Who we are:

We are a group of women who for 1 reason or another want to shed a few (or more) lbs. We need the encouragement of others no matter their size or goal and we thrive in an atmosphere where we can all support one another.

Want to join the fun?!?

We welcome one and all. It doesn't matter what diet you are on (if any) or how many miles a week you run (if any) we will all find lots of help and support here.

Feel free to join at any time during the challenge.
It's better to join NOW than to wait until we start a new challenge!

Oh no! I'm sorry! I totally bailed! I had the worst month for my weight, and I couldn't bear to get on the scale. It was halloween, then my birthday, and now thanksgiving. I feel like i didn't stand a chance. I would like to re-join, but I will need a starting weight. ugh. I will try to get one tomorrow. I'm SCARED! I go back to work on monday (from maternity leave) and I have NOTHING in my closet that fits. ACK!

Hello All! I'm joining this thread with the hope of losing some weight that I've gained over the last few years. I haven't gotten to the point where I need to purchase new clothes, but my pants are starting to feeling a bit snug. I was super excited when I weighed myself this morning, but I think that in reality, I lost about 2-3 lbs. Before Thanksgiving, my weight would hover around 140/141. The 143 was most probably with the additional poundage from turkey day weight.

It could be worse but honestly, I'm really disappointed. I thought I would lose more this week just from being so active, and I didn't think I ate that badly. It's proving nearly impossible to find the energy to exercise either before or after work, especially with a baby to play with in the evening. This should be a good week for me, so I'm hoping to get down to 155. The really sad thing is that when I came home from the hospital after having him, I was 154...and then gained seven pounds for no reason. yuck. But i'm optimistic for this week! :-) Let me go exercise.....

:eek::eek::eek: Wow! I can't believe this - it must be the new diet my Naturopath has put me on - no sugar, no yeast products (bread), no refined starches etc. I guess it's the perfect diet to be on over the holidays :)

Hopefully I can keep following it for the 12 days I'm at the ILs over xmas.

I'm going to sit out this challenge, too. Not only is my sleeping/eating all off, but there's apparently something going on with my brand-new scale. :mad: I went to the doctor right after Thanksgiving and weighed in at 9 pounds less than my home scale said just a couple of hours before. Plus I can't get it to give me the same weight twice in a row (stepping on and off). But when I calibrate it with hand weights it seems to be right. So I'm frustrated and have to figure out how I'm going to weigh in.

So, I could beat myself up about this but i'm not going to. Going back to work and having an infant start daycare, and then having both of us promptly get sick, well, I know I can do better but I don't blame myself up to this point. I'm also having a hard time being motivated to do weight watcher points. When I try to adhere to that, I feel like i'm starving all day long. I'm thinking of re-joining a gym, at least until it warms up outside. I've always been a hard core exerciser, and i'm sure that would make a big difference.

So this is shaping up to be the worst Christmas break of my life. I barely made it through the last weeks of school due to a sinus infection, had just a couple of healthy days to do my christmas shopping, then came down with a stomach flu, and my 4 month old baby is in the hospital with a respiratory virus (and my husband has been sick with a cold for the past week.) I've been too sick and stressed to eat. Will hopefully be back with an updated weight tomorrow. pfft

First, happy new year and congratulations to everyone who met their goal this time, or didn't gain over the holidays! THose two things are great accomplishments!

I'm happy with how I did in this challenge. My weight is on a definite downward track now, and I hope I can continue it. My husband got me tae bo amped for Christmas and I can't wait to use it. Spencer is home from the hospital and recovering slowly from his respiratory virus. He mainly just has a cough now. I'm going to head over to the new challenge board and get going in that one.
