Love it!!!!
Very interested to see what happens on Sunday. I like what Tomlin said about the game: "This isn't Appalachian State against Michigan."

Oh my - I really, really want the Steelers to win this weekend! Both because I want them to win in general, and because I cannot STAND the Patriots.

M&M I had no idea you were a closet Steeler Fan! Woot! I love Tomlin. I like his calmness and his approach with the media.
I'm thinking that Sunday could be like a Pitt vs. WVU thing and it would be so fantastic to whoop NE at home. (Come on, wasn't the Pitt game INSANE?)

I'm a HUGE Colts fan, and don't really care for the Steelers OR the Pats, but am SOOOOO cheering for the Steelers this weekend!!!

Steelers fan checking in!!!! Can't wait for the game plus I do not like Tom Brady. Although this year he is my QB for my fantasy football team.
I like Tomlin but I miss Coach Cowher. He put the fear of God into those players and it was so fun to watch him!

I'm so geeked for the game today. They tend to play at the level of their opponent. Crappy team, they play lousy (AZ) great team, great game. I would love to see them smash the Pats. My brother is there at the game!

I am so sad, we don't get the game here. I HATE the Pat's and smug, obnoxious Tom Brady. I hope the Steelers kick all kinds of ass today! My dad is a huge Steeler's fan, and I really just want someone to end the Patriot's winning streak. If someone wanted to post updates, that would be awesome! I can't believe we don't get the damn game...

Yes that did suck. The second half of the game was just horrible. All week I just kept saying that I hope the steelers played well. They did play well in the first half, but wow the second half sucked.

Sucktastic. When they held Ward at the one I knew it was over. What up with Heinzy anyway? My only hope is that if we can make it to the playoffs maybe we can beat them there. Beating them twice may have been tough. We do well in grudge matches so maybe next time. But ugh, that hurt...

Ugh, that was painful to watch towards the end. I really wanted them to stick it to Tom Brady, especially after he mouthed off to them. Oh well.

I think the team has been showing the cracks of injuries and a rookie head coach for several weeks. Even though these are their first back-to-back losses, they really didn't play very well against Cincy. I guess you can forgive them for the Miami game (the Dolphins are actually not that bad and the weather/field conditions were atrocious), but they still should have been able to score more than a field goal. I also think that Ben has been hurting for a while and maybe was more seriously injured than they let on. He just hasn't looked like the same QB that started the season.
And if they can't beat the Rams, there's no way they can even hope to survive even the first playoff game- if they make it that far.
(I still love them though!!)

I still love them, too. I am glad that it seems most people are really giving Tomlin a chance and not just immediately saying "HE SUCKS"! Our defense was just not in the game yesterday and it is what really got us I think. They must redeem themselves on Thursday nite!

Don't get me wrong- I really like Tomlin and I think he's done very well. I just think that the offensive play calling has been lacking, especially in the second half.

Finally another win!!!! Now what really sucks is having to hope for a Bengals win on Sunday against the Browns.

To have to cheer for ANY team from the neighboring state!
jrdhbunny
12-21-2007, 01:29 PM
I don't think they would actually do it, but there's part of me that worries that Cincy will throw the game to try and keep the Steelers from winning the AFC North. It was the Steelers that knocked them out of the playoffs last year and the year before. Hmmmm...
Oh well, we can set our sights just on making the playoffs and hope that the Jets beat the Titans.:)

Oh that would suck. I hate that we have to wait so long for a game now, but will be watching the other teams! What do you think about Parker being out for the rest of the season?
jrdhbunny
12-22-2007, 08:50 PM
I honestly don't know. Davenport played really well on Thursday, but he's just such a different back than Parker. In a way, that could be good as defenses won't have prepared for him like they will have for Parker. And this other guy- Carey Davis (I had to look up his name)- he seemed to do pretty well too. But I think they'll probably go to the air more- I hope Heath Miller gets more involved than he has the past few weeks.
One thing they're not talking about much, which could mean that it's a non-issue, is the possible sprain that Ben suffered. At least he has a long week to rest.
As much as it pains me to write this: go Jets, and most of all, go Bengals!

It is painful to have to cheer on the Bengals. My DH is loving it as he is a Bengals fan. So far they are doing a good job for us.

So it looks like the Steelers want to play Jacksonville in the first round by the way they're playing. Hey, why win your regular season finale and have a perfect division record, right?

Oh the heartbreak!!
All in all, I still think it was a great season, albeit with a crummy ending. For a first year head coach, I think Tomlin did a mighty fine job, especially compared to last year. And of course, I was thrilled to see Ben have such a stellar season. :D (We won't mention the three interceptions in the first half last night ;)).

The first half of the game saturday made me get up and do laundry! I couldn't take it anymore! The second half was definatly something to watch though. Too bad we lost! I cant hate a friend of mine is a rookie for Jacksonville.
