Anyone ever been there? In the summer? Any suggestions? Advice?

DH has been there, though he wants me to add it's been 12+ years. He says don't miss the view from White Face Mountain. It's spectacular.

We went for a mini-moon after our wedding in June. It's been three years...
We ate at the Cottage at Mirror Lake Inn, which was great for a casual meal. We also ate at the Inn's restaurant, which was spectacular (though expensive).
There was a little pizzeria downtown (sorry can't remember the name, but it's right near the movie theater) and that was good. It hit the spot.
We had snacks and beers at the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery - fun spot and good beer.
Finally, we had a great meal at the Boat House Restaurant. It's right on the water and we sat outside and enjoyed the view.
As far as fun stuff to do, we walked around the lake, strolled around downtown, went to he Olympic Hockey center - where the Miracle on Ice occurred, drove up to Whiteface Mountain... we were into relaxing and also spent a lot of time just lying by the pool or sitting by the lake...

Thanks! My FIL, BIL, and DH are taking a big hike one day that we're there...my SIL has a snake phobia and hates hiking, so we're planning a spa day at the Mirror Lake Inn for the women, yay!
We're going this weekend, Saturday-Monday.
Anyone else?
