My DD has been sleeping relatively ok for the last few month, except for some few weeks of sickness. However for the last few days, she has been waking up in the middle of the night and staying up for HOURS! She is not hungry. She just wants to hang out and play. Last night, she was up from 2-5. The night before, she was up from 1:30 - 4. This is crazy.
I have read somewhere that this is normal due to her physical and cognitive development. She practices her new skills and she wants a playmate.
What should I do? Any ideas? We've CIO before and I have no objections doing it, but we sleep in the same room, so I feel that as long as she sees us, she will not stop crying.
Should I move her out? She seems too small to be in a room by herself.
Any ideas?
