I heard their new song on the radio this morning...and was really not impressed. This is coming from a huge NKOTB fan who just purchased 4 tickets to their concert in September ... :rolleyes:

Yea, I wrote in the NKOTB thread, they sounded bad... I used to be 'into' them, but not so much anymore... And they're not 'kids' anymore.

I don't get why they are doing a 'comeback.' Do they need the $$$?

Too actually sit there and watch the clip on TMZ I was horrified. Especially when Donny started saying "yo, yo, yo, ya'll getcha hands up!" I was like no no no! Stop! I could not stop doing the nerves laugh.

Gawd i'm old, real old! That's sad because I felt like I went to my first NKOTB concert YESTERDAY! :(

I thought it was pretty obvious that Donny, Joey and Jordan are the ones with any charisma/talent. Danny and Jonathan seemed like they were being hidden in the corner. I know Jonathan has some fear of crowds (or was it being in public?) anyway, I was kinda surprised he agreed to the reunion.

I felt bad for them since it was raining so hard! But yeah, I'm not going to be buying any albums, etc. It seemed odd that they were singing 'boy band' type music still and hadn't let their music mature any. Singing about kissing a girl or how great summertime is seems kinda lame when you're in your 30s.

The dancing was pretty funny - I can't imagine being 40 and dancing like you're 16. :rolleyes:

I also thought the background girls looked like some random girls they found and the girls got together and said, "so do you have a black bikini top, I have a white one, and you can wear white shorts and I'll wear my black shorts" Kind of like a variety show from high school or something. :D

I thought they sucked even back then, when I was 13 or whatever. I can't imagine why they would ever try to make a "comeback" -- ugh!! That performance was pretty craptastic.

This comeback is all wrong! They are trying to come back as a boy band, and their ages just do not work. It is just so embarrassing because of the cliche.

I think they still could have made a comeback, with a little reinvention that worked with who they are now, and taking advantage of the trends in the current music industry for performers beyond the teenie bopper years.

I can't believe all my friends who are so excited about the NKOTB reunion. Crappy or not, their shows WILL sell out. Their first show here sold out in a few minutes and they will be adding more dates because of the demand.

Maybe they're hoping to ride out the same success that the Spice Girls had with THEIR reunion tour. I'm sure they could use the $$$
