So DH and I went out to eat tonight... at Friday's I ordered a salad, he and I went through the ingredients and thought, well it'll be like 13 pts... and amazingly I had enough.... we were so so so so wrong!
Pecan crusted chicken minus blue cheese, dressing on the side, I havent subtracted anything because it isn't laid out... but it was like 20 pts!
sigh so what did you think you were doing right and do so so so wrong?

restuarant salads are always deceptive. They can hide a LOT of points in there. That's why I usually try to get friends to go to Applebee's. They have the WW menu with the points clearly labeled (for WW items).

I usually get tripped up on the salads. Now I just say forget it and get a burger when we go out to eat. They usually end up being about the same points. :)

Places now usually have the nutritional information online so I try to check it out before I go (doesn't mean I eat the healthiest thing though- hee). It is amazing how you THINK something would be low-cal/low in fat, but is wayyyy above what you'd think. Cooks/chefs like their oil and butter!!!

I love www.dwlz.com She lists out points for restaurants. She does say points may vary, but at least you get a pretty good ballpark of point values.

Anything nut encrusted should give you a hit. Small doses of nuts tend to be high in points. I've noticed salads aren't really that healthy unless the dressing is low points. I use alot of lemon now.

Kills me cause I love eating peanuts.
