We have decided we will be getting DS a train table for his birthday and I was wondering if there was one that was consistantly recommended. I have read good reviews about Kidcraft, Melissa and Doug, and Brio. We prefer a natural wood table but more importantly it has to be durable and come with or have the option of adding storage drawers underneath. Thanks!

Around the holidays Costco carries a Kidcraft one that has been very durable in our home and if you have room for a large time is a great buy. Around $100-$150 for a table, two trundles a bunch of track and buildings and trains.

I second the Costco recommendation. I got it for my kids this Christmas, and they love it! The train tracks have some neat features, and I love the two big trundle drawers underneath. And you definitely cannot beat the price - I think it was around $150.

Third that recommendation. We just got one for Christmas too, and we love it. It's very durable. My kids have been beating it up, and there's been no damage. I love the storage trundles.

Thanks for all the recommendations ladies, unfortunately we missed the boat with the Cosco train table and DS's birthday is in June but I will definitely look into Kidcraft...though it kills me that we will be paying so much more!
