I guess it's not really a surprise.

I'm honestly shocked he lasted this long. His heart didn't seem in it.

To repeat the words of Jay Leno: "If Fred Thompson stops campaigning, how will we know?"

I just liked his voice. I guess being an actor he had that part down. Being in SC we actually heard from him some but he never seemed real enthusiastic, oh well. I'd like to seem him involved somehow with whoever does win.

His heart was never really in it and his supporters wanted it way more than he did. It's for the best. Maybe he'd be a good VP for McCain.

And their combined age would be? I think McCain better pick someone significantly younger and um, more energetic if he wants to win.

Well, he could mollify the Rush-types who hate McCain and are vowing to sit out the election if he's the nominee. That was my thinking. I don't know how old he is, but I guess it's true his health hasn't been great either.
