Who we are:
We are a group of women who for 1 reason or another want to shed a few (or more) lbs. We need the encouragement of others no matter their size or goal and we thrive in an atmosphere where we can all support one another.

We welcome one and all. It doesn't matter what diet you are on (if any) or how many miles a week you run (if any) we will all find lots of help and support here.

Ok, seriously...anybody who told me the pregnancy weight would come right off is full of cr@p! LOL. I should easily weigh 20 pounds less than this, but I haven't lost a blessed ounce since coming home from the hospital. As of today i'm starting weight watchers. When I was doing it faithfully I got down to about 128. I can't believe I weigh almost 30 pounds more than that now. My poor little 5' frame. oy.
Issues: The major issue right now is that I go back to work on Nov. 26th, and I tried on my biggest work pants (worn during the first and into the second trimester, but non-maternity) and they DON'T FIT! I don't have money to buy new clothes right now, so I had BETTER get some of this weight off or I will have NOTHING to wear. Seriously! I've been living in the one pair of maternity jeans that I own, and I'm sick to death of it. Weight watchers starts right now!
One other issue for me is chronic insomnia, which leads to chronic exhaustion. Once upon a time I was running about 12 miles a week pretty reliably. Now i'm too freaking tired all the time to do much at all. I try to psych myself up to at least take a walk each day but that often falls through. I'm seeing my doctor next week to get a prescription sleeping pill. Last night my husband did all the feedings so that I could be well rested today and I slept like crap and feel horrible today. GRRR!:mad:

Ugh... I went to a reciepe exchange last night. It was fun but paying for it today on the scale. Thank goodness tomorrow is weigh in day. I'm still down for the week but probably not going to be as much as I would have been. The two glasses of wine were nice though!

Since many of us are working just to maintain around this time of the year, it seems like we'd have better results with a longer time period to average out the bumps in the road. As it is, I'm not even going to set a challenge goal this time around, because there are just too many variables for me to have any expectation of meeting it.

For me, I'm actually glad to have it even though it makes it hard. The reason why is because it'll keep me accountable, so even though I'm working just to maintain, as you pointed out, I'm more likely to actually carry that plan out as a result of having to post my weight weekly. I will admit, though, that I was tempted to sit this one out ;) but wouldn't let myself since I set a goal that I have to keep coming here until I reach my goal (glutton for punishment? :p ).

Well for me I really just started (6th week) so I have a lot to lose! Mini challenge or long challenge it will be the same for me. I feel like I picked a reasonable goal (4lbs) and will probably make it by Monday which is a week early. It does help that we cannot eat out at all no matter what.

I know what you mean. Three weeks is a short challenge, too. I'll be lucky to lose three pounds....in addition to thanksgiving it's also my birthday. I'm hoping weight watchers will get me through.
