates really do feel that she shouldn't have been able to compete in another season. As Kimberland30 said, she would have been much better off in another edition of All Stars.

Kimberland30
12-05-2005, 01:10 PM
I think it sucks that others (in the show) judge her solely because she was in Survivor once before. I wonder if you asked any of them "Would you like to try again for a million bucks?" how many would turn it down.

Hate the game, not the player. :D

tbell
12-05-2005, 02:47 PM
I read that they're never doing another All Star Survivor since the player's real life friendships played too much into their game decisions.

I don't think any of the other players would turn down another chance at winning a million, but if it were me, I would really watch my attitude b/c I would know that I was a gigantic target. I would try to be humble and not act entitled.

But it's easy for me to say since I'm not playing the game! :D

I am hoping that Steph will be in the top two. I would like to see her win but I have my doubts that she will be able to get the votes to win. She has voted off some of her own alli's, and they are now all sitting on that Jury. I think it will all depend on who is in the final with her.

Hmmm, I haven't seen it.

Isn't this usually about the episode where someone wins a car? Maybe the winner is given the opportunity to take the car or pick something else ( I have no idea, so I'm totally guessing.)

It seems like the person who wins the car is usually voted off the same episode. I have a possible spoiler about who may win the car, so this person may be our next bootee (highlight below for possible spoiler):

Cindy

I did see the preview commercial and it is exactly what you thought. The commentator said something along the lines of: "Would you give up this brand-new car so that your tribemates can each have one??". And then a little clip of Jeff saying "Tough decision, isn't it?"

It's gonna be good!! Can't wait! :D

There are a lot of spoilers about the final two on some of the Survivor chatboards I'm on. Don't highlight below if you don't want to know!!!

Steph and Danni. Cindy goes next, then Lydia, then Rafe.

We'll see on Sunday if this is true!

Kimberland30

I would be so disappointed if that is true. Ugh. That would be a hard decision though.

Anyway, THANK GOD IT'S THURSDAY!

I usually don't watch TV, but since I started getting interested in Survivor again, Thursday nights seem to take way too long to get here!!! I watched the first season, the All Stars, last season and this one. I've been catching past seasons on The Game Show Network, so it's always a surprise who gets voted off :)

I was listening to a local radio station this morning (94.9 Tampa) and they had Judd on for a phone interview. They asked him who was the fellow contestant that smelled the worst and he said Jamie. They asked him who would and would not be on his Holiday Card list this year. He said Jamie again, because Jamie's his boy. He said Steph would definitly not not not not be on his Holiday card list. He went on to say that it gets irritating to live with the same bunch of people 24/7 and you have to always keep in mind that its just a game.

Interesting.

He also said he has a twin brother and to believe it or not, Judd is the nice twin. He still works as a bellman in Manhattan and the only perk is that he's getting better tips these days.

Cindy should have paid attention to the Survivor curse.

Rafe is full of crap. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but to give four others cars when you're guaranteed nothing??

It sure seems like Steph has shared in a lot of rewards this season. I'd love to see her go next because obviously Lydia is no threat to anyone.

12-08-2005, 08:58 PM
Dude, the minute she said she'd keep the car, she screwed herself. WHY WOULDN"T YOU GIVE THE OTHER'S THE CAR. She'd still be there. GUARANTEED!! Duh!

Kimberland30
12-08-2005, 10:06 PM
I can honestly say that being put in Cindy's position, I would have taken the car for myself too. I mean, you are there to play a game and get what you can out of it, not make friends and give away cars. It would have been cool if she did chose them over herself - but c'mon, pass up a new truck? I wouldn't have.

I loved her exit remark: "I'll be thinking of you when I see the stars through the sunroof of my new truck." :) Or something like that. At least she didn't call them all scumbags.

I really don't think Steph will win if she makes it to the Final 2. Too many people on the jury don't like her, and feel like she double crossed them (BJ, Jamie, Judd and now Cindy). We'll see though!

Rafe, Lydia, Danni vote out Stephanie.

Heck I am not sure they would vote for Rafe either just because he was the one who started alot of the talk to vote the others out. Danni has been really good and putting a bug in the ear of the others without seeming like the bad guy. Do you guys know if the people on the jury get to communicate with one another while being sequestered?

Since Cindy was voted out last night (she was my last pick for our survivour draft) and I rooting for Danni (DH's only pick left). She has stirred things up just enough to keep in her this game.

They're all sequestered together, so I would suspect they do. They may have some type of handlers there to watch them but I would guess they still talk about the game.

If I were there, I would want Lydia beside me. No one in their right mind would vote for her for the million. What would her arguement be to the inevitable question of "Why do you deserve to win the game?"

Cindy was screwed either way. This would be one challenge I wouldn't want to win if I were in it to win the game. Plus, with her continually talking about the car, it was sure to get on everyone's nerves.

About time Steph won an immunity since it's her first of the season and only what, second including last season?

I think Steph's done. She'll make the final 2, but has ruined her chances with the jury. Neiher Dani nor Lydia has stabbed anyone in the back, and Rafe, so far, has only screwed Cindy, who was gonna screw him anyway. I really don't think Steph can win--she betrayed people too soon.

hey ther just saw this thread and wanted to put my .02 in.
I really like Step but like you said msnicolea I think she betrayed too many at the end. but I would like to see her win, but don't think it will happen.
Lydia is not one of my faves. she I think has basiclly road the coat tails, flew under the raidor and no one see's her as a threat and they should not bring her to the final 2
Dani is strong and I think a very good player and yes she's good at putting the bug in your ear. if it's not S
Rafe I like and he also is a threat because he's so nice and everyone likes him I would not mind if he won. and he's a good competitor:p

okay so i know everyone seems to think that if steph got to the final 2 no one would vote for her....but remember Survivor Amazon - it was Jenna and gosh i cant remember that guy (he was a chef)? it was almost clear he would win cos no one liked jenna. but in the end they all voted for her....saying she outplayed, outwit and outsmarted them all....oh well - just a thought!

You're totally right, Shaqangel. I've heard that Jenna was edited to be a total bitch because Mark Burnett didn't want the season to be too obvious. According to cast interviews, she was really sweet and hardly ever complianed.

I suspect they may be editing Steph negatively to deflect attention away from her winning. No one in their post show interviews have mentioned that she was anything but nice and sweet and fun to be around.

Shaqangel - I was just going to say the SAME thing!!! You never know what's going to happen. Who knows, the others might respect her way of playing now. Doing what you have to do to get to that moment. I don't know, if she was up against Lydia...I would give it to Steph. She did way more then Lydia has done!!!

And as for Rafe last night, he was irritating. I could not stand him. Like he's all high and mighty. Those girls better get together, he's strong enough and smart enough to win, like Steph said last night.

I honestly CAN'T wait for Sunday's show!!!!

OH, don't forget to make your pics before the show on Sunday!!!!!!!

I have to say.... I disagree with all of you who are saying that Steph can't win because she betrayed too many people. Lots of people who have betrayed others have won Survivor. Bottom line... jury members respect players who have PLAYED THE GAME, even if they were disloyal at times. That's just part of Survivor. Judd, Jamie and Gary are the only three who might not vote for Steph-- but they might also be swayed by her arguments at the final tribal council. It's happened before.

I think the only person right now who could beat Steph in the Final Two is Rafe. If Steph goes to Final Two with either Lydia or Danni, Steph is going to win. Mark my words.

re: Cindy and the car.... I think Rafe's argument was that Cindy wouldn't have been eliminated that night if she'd given away the cars. It would have kept her safe for one more Tribal Council. Once you get into the Final 4, the amount of money you win increases considerably (the runners up DO get money).... so, conceivably Cindy could have made more money than the car was worth if she'd stayed in even one more TC. I think that's where Rafe was coming from. I don't know if I'd have given up the car either... but in not doing so, Cindy definitely sealed her fate.

Okay, so if Rafe was smart (which I say every week and am seriously beginning to doubt), he would make darn sure that Steph goes next week. He has the numbers to do it now, I think. It would be the best strategical move of his game and pretty much ensure his victory. Go Rafe!

I don't think Steph's backstabbing will hurt her in the F2, but I think the fact that she is a returning player might. Her opponent could use that as an arguement as to why she shouldn't win.

I think Danni could hold her own at TC (she's won as much or more than Steph, plus the only member of her tribe to survive), but we'll have to see on Sun.

msnicolea

I don't know--I think men who betray might win--women, not so much (just in the context of Survivor, not in life!). Think of the women who have won Survivor--not a back-stabber in the bunch. The one who did "stab", Twyla (?), was ANNIHILATED.

Plus, look at the neanderthals Steph has booted--I'll just bet they want to nail her!

She's played a great game--she deserves it as much as anyone. But I don't think she will win.

Here's Cindy's Early Show interview for anyone who's interested:

http://www.survivorfever.net/images11/ep13/cindy_es_02.jpg

RENE: It is down to the Final 4 on "Survivor: Guatemala". In last night's episode, Stephenie once again turned on a member of her alliance. This time the victim was Cindy Hall, who might have sealed her own fate by winning a car and tempting the "Survivor" gods.

(clip package)

RENE: Spoken a bit prematurely, perhaps. Cindy Hall, good morning.

CINDY: Good morning.

RENE: I guess we should start there, with the car, because Jeff told you last night, he said, "I just want to let you know that the person who has won the car has never won 'Survivor'", and he wanted to give you an opportunity to give up the car and you said, "No, I'm not gonna do it." Why did you do that?

CINDY: Just like I said on TV, I'm about beating the odds. I've been trying to get on Survivor for five years and no one thought it would ever happen, and I did it, and at that point I was still following through with that same theory. It's not the curse of the car, it's the curse of winning. Any time you win a reward, you're a threat, so it had nothing to do with the car.

RENE: And you said, before we went on camera, "How stupid would I have looked to America if I had given up the car and THEN got voted off?" You thought this was in the works all along.

CINDY: I do think it was in the works, because I called it when they voted out Judd and didn't tell me. Before that they had voted out Jamie and didn't tell Judd. I mean there was definitely a pattern forming there. I think it was in the works all along, and I would have felt like an idiot and looked like an idiot for giving up a car and then losing the game, all at the same time.

RENE: Who's running the show there? Who's really, really in control? And why are you here?

CINDY: Rafe is running the show, and I know that he...

RENE: Really?

CINDY: ...and you have to give him credit because he's playing very smart by making Stephenie look like she's running the show.

RENE: Yeah, because that's what it looks like.

CINDY: ...a target on her, because everyone expects Stephenie to be running the show. She's played the game before, she's the power player, she's in control. He's the one coming up with the ideas, and she's just the messenger. She does the delivery, and it makes it look like she's the bad guy.
RENE: Yeah, but if he's running the show, why didn't you fare better, because at one point he took you on a reward challenge. I thought you guys were tight.

CINDY: I took him on a waterfall challenge because I knew from his background that he would enjoy something that's of a natural wonder.

RENE: Were you trying to get in tight because you knew he was running the show, you were trying to sort of side up next to him?

CINDY: Yeah. Stephenie and Rafe are the two people I obviously took on my rewards for a reason, because they ARE the power couple. And if you leave them back at camp to conspire while you're away with someone else, that's just sealing your own fate. So I had to bring them whenever there was an opportunity, so I did. Now the fact that I actually enjoyed the time I spent with them, that was just a bonus, but I definitely wanted to keep them away from each other as much as possible when I wasn't around to know what was going on.

RENE: Whenever I watch "Survivor", I always see people kind of chatting off to the side and then they take a shot of somebody over - I'm thinking, "If I saw two people off alone talking, I'm gonna beat feet over there and find out what's being said."

CINDY: And it's really hard to not have people hear your conversations where we were, because we were so very confined to a specific area, and no one wanted to go out into the jungle, because of the mosquito situation. So you try to have your conversations around camp, and it's close quarters, so you always know there's somebody talking about somebody when it's happening.

RENE: You're a zookeeper, I wanna play a real quick game with you. Word association. I want you to assign an animal to each of these players. Rafe, who would the animal be?

CINDY: Oh gosh, he would probably be some sort of primate.

RENE: Stephenie, who would she be?

CINDY: I think Stephenie would be a cat.

RENE: Lydia?

CINDY: Lydia would be...like a puppy. (laughs)

RENE: A puppy? OK. What about Danni?

CINDY: Danni would be something tall and lean and athletic...

RENE: A giraffe?

CINDY: A giraffe. That's a good one.

RENE: OK, I wanna talk about a scene. This is part of our secret scene people did not get to see last night on the show, including you. So this is Cindy and Stephenie, enjoying their little reward snack together.

[(nightvision; shots of Cindy and Stephenie eating)

CINDY (solo): There was so much food, it was ridiculous, and Stephenie and I are both in real life big eaters.

STEPHENIE (shoving food in her mouth): Oh my God, it's perfect.

CINDY (solo): Our plan was to cook it all, and have a drink, and eat a little bit. Take a break, and then eat a little bit more, and then reheat it, and take a break. Then we would cook the eggs and eat those and then maybe go to bed, and then whoever woke up first in the night, whoever stirred in their sleep, would wake the other one up so we could eat some more. We literally ate all night.

STEPHENIE (after more shots of eating): We are fat.]

RENE: OK, that's very funny. So does food take on this larger-than-life significance when you're out there eating nothing?

CINDY: I wasn't that hungry, so to speak; it wasn't like I was in starvation. It was the variety, the lack of variety, and you have this smorgasbord before you, and you can't help but take every last bite that you possibly can fit in your mouth. It really does take control of your brain.

RENE: You look like you had a good time. Cindy Hall, thanks for coming by and sharing with us.

ITA. I have said this all along. As far as I'm concerned, Steph has played a very strong, tight game. If she makes it to the FinalTwo, she deserves to win the million. However, I'm really afraid that the fact she has played the game before will seal her fate as the runner-up. :(

Rafe is becoming way too high and mighty for my tastes. There isn't one person there that would have given up that car so that the others could have one. Please. I think Cindy brought about her elimination by not SHUTTING UP about the car. She was practically rubbing everyone's nose in it.

Lydia continues to make me sick. She has done nothing, absolutely nothing to deserve being there, other than riding the coattails of others. I detest players like that.

Danni has played smart and well. If she keeps it up, I could very well see her making it to the Final Two. Can't wait for Sunday!!!

Yes, but Lydia is a good one to keep until about now. She's such a non-threat. It's good strategy. She doesn't have a chance of winning. Eliminate the others.

Exactly. Lydia is almost guaranteed to be in the Final Two because of that. Rafe, Danni or Steph would be wise to take her if they win final immunity.

I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone knows the answers.

When you are on the jury, do you get to see the votes? I think it would be helpful to see who voted off who, it might make a difference at the F2.

Once the TC's start for the members of the jury (being that whoever is voted off a particular night is the first member of the jury and so on), do they get monetary compensation? I know that those in the F4 get money - I think 2nd place gets something like $250,000.00. But what about those who made it to the jury?

DH and I were talking all about Survivor strategy while decorating our tree last night. :)

12-09-2005, 08:08 PM
don't you think that the biggest thing Steph has to overcome to the jury is that this is her SECOND chance at a million?

And why are the other soooo dumb? They never show them even THINKING about voting out Steph? And why didn't it come up yesterday that SHE is a power player? She is strong and can do the challenges.

And why does EVERYONE take Steph on the rewards with them?? I just don't get that, it is just helping her out!

I can't wait until Sunday!

PookiePrincess
12-09-2005, 08:17 PM
I'm not sure why they keep Steph around. I'd have voted her out early, after the merge. Unless they figure her playing the game before is why people WON'T vote for her if she's in the final 2.

As far as taking her on reward challenges, I agree with what Cindy said in the interview. Everyone thinks Steph is the mastermind behind who gets voted off next. Why leave her behind to plot without you? Why not just take her with you and see if you can talk to her about what's going on, maybe get on her side.

I think Sunday is going to be really interesting. I have no thoughts on who the final two will be, but I do think if Steph makes it, playing before will be a big challenge for her to overcome.

I don't think so...I think they just see the discussion with Jeff before the voting, & the reading of the votes.

I'm not sure about this, but I thought I heard somewhere that everyone who plays Survivor wins money, including all of the people who are voted out before the jury. I think it's just small amounts of money up till the jury and Final Four though. Again, not something that I know as a fact, just what I've read somewhere at some point.

I don't think the members of the jury get to see the votes, but to some extent I'm sure they can figure out how various people are voting. Also, everyone on Survivor gets compenstated; the longer you stay on, the more money you get. They are able to talk game once they're voted out. From what I know, getting kicked off can be pretty sweet too. They out of the running for the million bucks, but they get an awesome vacation out of it - lots of sight seeing, touring, eating and just enjoying the county they're in. That doesn't sound too bad!

It's more than that. I don't remember the exactly, but it's definately in the thousands. I'm thinking that it's around $5000, but that probably isn't the exact number. It doesn't all come from CBS either. They get some from the producer, and I believe another source but I can't remember...

I think they get a daily rate like they do on Big Brother. Say it's $250 a day and the first person gets voted out on day seven they would have made $1750. Something like that.

WisWis
12-11-2005, 04:41 PM
No, it isn't a daily rate, although you do make more the longer you're in the game. Everyone gets a lump sum of $2500 from the (I think) CBS and then another amount based on how far they get in the game. I'm pretty sure that the first person voted off makes about $5000 total. Once they reach the jury the amount of money jumps up to the $10k range (+ the $2500) and again goes up based on time.

YAY!!! I'm so glad Dani won! She looked great, and I agree that Stephenie looked better on the island - what is up with her eyebrows? I was saying to the TV "Calm down Steph!" LOL

I guess Dani won with 6 votes. That's why she took Steph, and not Rafe. I don't blame her for that, it IS a million bucks after all! Rafe was an idiot for 'releasing' her from her word. I would have liked a Rafe/Dani final two because it would have been a lot closer, but that's obviously what Dani thought, so she took Stephenie instead. Steph was so annoying at the final immunity challenge when she was crying! Suck it up, cry-baby!

Did anyone think that Bobby Jon might have had some work done? He looked really different. I hope we see more of him, like Jeff said, he's so endearing.

Good season overall!

Anyway, I fell asleep during the jury question part but woke up in time for Judd's questions. Telling Danni that she should ask for forgiveness? WTF? What did she ever to do Judd? He is such a pig.

I so happy Danni won over Steph. And Rafe, here's a tip. If you "release someone from their promise" to take you to the F2, you can't get mad that they actually did it!!!!

I would assume that Steph only received one vote (from Rafe). I don't know that for sure though.

I'm glad that Danni won, and I think she looked HOT last night. Her lips were driving me crazy too, but oh well. I wish Steph would have won though, but knew she didn't have a chance against either Rafe or Danni.

For next season, they are heading to an island in Panama, but I can't remember the name. From the preview, one cast member will be secluded on an island, alone, for a certain amount of time (maybe 3 days or so). I can't really remember the rest, and can't find anything on the web about it yet.

From CBS.com

CBS) After 39 days of intense competition, 16 dramatic tribal councils and seven angry jurors, it came down to two of "Survivor: Guatemala's" fiercest competitors: Danni Boatwright and Stephenie LaGrossa.

Both were in the New York studio of The Early Show Friday, the morning after Danni was announced as the winner in Los Angeles. They took the red-eye flight to make the show. Is the whole experience real to Danni yet?

"No! It's so funny," said Danni. "As soon as I landed, I turned my phone on and I had 61 messages and trying to answer them on the way back. It's crazy."

When "Survivor" host Jeff Probst started reading off the votes, Danni said she didn't know she had won until the third vote.

"Then I knew that I had won," Danni said. "But we had a little inkling. You aren't sure because you get blindsided all the time in this game. I thought it would happen again."

Danni said it was difficult to choose between Rafe Judkins and Stephenie to take to the final two.

"Sometimes, I'm ruled by my heart," Danni said, "and so that was obviously something I was dealing with … But then I also had to think about my family, and they would have just killed me if I had taken Rafe instead of Stephenie, Stephenie having a huge target on her back coming back in from playing last year."

The last immunity challenge — trying to stay on a balance beam under the broiling sun — looked difficult but Danni appeared to suffer little discomfort.

"I was doing a really good acting job," Danni said. "I had no meat on the backbone and, at that point, it was grinding into the bone. I had an advantage of being a little taller."

Stephenie agreed that height was an advantage.

"It's hard," Stephenie said. "I was just barely able to reach with my toes and I was like, 'Man, Lydia wouldn't have even been able to get on this thing.' "

If Stephenie had won that immunity challenge, she said, she would have taken Rafe to the final two.

"We had an alliance since day one," she said. "So I didn't really have that great of a shot against anybody."

When Rafe told Danni that she was no longer honor-bound to take him to the final two, Danni said she thought he was being sincere.

"That's how Rafe is," Danni said. "But it was also the worst move Rafe could make, and I know he was hating himself for making that move. I was heavily weighing on, 'I have to take Rafe.' Then I said, 'I don't have to take Rafe.' "

At the beginning of the game, Stephenie was initially welcomed with open arms. But by the end, particularly from Judd Sergeant, there was a lot of resentment toward her.

"Yeah, there always is when people take on a leadership position," said Stephenie. "You are sitting in the end, and they are sitting on the jury. I don't have regrets.

"I feel bad I never got to repay Judd, but I'm working on that."

It was on The Early Show that Danni was presented with a check for $1 million, presented by "Survivor" favorite Rupert Boneham.

"I'm going to have a good Christmas for my nieces and nephews," Danni told co-anchor Rene Syler.

But her dream, she said, is to become an adoptive parent.

"I love kids so much, and I'm 30," she said, "and I really am going to look into adopting next summer. I always thought China, but possibly now Guatemala since I've been there. I think it would be awesome. I have family that are missionaries and have traveled all over, and they have a ton of kids and they thought about doing the same thing in Guatemala. I'd like to possibly do that next summer."

As for the game she played, Danni concluded: "I think, sometimes, if you sit back and you watch and you wait for the right move to make, I think that's the smartest play you can make because, obviously, Judd's mouth got him voted off the game a little early. And I sat back and I watched and I'd like to consider myself the stealth bomber. You didn't know I was there until after I did all the damage."

I just saw Danni on Regis, and her lips looked a whole lot better.

I noticed her lips even those last few days in the jungle. It was just really pronounced when she had on that shiny lip gloss.

DH thought Stephenie looked like a street walker. :o I think it's the difference from going from a shot with no make-up, no fancy clothes, no hairdresser to really, really, really made up! I liked Stephenie's hair better in the jungle though.

Also, did Danni have hair extensions last night? Her hair looked really, really long.

Sigh. I'm disappointed. I was rooting for Steph to win this. I knew the fact that she had played the game before would be her downfall.

no her top lip was hug! maybe it was the lip gloss but it also did not help she kept licking her top teeth making them look even bigger

Here is article about Danni that was in todays Kansas City Star:

woman wins "Survivor"

Danni Boatwright earns $1 million on live finale of TV program

By GLENN E. RICE and AMBER ELLIS

The Kansas City Star

Local sports-radio host Danni Boatwright sweated and starved her way to the million-dollar jackpot of “Survivor: Guatemala.”

Without the support of a majority alliance, the Tonganoxie resident — who was rarely seen on the CBS show without her Kansas City Chiefs cowboy hat — captured the $1 million prize Sunday night in a live broadcast of the reality show from Hollywood.

Boatwright, 30, outwitted and outplayed 17 other contestants who vied through the humid Guatemala jungle.

“I felt all this pressure to go home and bring back the championship,” Boatwright said on the finale.

About 200 of her hometown supporters packed around televisions in a Tonganoxie steakhouse Sunday night to watch as she convinced a jury of her former competitors that she should go home a millionaire or just $100,000 wealthier in second place.

The group sighed while her fate was uncertain, then broke into cheers and screams when she took the top prize.

They joyfully waved signs: “Million $$$ Danni” and “It’s in the bank … $1,000,000 survivor.”

“She’s a true athlete,” family friend Barb Gangeo said at Bichelmeyer’s Steakhouse. “Whether she wins or loses, she’ll still come up to you afterward and shake your hand and tell you ‘good game.’ She didn’t change her stride; she came out of this a lady. Class wins out.”

Boatwright may use the “Survivor” stage as a fast lane to a career in the public spotlight.

“She loves sports, especially the Chiefs,” said her brother, Casey Boatwright. “I can see her in front of the camera but on the sidelines. She’s got the look, the drive and a great knowledge of sports.”

Whatever she does with her prize money, Casey Boatwright said, she will know she won it with integrity.

“She was genuine,” Casey Boatwright said. “What you saw on TV was the real deal. We’re so proud of her right now. I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.”

In an earlier interview, Boatwright’s mother, Vickie Cackler, said her daughter was an athlete who eats big, disputing talk of her ultra-thin frame. Boatwright proved this in the final night of the show when she ate the “forbidden chicken” — a charred carcass that another player had pulled from the ashes of an offering before Maya ruins.

Boatwright secured herself a spot in the final two in an immunity challenge in which she outlasted two others perching on top of a teetering platform. Boatwright stood on the platform for more than two hours.

Boatwright’s odyssey lasted 39 days on the shore of a Guatemalan lake in the shadow of Maya ruins. This odyssey included physical and mental challenges and a diet that consisted mostly of corn.

Most contestants eventually formed alliances in an effort to vote off others.

“I never thought my head was ever on the chopping block,” Boatwright said during Sunday’s finale.

Boatwright said growing up with seven brothers helped her develop a competitive edge. She was a high school athlete who competed in basketball, volleyball, cross country and track.

According to the show’s Web site, Boatwright represented Kansas at the 1992 Miss Teen USA pageant in Biloxi, Miss., and was second runner-up. She also represented Kansas at the 1996 Miss USA Pageant, where she was first runner-up to the title of Miss USA.

Well, I was rooting for Rafe but was glad to see Danni win. I knew once she picked Steph, the money was hers.

Second place gets $100,000. I know the others get money according to how long they were on the show, but I don't know of the numbers. So Steph came in with $100,000. Better than nothing!

Here is what Danni said when she voted Rafe out which I thought was interesting:
DANNI VOTES OUT RAFE

DANNI: Sorry, Rafe, but I know if the tables were turned, you'd be voting me out right now. So I have to vote you out, I think Stephenie might be the easier one to go up against. I have to think about my family, cause they could sure use that money.

I can't seem to find the transcript for the final votes. Hmm......

I thought the final three all deserved to be there and I would have been happy had any of them won. I thought it was nice that Judd made up with all the people that he had badgered on the show. You got to give him props for that. All in all, this has been my favorite survivor season next to All STars. What do you think, will Stephanie go back to the next Survivor all stars???? Go for a third time????

From everything I've read and interviews with Jeff Probst, there won't be another all stars. It was too hard for the players to separate their personal friendships with the game.

As much as I dislike Judd, I thought his comment to Dani at the final Tribal Council was right on the money; she did skate her way through the game. By far, Steph played the better game. But, that's just my humble opinion.

tbell

I guess I kind of disagree with everyone else. Steph played a good game, but I don't necessarily think it was better than Danni's.

Danni won two crucial immunities and played Rafe like a fiddle in convincing him to vote out Judd and Lydia over herself. She (like Steph last year) was the last member of her tribe. She did not eat nearly as much as some of the other members but always gave 100% to the challenges (especially being as scary skinny as she was).

Steph won 1 immunity (which she didn't really need) and (IMO) was used by Rafe to oust members of their alliance to further themselves (I think Rafe made more decisions but knew that Steph would get the heat since she already had a target on her back, Case in point, it was Danni's and Rafe's decision to vote out Judd but look who got the heat). Steph also went on more rewards (more food) and was never *really* in danger of being voted out.

I think if anyone "skated" through to a place they didn't deserve, it was Lydia. She didn't win a thing and in fact lost some challenges for her tribe.

I completely agree with you! I don't think Dani skated through, she had to have some skills to outlast both her own tribe and not get voted out of the other one. I think this is the key problem with early alliances. It gets to a point where the strength that kept them going early on is what bites them in the @ss at the end. They realize that they are all strong and now are each other's competition. I think Rafe realized that more than Steph did. Dani made it through because the alliance self-destructed. That was their own fault and doesn't make Dani weak.

I agree with tbell also. I am so glad that Danni won. I really started to dislike Steph and I truely believe that Rafe was calling the shots. And after he acted like a spoiled child when Cindi didn't give the cars away and when Danni voted him out, I am so glad he didn't win. With that said, I was impressed that he didn't eat the chicken.

I think this is the truest thing I have read on here:
I think if anyone "skated" through to a place they didn't deserve, it was Lydia. She didn't win a thing and in fact lost some challenges for her tribe.

She was even trying to use her weakness to get to final 3.

Did Steph, Lydia and Danni eating that chicken gross anyone else out? Not just because it was used as a sacrafice, but because of the way it was sacraficed and left on the ground. As soon as Steph suggested it (I think it was her idea), all I could think of was ewwww!
