'07 Who's dipped into their Halloween Candy already?

DH and I were at BJs 2 weeks ago, so bought a big bag of candy (twix/milky way/snickers/3 musketeers/m and ms) to give out to trick or treaters. Of course we opened it up about 2 days later and have been sneaking pieces ever since. I think the stores put it out so early, because they know people do this, and then have to go back and get more.

Anyone else do this too?

Normally, I would be the first to raise my hand in shame. However, this year we bought no candy and plan to go out to eat in order to avoid this yearly temptation!

I bough t a big mixed bag of Reese's PB Cups, PB Cups with caramel and the new Reese's crunchy bars. Last weekend I went through and ate pretty much all the crunchy bars. :o

But now that those are gone, I haven't touched it! :D

There's a pumpkin full of candy sitting right outside my office. I have walked past it at least 10 times today and every time I'm drawn to it, like a magnet.

So far, I have only looked.

We don't get trick or treaters (the boonies) so I haven't bought halloween candy in 5 years. Kind of a bummer.

i was so good, and havn't touched it for a week, then last night i couldnt resist, i opened the crunch bars.

i try to buy candy i don't like so the temptation is not there

We had trick-or-treaters on Sunday, but I bought the candy last Tuesday. I hid it from DH until Saturday night, when he proceeded to “sample” a piece of each (Snickers, Kit Kat, M&Ms, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Twix) to make sure it was “safe for the kids to eat.”

Since then, the leftovers have been sitting out on the counter, and I've been eating about one a day.

We bought one bag from BJs about 3 weeks ago. I just opened it yesterday, which is a new record for me. Did "QA" on a couple of pieces. ;)

i just bought it on sunday. and i've secured it in the basement. i won't open it until about 5:59 tonight.

however - dd (3yo) went to a halloween party of friday, saturday and monday. and she is very nice and shares her loot with mom and papa. so in a sense we haven't had to open the stuff i bought.

We have a lot of young children in our neighborhood, so I only bought Teddy Grahams - no candy. Dh is mortified at the thought of handing out graham crackers, but otherwise I would have polished off the candy bag and had to run out last minute :o

I stole my son's candy bag that was given to him at the gym daycare today.:o

There was an awesome homemade chocolate-covered pretzel stick in it. I was being a good mommy since that stuff is no good for him. The sacrifices we make for our kids.:D

We're in the boonies and don't get trick or treaters, so I didn't buy any candy.

Just so you know, yes, they are. In fact, I informed a friend of mine yesterday who's pregnant that Hershey's are as well (she had eaten a whole bag and was feeling guilty).

I believe the list includes Reese's, Twix, Nestle Crunch, Hersheys, Milky Ways, Snickers, and 100,000 bars.

Sadly, it's all been opened and finished. I told DH we were buying it too early! Drat. We bought our replacement candy yesterday...hopefully it will last until tonight. ;)

DH waited til yesterday to buy our candy. Of course, the second he left for his hockey game, (I don't even think he had made it out of the driveway yet) I tore into the Twix bars. *sigh*

These are my favorite, and I'm pregnant, too. If DD gets some tonight, I'm sure I'll be "borrowing" some. I deliberately didn't buy Twix or Kit Kats to hand out because I didn't want to eat them beforehand! Because of past indiscretions, this year I bought the candy on Monday and left it in my car trunk overnight. I did set it up last night to be ready to hand out today, but I'm proud to say that I've had only a few pieces - no where near where I would have even last year. I wanted to buy a couple of weeks ago, but DH said it wouldn't last if we had - and he's right! More me than him, unfortunately. :o

Ours has been nibbled. I was doing well and had it put away. Then DH brought it out on Monday. I've had a piece every day since.

Great - it's raining which means hardly any kids which means i've GOT to eat all the candy by myself.

Great. So DH thought it would be a grand idea for us to take DS out to a few friends' houses during the most busy part of ToTing. Which means we have the better part of FOUR FREAKING BAGS of candy sitting in our LR. DH is so taking it into work.
