View Full Version : Vancouver Real Estate Sites
Hi - I was hoping some locals would be able to help me. We are thinking of spending a year or so in Vancouver, primarily for my job, but also just for a change (and the great skiing!).
Can someone tell me any real estate websites so we can start to get a feel for localities and prices. I would be working in downtown Vancouver, and we probably would get an apartment nearby. Thanks for any help or advice.

I assume you'll be renting. Two places that you can check rental ads are vancouver.craigslist.ca or buysell.com . You could also access the classified ads from the local papers online. They are the vancouver sun and the Province. Hope that helps :)
Thanks snapdragon, that is a great help. It has definately given us an idea of the market and where to start looking. And yes, we will be renting (while we rent out our house back home).
One thing I have noticed is there are not many pet friendly places advertised, yet I thought Vancouver was considered very pet friendly as a city. Do you think most people just advertise no pets, then you negotiate that with them?

It can be hard to find places that allow pets. Depending on the type of pets you have you may be able to negotiate something. However, it might involve a hefty pet damage deposit. I've heard of a website that matches landlords and pet owners together. I'll try to track it down for you.:)
