Has anyone ordered from Omaha steaks? Were their meats good? I am thinking of ordering some meat from them, but I was hoping someone had a review to share.

DH and I received a gift package two Christmas' ago and were very happy with them. Then they sent us a special price package which we also bought. We didn't have anything from them that we didn't like, either beef or chicken, or sides.

ILs sent us some a few years ago. It was all very good quality. The price list we got seemed really expensive though, but if that doesn't bother you, we thought it was a good product.

It's good meat, but also expensive, so I only buy it now and then when I get a really good sale deal.

Love Omaha Steaks. I'm on their email mailing list and I get good deals from them all the time. For example, I just got an offer this week for $49 (64% savings) and free shipping for:
2 (5 oz.) Filet Mignons,
2 (5 oz.) Top Sirloins,
4 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks,
4 (4 oz.) Omaha Steaks Burgers,
6 (5.75 oz.) Stuffed Baked Potatoes,
1 (6 inch) Chocolate Lover's Cake

Yep, we like them and get them on special occasion or when there is a good deal. I love the stuffed Baked Potatoes to death!

Their boneless skinless chicken is awesome. We always order chicken, burgers, pre-cooked bacon and top sirloins (and sometimes flat iron steaks and filets). If you have a store near you, they always have after holiday sales which are great and their online sales aren't bad either (plus a lot of times they offer free shipping). The only things we haven't liked have been some of the stuffed chicken breasts, the pot roast and the steak tips.

I don't eat meat, but I placed an order for dh earlier this year. He says it's the best meat he's ever had, and I'm no longer allowed to buy meat at the grocery store. He really loves the hamburgers! They are always running specials.
I think they are good but I wouldn't say they are the best. Price wise I think the meat we get at "gourmet" grocery stores such as Wegmans and Whole Foods are WAY better. And we grill out a lot. Pretty much every night from early Spring into late Fall. They are definitely better they what we can get at your normal grocery store such as Safeway ... Shoppers Food Warehouse .. Giant .. etc. tho.
I must say I LOVE their "Potatoes Au Gratin" tho and would order those even if I wasn't ordering meat:

Now I'm hungry :)

Huh, I guess I'll be the lone dissenter here. A store opened nearby about a year ago, so we thought we'd try them out. We bought a sampler package of a bunch of steaks. The filet mignons were gristly, the burgers tasted like those crappy pre-packaged ones available at the grocery store, and the steak tips were mushy. It was horrible and a total waste of about $80. We threw a bunch of it out it was so bad. I'd never go back.

We ordered burgers once and did not think they were very good. We were really disappointed.

We got it as a gift. We loved it, though we haven't tried the scallops / chops / or grautin. It was good though.

You're not alone - we can't stand them either. The burgers had a strange texture IIRC - we dumped a bunch of it. And it was far too expensive for the quality.

We received 4 filets last year for Christmas and finally got around to eating them recently and they were really really good - even, you know, 10 months later.
I liked them so much I was considering sending them to people as gifts this year.

My parents got a Omaha gift card as a gift and we were visiting when they tried the filet mignons. They were OK, a little small for my tastes, but not worth the money. Just middle of the road in terms of taste and texture. (I prefer the NY Strips from Costco.) Their stuffed baked potatoes were very good, though.

We got 4 fillets wrapped in bacon for Xmas last year and didn't eat them until this summer. They were okay. I wouldn't order from them myself though - we have much better places around our house.
