There used to be a November board on the Old site, and I can't find it. If I do, I'll come back and post the link to the cakes.... there were tons!

Keep in mind that your cake decorator and baker can probably do what you want, even if your photo is of a round cake...

This is very unique, and I think they're oval layers...

Another oval layer...

Reenie- I've never meet someone else with that name, is it your real name, my mom has called me reeny all my life I'm not sure why but it's nice to have something different :D and I loved the ideal of chocolate but FH isn't a fan of chocolate at all so we will go with an ivory buttercream hopefully creamcheese flavor.

keep the pics coming I'm sure others may be able to use yalls wonderful ideas

atlanta_bride- thanks for all the pumpkin ideas I love them...
I wonder if it would be possible to have a small pumpkin cake topper with our monogram carved into it??? or would it be to heavy for the cake????

It's not my real name, but my real name is Maureen and my family has called me Reenie since I was born. :D I love it!

No, this is possible. The baker will stick little wooden or plastic dowels into the top layer to support a heavier topper. Our topper was a Beleek china piece, and they put the dowels in ours. They can't be seen. It was great! :)

This is the cake (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/landrea43/album?.dir=fcdb&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos) my baker is using for inspiration. It will not actually be chocolate; instead, a coppery brown fondant. Instead of flowers, there are lots of seasonal options, such as mini pears, lady apples, berry accents. I found that most of the cakes were so white and did not seem very fall so I was happy to hear she could do pretty much any color without changing the flavors.
