I am sure this belongs in wedding but that forum looks dead so I will post it here.
My former nanny is from Guyana and is muslim. Her son is getting married in May and I was invited to the wedding. I cannot attend but I would like to send them a gift. Does anyone have an suggestions?? I was thinking a GC to Macys for something for the house.
they are probably of indian origin if they are from guyana. i find that money is the norm at indian weddings.

Do they live in the U.S.? Are they registered anywhere? I think money would be good as an option too. Stay away from anything involving alcohol for sure. I cannot think of any reason a GC to a local store would be offensive.

Yes they do live in the US. I don't think they are registered but I am going to check tonight.
Thanks!

Crazy! My Dad is from Guyana, is Indian, and is Muslim.
Cash is the standard gift for this kind of wedding. A gift card would work, too. :)
