Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone has the Ronoco Showtime Rotisserie or knows someone who does. You know the set it and forget it infomercial.
I am considering getting one to roast meat this Christmas to have space in the oven for other things. Cook more than one thing at a time sort of thing.
Any reviews would be greatly appreciated.

My ILs have one and I have never seen them use it. My DHs old housemate had one and we used to use it. It made tasty meat. Clean up was messy however.
We have a electric roasting oven. We only use it a few times a year for turkeys and hams but it is great. It was about $50 and is made by Rival. I think it was purchased from Target.

My husband got one for me a few birthdays ago with all the trappings (accessories) that you could get with it because I had wanted it for a long time. I used it and hated the way the food tasted! My biggest reason for wanting it was to do chicken legs and pork loins. Neither was good in my opinion, and I ended up Freecycling it early this year after having it take up precious storage space in our cabinets.

My grandparents bought the small one... and gave it to me last year because they didn't use it much. Honestly, we have had the best roasts out of it that I have ever cooked! And it does keep your oven empty.
Cleanup - we just put all the parts in the dishwasher and then wiped down the inside.
Downside - it does take up a lot of space (we keep it in storage room as opposed to the kitchen) and it is kinda loud (we are open concept living/kitchen).

Thanks for the reviews. I'm thinking of getting the small one and store it in a hall pantry. I I've heard from some that it makes the food tasty and others say it doesn't do anything special.
My concern is that the meat might be tastless and dry, but If not I could really use the extra cooker and I wouldn't have to stay up all night watching the meat. Plus the house will stay cool.

Nope, in fact the roasts we have done are the most juicy - even when well cooked (which I generally hate) because it is basted in the juices from the meat.
We did use it a lot in the summer and it's a lot cooler then the oven. ANd if you had a nice patio/backyard you COULD set it up outside. One thing I would suggest, I have a glass 'cutting board' that I set it on because it does get pretty hot on the outside.

Good to know thanks for the head up on that, wouldn't want to get burned. I think from all the reviews I have gotten from here and elsewhere I'm definately going to get one. I like my meat almost well done so it will be good not to have to worry about it being dried out and tasteless.
Thanks so much for the review!

I love ours. I've done roasts for numerous big parties (birthday, holiday) and everyone raves about it. I love that you can just put the meat in and not worry about it until it is done. And no, my meat has never been dry.
Cleanup is not an issue as everything goes in the dishwasher. Storage is a bit of a bear because it is big...I store mine out in the garage on our extra fridge.
I think Walmart has them for a really good price.
