We're taking DS to get his picture with Santa this week. I swung by the other day and got the prices. The cheapest thing is $15 for a keychain and 3x5! The priciest package is $40. You can buy the jpg file for $10 with any photo purchase so for $25 I could get the keychain/3x5 and make my own prints.
So outrageous! But the santa setup is really nice.

Last year I paid 20 something dollars for the cd with the image so I could make copies for family. But if you do this just make sure they show you the image, I got home and had the little boy before us. I was so irritated and asked them to mail me the CD since I live 30 minutes from that mall and wasn't going back.
This year DD freaked out in line waiting for santa so we didn't get pics done.
I think the CD is the best deal since you can make unlimited copies and the quality is better than a scan of a print. You can buy keychain/ornaments and make your own.

My city had santa downtown and they took a digi pic for you, printed it on a cheapy printer and emailed it to you for a $5 donation to XYZ charity. They also let you take your own pics.
Last year we went to the mall and it was $15 for a 3x5.

The cheapest thing is $15 for a keychain and 3x5! Yep. I ended up purchasing this, and I hated the picture. Nobody is "allowed" to take their own pictures. We have a "Santa's Station" through our park district, where you can take your own pictures for free. I wish I would have known about it earlier.

Santa visits our local Christmas parade the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it's a take-your-own pictures setup.

Last year was his 1st XMAS and the picture came out terrific so I bought the priciest package and I think it was darn near $50. The photos were gifted to various relatives for the holidays.
This year we haven't tried to do it yet, but when we do, I'll be downgrading. We don't *need* fifty bucks worth of Santa this year.
