Okay, so I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed when I notice little flecks on my DH's overnight bag (he took the motorhome this weekend and brought in his overnight bag from last July:mad::eek:). I get closer thinking "what the heck is all over his stuff????" I am pretty sure it is baby maggots.:eek::mad: All.over. his bag, all over the clothes in the bag and some even on the floor. I put the clothes and bag into trash bags, tied 'em up and threw 'em outside. I then vacuumed the entire bathroom.

What else do I need to do? Are the clothes okay to wash and keep? I probably will toss the clothes just for the heebie jeebie factor. Do I need to clean with bleach?? This is my first encounter with these things.

TIA for the speedy help!!

Dont mean to gross you out even more, but I would toss out the vacuum bag too.

I would clean your bathroom with bleach or ammonia for piece of mind or even straight pine sol. Then I would just throw away the bags of stuff, I would have DH clean the motor home and figure out where the maggots are coming from and food was left out to rot or if something died.

Sorry!

ditto, toss everything and do a serious deep clean in your bathroom.

It could also be carpet beetle larvae. They eat clothes so they wouldn't even need "food" for sustenance. Definitely vaccuum now and again in a couple of days.
