I was looking for peppermint "holiday" ice cream today and couldn't find any. Does anyone who makes it? I haven't had it in years, but I used to love the ice cream log with the peppermint tree in the middle.

Edy's makes one, I think it's called Peppermint Stick. Also comes in Light. :) I know Edys is regional and I can't remember what the other name for it is. I think Breyer's may also make one--not sure.

Brigham's also makes Peppermint Stick year-round. They may be Boston-area only, though. I think the other name for Edy's is Dreyer's, but I wouldn't swear it.

Brigham's is Boston only (I'm in Boston). And, yep, it was Dreyer's I couldn't think of. You'd think since I typed Breyer's it would have jogged my memory. :rolleyes:

I had some of the Edy's on Thanksgiving-soooooo good! I looked for it in the store a week ago and no dice. I would kill for some right now!

Peppermint Stick ice cream is my favorite, and Brigham's makes a great one. If you have a Dairy Queen nearby you should also try their new peppermint blizzard, I tried it today for the first time and it was delish. Pieces of peppermint candy swirled with chunks of dark chocolate.

Blue Bell makes the yummiest peppermint ice cream ever - I like it way better then Blue Bunny's. But you can only get Blue Bell ice cream in the South. :(

The Brighams version is really yummy, but I've never seen it outside of Boston. I wish I could remember who makes that peppermint log-- have you tried Friendly's or Carvel?

Dreyer's is the name for Edy's over here. I love peppermint ice cream! I always get excited when I see it in stores around holiday time!

I still havent been able to find one. Does anyone know if Schwans makes it year round? Im thinking of ordering from them.

Friendly's makes a really good peppermint stick ice cream - not sure how widespread Friendly's is, though.

Of course, my favorite minty ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie. Minty with chunks of Oreo...mmm. :)

OMG, this is my guilty pleasure ice cream. I fell in love with it in college and since we were poor, walking to the store and getting our own pint of B&Js was like a treat. Of course this was 15 years ago (!!) and I could eat a pint without caring! :o
