CAbi clothing?

I just received an invitation from one of my friends to a CAbi show (Carol Anderson by invitation). I've never heard of this clothing line, so I was hoping some of you had and could give me the scoop.

I looked at the collection online (http://www.cabionline.com/Spring2008/splash_flash.asp), and it all looks like stuff I'll like, but I'm wondering about quality, fit, price range, etc. Basically, I want to know if it's worth going to, or if I'm going to get there and be disappointed because the quality isn't up to par, it's too expensive, etc.

A teacher at my school has a friend who sells CAbi items, and she always wears them. They look great, and aren't too terribly expensive from what I've heard. I've never gone to the parties, but many have bought items from her and they've all been happy with them.

They show the prices online under "collection". Click on an outfit and it enlarges and gives you detail with pricing.

Are you familliar with "White House/Black Market"?? I ask b/c it appears as tho the CAbi pricing is much along those lines.

Personally that's a little pricey for me for everyday wear - but if I found a pair of jeans or a shirt that I REALLY liked I might shell it out. My one concern would be not being able to try it on tho. I'd imagine they don't bring a range of sizes of every item.

I've been to a show before and was just invited to another (not going). The clothes are good quality, I think, but yes a little $$$ for me as well. IIRC, the rep did bring most of the stuff from the collection w/ her, but kgif is right in that there is not a range of sizes in every item. Honestly, if I was going to spend the $$$, I'd rather go to Nordstrom or wherever and buy clothes there. It's not like CAbi stuff is unique/one of a kind, kwim?

It does look like decent stuff - very similar to WH/BM or Ann Taylor in style and price. The "collection" names crack me up, though..."the optimist," "the hopeless romantic," and "the dynamo" all look pretty darn similar to me!

CAbi is all the rage with the crowd I run with - the quality is very good, maybe a bit on the pricey side. The parties are usually a lot of fun though!
