I bought this dress (http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=275697&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results) and need shoes and accessories. I want a funky, interesting pairing with the shoes, but I am not sure what direction to go. I thought these might be fun if the colors work together in person. http://www.piperlime.com/Asset_Archive/PLWeb/Assets/Product/581/581332/main/pl581332-00p01v01.jpg

What do you think? Do these shoes suck with this dress? Any other suggestions?

Hmm, that's a tough one. Would you be wearing the dress at night? If so, I think the shoes you posted would possibly work if you somehow could push up the sleeves and made it more spring-y or summer-y, if that makes sense. It seems a very fall/winter type of dress with the long sleeves, shiny material and dark fabric so I might stick with a pump that could work for during the day or night. I would keep it simple too so that emphasis is on the dress and the tuxedo detail on the bodice of the dress.

Here's my initial thought:

*round black patent leather pumps, either a peep toe or without.
*regular black leather round toe pump heel.

I think either of these would go really well with the funky vibe of the dress.

A round toe black mary-jane shoe might work too.

I'm sure others have better ideas!!! :)

I will be wearing it at night. I do have patent black pumps and I definitely think that will work, but I was hoping for a dress/shoe combo that is a bit funkier. I want a shoe that is somewhat unexpected.

I actually really like the ones that you originally posted! They are pretty - yet funky - and definitely look like they'd go great with the dress!

I think the shoes match well with the color of the dress (youve got the blue one, right?), but for some reason I'm stuck on the fabric. I also agree with the PP about the dress being kinda fall/winter and the shoe being more spring-y.

All that said, I'm sure it would look fine; I'm just weird about those types of things.
