Our anniversary is tomorrow and I have yet to buy a gift for my DH. I would like to stick to the cotton/china idea but most of the good ideas seem better suited to me than him (he's not super into robes, etc).
What did you give your DH for your 2nd Anniversary? I would love to get ideas.
Thanks!

We took a vacation, so there wasn't an exchange of any substantial gifts. The trip was our gift to each other.

A new set of bed sheets. Although it was a gift from me to him, we both got to enjoy them in the end. :p

We did a trip as well.
I like the sheet set idea. Or really nice towels?

A hammock. It sounds silly, but there's nothing better than laying in the hammock with your sweety on a nice cool summer evening, watching ther stars. ;)

I made a scrapbook for DH with pictures from when we started dating through current. I didn't bound it so that I could add pages to it so that book would never be "complete" and I could always add pictures of all the fun times we are going to have.

We splurged on a really nice dinner. We're big foodies but don't have an unlimited budget, so we save fancy places for special occassions.
I also like the idea of sheets. You can also get them monogramed with your new joint name.

I got him concert tickets and we went away for a long weekend trip.

He bought me a glider/ottoman (cotton covered cushions) and I (we...joint accounts and he makes more money than me) am paying to have a cottonwood tree cut down from our front yard and to have grass planted instead. His gift is a delayed gift, as our anniversary was a month and a half ago. He also gets the short end of the stick on his gift cause he gets to mow said grass. :p
Our 2nd anniversary is tomorrow too! I couldn't come up with any good cotton ideas, and he wanted a watch, so that's what I went with. He got me a Coach purse, which I guess has cotton somewhere in it ;) What about a nice jacket or clothes?

Um, hmm. I remember we went away for the weekend, and I remember what my husband got me (a Burberry jacket), but I am blanking on what I got him. I know it was cotton, though, b/c we kept up w/ the 'traditional' gifts until our third year when we both slacked on leather. I always try to get him something keepsake and something thematic, but I have no clue on either. I'll post back if he remembers - sorry I guess this wasn't very useful!

Happy Anniversary! Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary as well.
I'm giving him flight lessons. He's been wanting them for years and we can afford them.
Not at all keeping with a cotton theme, but we don't really keep to that very well.
we are going away for the night. also, i might make him a cd of his fave songs. he has actually been asking me to do that for awhile now.

DH is supposed to choose a tool for his gift and he hasn't decided yet (our anniversary was two weeks ago). He is trying to decide between a Craftsman tool chest on wheels and an air compressor. I think that's insanely boring, but it makes him happy.
My gift was him spending 10 hours cooking an amazing meal. As you can tell, we don't bother going by the traditional gifts.

I'm in the same predicament. Our second anniversary is later this month.
DH said I could just get him some college shirts (Wisconsin mostly) from a store that just opened up by us. I know he wants them, and it would fit the cotton, but it just seems so...boring to me. I'm probably going to do that because I'm taking him to a football game as a surprise birthday present in September and he'll want to gear.
I think I'm getting a sewing maching I've been subtly (;) ) hinting about for about two years.
