For those who've had an early (in the first six weeks or so) miscarriage, how long did it take for your HCG levels to drop below 5?

m/c #1: about a week. I only went in twice for blood draws to make sure they were decreasing, but they weren't ever very high to begin with.

m/c #2: I was further along (8w), and honestly, they never checked to make sure they went back down.

Early miscarriage (well, more accurately chemical pregnancy as never made it to the US stage - it was about 5 weeks). Took 10 days for levels to drop below 5 but never made it above 40 or so.

I'm waiting to hear from the Dr. right now to see if they dropped. Last Tuesday at 15 dpo, before the miscarriage, my levels were only at 29 (I know - so low). I miscarried Saturday and had my beta today (Friday). So, I am hoping they are back down soon. I'll let you know when I hear. I was wondering this as well. Thanks for asking.

I don't know, exactly, but I never went in for a test after my 1st m/c. After the 2nd I went in 3 weeks or so after, and they were down to 0, but I don't know when they got there.

I have an answer to my own question now...

M/c started on 11/30-12/1 (as far as I can tell) at five weeks. Level on 12/3 was 158; on 12/10 it was 93; on 12/18 it was down to 7. I have to go in one more time to make sure it gets below 5.

I was around 8 weeks when I miscarried. They tested me after my ultrasound when we found out the baby's heart wasn't beating ... my levels were at 40,000. By Monday, about four days later, they were at 20,000, and they never tested me after that.

I was about 6 weeks along. I started bleeding on a Wednesday and it lasted about 5 days. I took and HPT the next Wednesday, and it was very negative. Not even a hint of a line, so I didn't bother getting a blood test.

With my 8 week loss, it took 4 weeks, with my 5 week chem pg, it was only 2. My levels weren't that high to begin with, only around 100 or so.

Well, the Dr. finally got back to me and my levels are below 2. That test was taken last Friday - 7 days after the miscarriage. Like I said, my levels were super low to begin with, but there is a gage for anyone wondering. I hope things get back to normal for you soon.

I was about 8 weeks when I had my miscarriage. I got my blood work back for my m/c that happened 4 weeks ago and it's finally going down, measuring at 27. I have another testing next week and hopefully it's going down some more. Just anxious for AF to come so I can have some normal cycles!

I was about 5.5 weeks when I miscarried and it took approximately 8 weeks for my HCG levels to get under 6. It was grueling, especially when the numbers jumped one week.
