View Full Version : Rolling out pie crust?

Just wonder if anyone has tips for getting a somewhat round crust? I have problems getting them round or almost round so any tips would be great.

When you roll it, turn it 1/8 each time - not 1/4. Turning it 1/4 turn makes it square so do half that - an 1/8th turn.
Funny you should ask - Sara Moulton JUST had this tip on TV in the last day or so. :)

Start with a round ball of dough and flatten it out with the palm of your hand to create a disk to start with. Then rotate it as you are rolling it out (by actually separating it from the wax paper if you are using that) which will help keep it form sticking when you need to pick it up later on.
