Do you think we need to include the ushers at the head table, or is it not a big deal?

We are trying to do things a bit different and have 3 round tables where the long table usually goes. 1 table will be FH, Me, my parents and his parents. Then, the two other tables will be for the bridal party and their dates.

If we dont include the ushers we can do 4 and 4, if we do include them, the tables will have to be 6 and 6. Not a big deal, I just dont know what the right thing to do is.

Thanks for your help!

Ushers are not typically seated at the head table(s).
If you are concerned with space, then don't worry about it....I've never been a wedding where the ushers sat with the head table. Usually they are family members and they sit with their families.

Ushers are not seated at the head table (usually), but it is really up to you on how you want to do it. At my wedding they were seated with their dates and family members.

Thanks to both of you. The one usher is my cousin and the other is a good friend, but I dont feel like they need to sit up there with us. The only reason I really want the rest of the bridal party up there is because my 2 sisters are in it. Otherwise Id do a sweetheart table to just us and our parents.
I just wasnt sure if we were "supposed" to have them up there with us.

Every wedding I have been to have had the ushers at the head table...but seeing as you arent doing a "typical" long head table, I think you can do it however youd like.

I love how you are seating the wedding party with their dates. That is such a nice idea. :)

Hey girl...as you already know, our Ushers will be seated at the head table with us.....BUT that was b/c he just went and told his Usher that he owuld be, meanwhile I am in the back ground making knife slitting motions to my thraot to tell him "NO NO NO they DONT" LMAO!

Whatever you decide will be great, but like the previous girls have said, traditionally, they dont....

I have to say that I've only been to weddings where the Groomsmen acted as Ushers before the ceremony. Therefore they were in the wedding party and at the head table!
