Help with Summer Schedule

Okay girls, I need some help from some Parents!!! I own my own dance studio in the Chicago Area. Anyhow, I want some opinions about a Summer Dance Schedule! I want/need to offer classes, however when I use to work for the local Park Districts they could never get anyone to sign up! What do you girls think! If you could sign your son or daughter up for dance in the summer, which would you perfer, nights or days!

What age group(s) would you be teaching? I know by night, both of my kids have had it (as have I!) I'd prefer a morning for younger children (maybe 6yo and under?)...older kids can handle the afternoons and evenings better.

It also depends upon demographics in your area - do you have more SAHMs or more WOHMs?

A lot of my parents are working. So that is why i was thinking go wtih teh later for the older students...like 6 and up! But do you really want to run your kid to dance in the evenings? I mean its summer! Its so nice out? THat is what I am having issues with!

I think it also depends on what area in Chicago you're in.

I mean, there are some nice places with wonderful parks and places for families to go and play and it's safe/nice.

And there are places where there's nothing close and there's no place to play (i.e. small yards, not a lot of parks, etc)

So, if the latter is true for your area, then I think classes at night would be okay. But, if the former is true, then it's a mixed bag. If it's going to be one night a week, I think parents would be fine with it being at night because it's only once a week.
