Wedding Nightmares Anyone!!!!!!!!!

So far i've had 3 wedding nightmares!!! :confused:And all 3 are almost the same thing....That something goes wrong the day of the wedding and i cancel the wedding with guest and everything...Fh says is because im stressed out and im scared things wont be done by that day!! Who knows maybe his right, maybe his not :( !!!!!!!!!!

1st dream:
Is the day of the wedding im running late like usual :rolleyes: and everything is ready and everyone is waiting for me................But im running like crazy looking for someone to do my hair and Makeup and no one wants to, so Fh goes to me to see whats wrong and after i tell him we decide to cancel the wedding for another day! :cool:

2nd dream:
Im walking down the ile and GUESS what im wearing pajamas..lol..so i turn to my sis in law and tell her to look for my dress so i could change and she just stands there and tells me theres no dress...So again we Cancel the wedding! :rolleyes:

Last nights dream:
Its the day of the wedding my My fh sis and mom get there with the wedding decor nice by the way(Flowers, centerpieces)theres only one problem its purple and My wedding is PINK!! so after that Drama i go to the reception site and the chairs have no chair covers!!!there just there Green ugly chairs...Plus we forgot to call the reception cordinator to let her know what color we wanted our Napkins to be :rolleyes: And like if that wasent enough I have no Dress Cause in my dream i wont get it till a few months...so Yes we Cancel again!!!

I had 21 nightmares over the course of planning my wedding - I wrote them all down in my WC journal. After the first couple, it started to get kind of funny, and I enjoyed being able to write them down. I should go look up the one that included a marching band and post it here - it was a doozy. :)

i keep having a dream where i'm trying to take a shower to get ready, and i keep peeling off cloths, but there's another layer underneath. I've gone through quite a few layers in my sleep, but can't ever get to skin!

Yup. I think I've had 3 so far but I can only remember one. I don't remember if I wrote them in my journals or not. I should go check.

In the first one (and the one I remember), it was the day of the wedding and nothing was done! I was wearing a dress I hadn't picked out (but it fit me for some reason) and I had no shoes. At some point I figured it didn't matter I had no shoes bc no one would see my feet anyway. Then somehow I got my hands on a pair of strappy sandals, but I remember thinking they weren't appropriate as I would sink into the grass. The wedding itself was at this historic mansion that I apparently had never seen but I was thinking it looked ok anyway. We hadn't looked at it bc it was the cheapest and we just went with it bc of that. At the last minute, I realised I had no veil but somehow my mom whipped out a veil from her purse. It was the wrong length and the wrong color but everyone told me I couldn't get married without a veil so I figured I'd just make do. Oh yeah and my toenails were not done :rolleyes:. I realised I had no shoes when I saw my toenails. I remember thinking if I could find a non-strappy pair of shoes the morning of, it would be ok as no one would see them then.

I think I had this dream bc I kind of feel like we are being a bit relaxed about wedding planning seeing as how we are getting married in April...

I had many nightmares before my wedding, too. I had the same two over and over, with several random ones sprinkled in. The first recurring nightmare was one in which nothing was ready- I hadn't done anything and the wedding was a disaster. The second one, which is really weird, was that everything was ready and perfect, but I forgot to wash my hair and have it done, so I had to wear my veil with a nasty, greasy ponytail. Neither one, obviously, came true. :) Don't worry, your dreams just show that you are very invested in this wedding.

I had my first bride dream a couple of weeks ago - it was really horrifying in the dream, but once I woke up and recognized it for what it was, it was hilarious!! It was your typical "anything that can go wrong will" type dream.

We're getting married in Charleston, SC, but live in Michigan. Anyway, we forgot the rings at home (like, in Michigan)...I kept losing my bouquet...I had my makeup and hair done and ended up looking like Bozo the Clown...FH' tux was four sizes too small...I stained my dress with coffee...our musicians couldn't make it...there was something wrong with our marriage license...they were having work done on the chapel, so there were power cords and tools and ladders and fat men with buttcracks showing everywhere...the officiant forgot the words to the ceremony because she kept laughing at the repairmen...my photographer was like an hour late...my parents showed up...

LOL, I'm not kidding, all this happened in the dream! But we still got married, and I remember feeling so relieved when it was done. The funny thing is that I'm not stressed about our wedding at all - never really have been. It's a fairly simple affair. So why I would have a nightmare about everything going wrong is beyond me!! :p

LOL! Oh man, the timing is so strange with this thread! I had one last night!!

I've had a few in the past months, so it's nothing new, but it's just freaky during the dreams because I am thinking to myself the entire time "this isn't at all how we planned things...why are we doing this?!".

I've been EXTREMELY stressed out about wedding stuff lately (in fact, I've pretty much just taken a break for awhile until after the move and things settle down a little). I'm sure that's why I've been having these dreams.

Anyway- it's just nice to know I'm not the only one!! :)

i had a ton of nightmares before the wedding.

the reoccuring theme of them all was that i had forgotten to book everything, i mean everything, and the guests were arriving--had no wedding clothes, no food, no decorations, nothing!

to ease your fears, in reality, everything came together beautifully for the wedding! :)

I had my first wedding nightmare last night! I burned my forehead with a curling iron while doing my hair, the photographer only had a Polaroid camera, FH was wearing his soccer uniform at the altar and there were bees in all the flowers. Everyone went home from our wedding with welts.

I started a very stressful job in advertising a few months after getting engaged. I deal with a lot of numbers and contracts during the day. I keep having a dream where I am walking down the aisle and my veil starts to come off. I look back and there is a huge calculator with big plastic buttons on my long veil. It is weighing down my veil and pulling my veil off!

I told my fiance about this and he said he is sure that a psychologist would have a lot of fun analyzing that one!

I've had a few dreams like that. Mine are always that it is the day of the wedding and I realize I haven't done any more planning than I have actually done in my waking life. So it's like I forgot to order my dress, I never picked out flowers or a cake, there are no musicians, etc. They aren't ever very long, but always extremely stressful. Predictably, as I have crossed more things off the long, long list they come less frequently.
